326  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: High resolution = Prettier game, but impossible to navigate catalog- Workaround? on: 2011 February 05, 04:06:53
I fail to see the problem. My screen looks the same at 1650 x 1080 and I have no issues with the catalogue. I am unaware of a UI mod for the catalogue, which leaves you with:
1. Get used to it like everyone else who has been playing since 2009
2. Try adding the other 16:9 res to the .ini files
3. Drop to a lower res, and have bigger UI but black boxing
4. Buy another monitor.

The real question for me is "Will it kill CAW?"

You DRAG files? That is so passé.
I have a batch file. Double click and it's done.
329  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: I need help for making a mod for teens Sims on: 2011 January 23, 23:22:00
Awesomemod is uninstallable without creating a firey ball out of your PC.
Getting in early before it starts asking "WRY AWESOMEMOD NO WORK"?
330  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Testing the waters: What do you want in a 'hood? on: 2011 January 07, 21:00:42
I like plenty of room for lots and plenty of living space really close to the main city. I use comm lots for skilling since they have so many bonuses, and nothing sucks more than having to go from the arse end of a hood across town to gain a quick level in athletic/at the library.
I also find that 20 x 20 or 25 x 25 lots are a good size for a house and a garden, while still keeping a more inner-city suburb feel to it.

Virgali, if you want to code a new launcher don't let us slow you down.
In the mean time, the rest of us will be using the existing simple methods to install store content and actually play our games.
332  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Logitech TrackMan Keystroke Assignment Problem on: 2010 December 17, 21:24:29
The name is very Aussie. Reminds me of a classic Slim Dusty song:
Quote
I love to have a beer with Duncan
I love to have a beer with Dunc.
We drink in moderation
And we never ever ever get rollin' drunk
We drink at the Town and Country
Where the atmosphere is great
I love to have a beer with Duncan
'Cause Duncan's me mate, yeah

GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!

Also: duncandisorderly - can you post the solution for others?
334  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You: December - Painful Patterns on: 2010 December 04, 02:31:50
How very true Kiki. I went to it's blog. There simply isn't enough brain bleach in the world to make up for what I saw. On the upside I now have plenty of entries for the women's clothing thread when it comes about.
335  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You: December - Painful Patterns on: 2010 December 04, 02:06:25
This thread is wrong on so many levels, it is difficult to know where to begin.

Suffice it to say that there are simmers who create stuff, and there are simmers who create nothing but make life difficult for those who do.

Why don't you fuck back off to MTS?

Oh that's right, you were banned. Just like your pal Claeric.

Out of curiosity, what are your computer specs?
337  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ridiculous texture banding and smudging after latest patch on: 2010 November 19, 21:35:42
My game has always looked like that.
338  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE MUNICIPALITY NEEDS YOU! SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY! on: 2010 November 10, 09:42:47
What about the newsbox? Easy to see from any thread/section.

What an awesome idea, I'm glad Pescado thought of it.
339  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause on: 2010 November 05, 05:05:13
I suspect in my LN game the neverending pause is related to mixology. Something is borked on the skill gain and for some reason when a sim is about to gain the first skill point it pauses forever. I figured that out by chance after 3 different games. I have no idea who are the sims freezing the game on my first saves but on the last one if I make my sim read a mixology book or practice on a bar it pauses forever at the skill gain. I didn't notice this before because I usually send them to a class.

The problem is I cannot prevent NPCs from practicing or learning skills. I suspect some other new skills are broken - this was reported on the BBS. On my other save games I can avoid freezing by using ResetWorld a few times, but it is getting too frequent now so it is impossible to play. I have to investigate this though, my very first game playing Late Night never paused or crashed for over 6 sim weeks. I did few interaction with celebrities and didn't try most new features.

The only mods I have installed are AwesomeMod and Twallan Master Controller. Games played with store content but no other CC, cache deleted.

Just remember, AM is not updated for LN yet.
340  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is anyone else having Launcher issues? on: 2010 November 05, 03:14:37
There is a way to combine the packages to make the game smoother. There are quite a few threads around the place discussing it.
341  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE MUNICIPALITY NEEDS YOU! SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY! on: 2010 November 05, 03:10:41
It will depend on conversion rates, but it is a few thousand a year. It's up to Pescado if he wants to indicate the exact value.
342  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is it really my processor? on: 2010 November 05, 01:13:11
Search through the forums. Heaps of people get CTD issues, it's not your hardware.
343  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE MUNICIPALITY NEEDS YOU! SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY! on: 2010 November 04, 23:37:43
If you enjoy MATY / PMBD / Awesomemod etc, please donate. It doesn't need to be a lot - remember if 700 people donated $5, we'd be close to paying for a year of SERVAR.
Every month we wait is more money we have to come up with.

I have donated again.

Ultimate Dark Trepie is Ultimate Dark Awesome.

I dare say we are still a couple of thou off the yearly total.
346  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New computer: Should I upgrate processor and RAM? on: 2010 November 03, 01:25:28
Find a computer store near by that has a good rep. Custom builds in Aus are $99 for labour including OS install/driver install/etc. Most will offer you a warranty, it can be a good idea to take it.

I am running an AM3 6core with 6gb ram and I still want more, so go as high as your budget allows - that way in 2 years time it will still pull it's weight. Video cards and ram are easy upgrades. If you go amd, make sure the board is AM3 - don't settle for EOL stuff, it will be cheaper now, but will kill you when you need to replace your mobo as well as your cpu.

Where are you geographically Lion, and what is your budget? I now do this stuff for a living, so I am happy to give you pointers.

I have this bar in my game, it's FUCKING AWESOME.
349  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 31, 01:59:24
I have one custom bar that I built [Vampire Lounge] and I'm using all of Jesslla's bars from the Pudding Factory and all have bouncers and bartenders. I have also had my sim moonlight as a mixologist without any issue. I'm using the latest AM.
350  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Vampires on: 2010 October 31, 01:39:54
In QLD the closing times are between 2am and 5am. I would love a hack to modify the close times or to make a 24hr bar. How can my sims have a serious bender if they get kicked out at 2am?
