The bar problem went away when I installed the freshest copy of AM. I had the guy loaded up with negative moodlets before and he was still in the greens. Problem moot now.
Now I am just up doing voodoo debugging to figure out my massive lag problem. The game thinks its a slideshow. Graphic settings make no difference. 4 gigs of ram, quad core AMD, Windows 7 64bit. Cleared cache many times. Gonna search around more for answers.
Go get process monitor from MTS, it will let you know if there are any files being loaded over and over causing lag. I have had 4 items do this - one being loaded over 9000 times during the test run.

If I were you I'd just pick what you want to do: have a legit installation or a arr installation. You can then either Arr the base game, or buy WA. What ever you commit to, keep doing through out the entire series. Even if you do want to buy the game later on, still download it to keep your version numbers in order. It looks like every time they release a patch, you would need to patch the base/each ep/each sp separately.

Have you tried using the process monitor to see what it's loading? It may help you work out what CAS is getting stuck on. Otherwise slowly remove content until you get CAS back, and then add it back in batches until you know the culprit.

I immediately suspected tight pants, and the only mod that I thought might have something to do with it is Anach's "make-all-buyable (including books)." But that doesn't make sense as Anach's stuff has always worked flawlessly before, and besides this is not a core mod by my memory.
Seriously? Unless the mod has been cleared for 1.9/2.4, it doesn't matter how well it worked before, it can bork your game. I would suspect the mod before an EAxis bookcase.
