Which files are you missing?
502  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 May 18, 08:44:14
Look at post 141 - files are interchangeable.

Moderator edit: This thread is split from the main HORROR thread to keep the installation stuff in one place for easy reference.

Some are rarred, some are zipped, and some are neither.
504  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 18, 06:04:52
I've got 7 rar files downloading at once, each getting 180kbps. Some times I think torrents are hit and miss, if you can get a seeder then great; if not, you're screwed.
505  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 18, 05:52:44
I've given up on the torrents, and gone for rapid share too. Should have it within 2 hours, as opposed to 2 days.
506  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 18, 05:14:33
This one at Mininova has 51 seeders: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2600472
NFO lists protection as Securom.
507  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 18, 04:11:45
There are only 2 seeders, so it's taking it's sweet assed time.

Pirate cat doesn't need to worry about street dates either.

I've always imagined that the conversation when designing a EP/SP would go like this:

"We're going to do a new ep, it's going to be around elders, since we've ignored them for so long. Some new clothes, new hairs and some antique furniture."
"We better start updating the code then. What do elder types use?"
"Well they pee a lot, so we'll need to change coding on the toilets."
"Oooh, don't forget watching sport on TV, my old man does that all the time. Better change something in that too."
"Chess! Old people play chess!"
"My Mom gardens, so how about we update some plants, but only from every second release, and replace the oleander thing with something of a totally different shape and footprint, to surprise the players."
"Excellent ideas, get to it people!"

[Why yes I have time on my hands right now. I'm waiting for the baby to escape.]

And so the delays begin. I wonder if they will try and sneak in another stuff pack in the mean time?
512  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Broken bodyshop and CAS previews on: 2009 January 11, 06:09:01
The type of files that normally can cause this are the default replacement clothing meshes where they might have taken shoes off, or adjusted a pants mesh, or if they have moved or recategorised maxis clothing. If it's put in the downloads folder instead of the Program files folder of the latest expansion then it will show up with a custom star and be deletable. If you delete it, you can corrupt the original game files and bork clothing.

So it only affects teens, YA and A - is it only maxis outfits that have this issue? Is it outfits from a certain expansion/base game?
513  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Broken bodyshop and CAS previews on: 2009 January 11, 02:59:19
It's when a default replacement gets deleted in bodyshop or CAS, or otherwise in game that can cause it to go splodie. When default replacements meshes are in your downloads folder, it shows with a custom content star and allows you to delete it. Have you deleted anything from CAS or bodyshop lately?
514  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Broken bodyshop and CAS previews on: 2009 January 11, 00:55:49
Do you have any default replacement meshes? Sometimes deleting a default replacement mesh can give this sort of issue.
515  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Is it bit torrent? on: 2009 January 04, 22:55:30
Every time you run the game from the original exe or from the launcher you are reinstalling SecuROM on your machine.

Yes, I have read this.  Every time I play my game I kick myself and I go to the securom instructions and do a search-and-wtf,there's nothing here to destroy!
And yet you seem to miss the part in the instructions about getting the no-cd crack.

At least with an ATI card, you can't get the NVidia bug. Grin   ATI cards aren't automatically made of fail.

Are you using aluminium cookware on a frequent basis? Just wondering.
Thank you my Mistress for making me spit water all over my keyboard. It needed a clean anyway.
519  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Some Basic questions on: 2008 December 22, 01:10:27
erk. I got that wrong then. To be honest I've never looked at what the game does by default, I usually use the lot debugger on move in to clean anything up.
520  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Please help. on: 2008 December 22, 00:20:54
Make sure you are using the updated versions for FT for all novel hacks. Does this still happen if you take out your hacks folder?
521  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Some Basic questions on: 2008 December 22, 00:18:58
I read it as being that there were still memories after doing a purge on the lot debugger, and that this might be a bad thing.

1) I have yet to have a burglary. This seems unusual. Would any MATY hack for OFB prevent this?
This is normally sado-random. There isn't a no burglary hack from MATY, as that would be contrary to Pescado's personality quirks.

4) I initially started the hood with mainly single's and had them move in 3Bolt townies/downtownies. The townies/downtownies have a memory wipe when they move in, however I note if any playable has woohoo'd the townie before movein that their memory of it remained. Does this cause problems?
No, it won't cause problems. Wiping memory options will only remove non relative memories, or memories that aren't relied on for other memories - like woohoo memories when the sim in question has kids. In your case it keeps the memory because a playable was directed to cause that memory, and removing it would be bad, unless you removed it from the playable as well.
524  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Did M&G break my build and buy custom content? on: 2008 December 19, 10:18:09
Obvious stupid question: after doing the installation, have you checked to make sure custom content has been re-enabled and restarted? Because the game will show and recognise most bodyshop items and walls/floors but not most custom options if it is disabled.
525  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: need help off topic - how to burn DVDs to DVDs on: 2008 November 11, 06:40:54
Use something like Nero Recode. But I'm with talysman, this is not the most appropriate place to get step by step instructions. If you're feeling really game, you could ask in Retardo Land.
