one two-square room with nothing in it (I'm talking $1 walls & floors & that's it) costs $25 a night. I know this because I needed to make my caravan park (well, beachside camping ground) realistic & playable as a hotel lot.

yeah. if the interaction is already queued up for the newspaper thief, then the paper, no matter where it is, will disappear.
What I do if I actually want the paper is I pause the game as soon as the paper is dropped by the delivery person & go into buy mode & pop it inside.
I miss what happened in seasons where if you did it while the interaction was in queue, the thief would take an old paper, effectively cleaning up for you.
I'm not so sure I mind the thefts - keeps the yard tidy.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Heatstroke & returning from vacation - don't do it.

I found an interesting dilemma tonight. If a sim passes out from heatstroke, they will end up stuck in a loop of return home/wakeup. Basically, the go home command bullies it's way into the queue, making it impossible for a sim to wake up from their heatstroke, leaving their companions in shuttle bus limbo waiting to go home.
The way I fixed it was to use insim to enable build & buy modes, then I used the stuck object remover to delete the heatstroke-affected sim. The companions were able to return home safely, and once the home lot loaded, all people were present & accounted for.
It's unlikely that this would come up too often in most games, but you know me - callous bitch & all. Anyway, it's a heads-up to you all.

Tigerlilley, it is entirely possible that the item he found is for females.
When a male sim found a pair of earrings in the sand I figured I'd try & get him to gift them to his wife but I didn't spot them in his inventory so I figured it was a flub. Later, I went to change her appearance (to see if her tan would come off with a change appearance command) and on a whim I decided to look at the jewelry section. Sure enough, the earrings were there.

Interesting that you continue to blame me & my various hacks for this when someone who is running your hacks only, as well as two hacks we have subsequently ruled out as the cause by removing them from the game and still producing the same errors, is also having this same problem.
Given your obnoxious insistence that, despite the evidence to the contrary, it isn't your hacks at fault, I'll be taking out the awesome hacks and seeing if they are indeed the problem. Since, you know, they're the only common factor that aubreylaraine and I have in our game that I haven't ruled out as a cause through thorough testing.
And if, as you insist, this is not an "awesome" product failure, it might be wise to maybe look into a fix for this since I'm reading elsewhere that the sim-sim interactions are being attempted between a sim & a pet, regardless of what the person has in their game. I guess we'll have to wait until one of your sims tries to feel up the skunk for that to happen, right?

Judging from the popup, the implication was that it was a game problem (an animation was missing).
aubreylaraine - that's pretty much what happens to me. Don't save while the visiting pet is glitching though because that really stuffs things up for a while - it takes more than 10 deletes to get rid of it rather than six. I have the animal incest mod, nofreelitter and I'm going to check for petsmotiveadjuster_xptl297 just to be sure.
*Edit - that's a no to the motive adjuster, so it could be either one of the other two, I know I have those. I hope it's not monique's because I've got plans for that sucker.
*Edit the Second - it isn't either of those two hacks since I removed both to playtest. I can postulate that since aubreylaraine is having the same problems as me with a purely awesome game aside from the two ruled-out hacks, that this is either a game problem or that it's a failure of an awesome hack. As such, I have attached a second error log attained at this moment with the aforementioned two hacks omitted from my downloads folder.

I've noticed that in my game it's only happening with pets that were bought from the pet dispenser thingies, and only when they are visiting a playable lot. I'm having no trouble with the strays though.
I don't know why the walk pet thing is broken, but it only happens to cats and dogs that have been bought from the pet store. Weirdness.
I'm guessing further patches don't help any then? Bugger. I was almost at the point where I'd give that a try rather than having to click delete on the bug notification screen thingy 3-4 times to get rid of the visiting pet.

I'm having issues with playable pets that were purchased at the pet store. When a neighbour walks by with such a pet, the following error message pops up: Animation name is empty string.
Strays behave as normal & playable petstore pets living on the lot are not a problem whilst on that lot.
I have TS2, Uni, NL, OFB, FFS, GLS, Pets & Seasons. I am running fully patched up to S1 patch - I haven't been willing to risk the no-cd hack I have on further patches to date.

All Sims who go into the bathroom with the specific goal of taking a shower are being rejected unless they also have to pee, or the action is user directed.
One sim peed himself and then was repeatedly rejected from the bathroom until I lowered his bladder stats. He was then processed properly.
This still hasn't been fixed, as of the beginning of this month which is when I did my last batch update of maty hacks. Is it going to be fixed, Pes?

Well, those that get the want go, so long as they're not knocked up or parenting. otherwise, they stay home. I've got a custom uni in one hood and the Academie Le Crap in my legacy hood.
I've just found out that uni can be insane amounts of fun if you have a popularity sim, the college clock & the perfect hack balance. Of course, as soon as her grade bar is full I send her to her exams, but I'm finding that so long as the student has the right attitude towards it (outgoing enough to enjoy making friends/learning-hungry enough to want to be edumacated) then it's not an uphill battle. But I'll be stuffed if I'm going to torture myself pushing a sim that honestly doesn't want to be there through uni just because some idiot coded not going to be a bad memory.
