Excellent notion, and yet another reason to spork.

My sims' fun bars work the same way as any of their other bars, they can watch TV or play games or whatever until their bars are full, then the bars slowly decay until they do something fun again. Or the bars keep decaying if sims are doing something Not Fun.

The point is that EAxis basically undermined and systematically blocked talented and passionate fans from hands-on involvement with the game. We are left with a few stand out modders and a mass of dross. You covered the reasons why.

I spent a couple of days this week looking for decent sim clothing, it's sparse mate, it's sparse.

However, I'll just note that less than a fortnight ago I successfully downloaded everything in the first couple of posts from kinightguywhatsit. Some items are down to one link but the process is still functional. That left only 2-3 of the last pages of the this thread to go through for the latest downloads.

I'll move your post to the downloads folder, but I think something labelled Sims 3 store stuff on a skydrive will have a very short lifespan.

Read the instructions again, framework.zip is a file that needs to be unzipped. Then placed somewhere.

I find I have to drop the .dll into every game/bin folder or the new expansion is not recognised for booting without a CD. It's little enough to do.

The old method, which Pescado still uses and obviously Jolrei does too, requires a .dll in each game/bin. I find this method works and have never seen the need to change. The new method uses the Microsoftian garbage pit known as 'My Documents'.

Only to say that happens to me too, but not consistently, and in any folder. Win 7 64bit.
I hit F5 and it rights itself.

I didn't know it was an issue, it happens only rarely, I put it down to my SSD being too fast for Windoze.

I had to nuke all the seeds I found, they had no interactions. Haven't checked the letterbox since.

Did you find a pile of unpaid bills? 'Cos that would be the only link to AM.

I was clever, I made an unbreakable set of sun and rain umbrellas for my fambly, only to find the unbreakable ones last about 2 days longer than the vanilla.   

Do you use Awesomemod with debug mode on?

Also, did you try ctrl-click, which was the first suggestion I made.

I have had trouble with letterboxes as you describe too. I ctrl-clicked (or ctrl-shift-clicked, can't remember) on the mailbox and opened its inventory. It was full of boxes of omni-seeds and bills to pay. I nuked them all and the mailbox works again. I'm inclined to think it's the omni-seeds and not AM, but I also suspect AM is not getting the bills paid because of the blockage.

I have always thought the TS3 sims looked much more realistic than the plastic Barbie TS2 dolls. It is one of the main reasons I would never go back to TS2, in addition to the fact the sims don't age independently. TS3 sims have defaults now which enable people to get that plastic or realistic look and feel, depending on taste.

That cheat is good news. I love the weather but I had seven days of straight rain in autumn and seven days of snow in winter. That's ridiculous, it should be a percentage chance each day. Also, the temps bounce around like a yoyo, there should be more of a relationship between the previous day's temperature and the current day. I understand that in seven days you can't really emulate a curve very well, but it shouldn't just be random.

I also haven't worked out what the damn weatherstone is actually for. My two witches have tried it singly and together and only once did it work - and even then I wasn't sure what it did except give an impressive lightning show.
