Try now, it's working for me. Also, thanks posts usually get stomped. Be warned. Happy gaming.

My apologies, you are right, there is a current goombah in the system. Please hold your breath, normal transmission will resume momentarily.

Maybe we could add store instructions to the FAQ No One Reads.

Excellent notion, and yet another reason to spork.
280  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims fun meters/bars stay at halfway? on: 2013 January 05, 18:07:44
My sims' fun bars work the same way as any of their other bars, they can watch TV or play games or whatever until their bars are full, then the bars slowly decay until they do something fun again. Or the bars keep decaying if sims are doing something Not Fun.

The point is that EAxis basically undermined and systematically blocked talented and passionate fans from hands-on involvement with the game. We are left with a few stand out modders and a mass of dross. You covered the reasons why.

I spent a couple of days this week looking for decent sim clothing, it's sparse mate, it's sparse.

some features are redundant with Awesome and are redundant

You just made my day, thank you.

Topped by a redundant post. Triple win.
283  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 December 27, 19:36:20
Thanks for posting all the links to the various compiled store updates.  I know you most likely have to update the links alot as most of the ones listed were either broken or deleted due to copyright BS.  Was just wondering if a new store update was coming soon or if its just better to plow thru the 5-6 pages at end of download thread for the newest files.  Thanks again for all the links.

My job is to release posts into the wilds of this thread, what happens to them after that is not my problem. However, I'll just note that less than a fortnight ago I successfully downloaded everything in the first couple of posts from kinightguywhatsit. Some items are down to one link but the process is still functional. That left only 2-3 of the last pages of the this thread to go through for the latest downloads.

Booty isn't dead, but it has Paden, which is arguably worse.

Is Paden the only one left? Arguing with and abusing herself? Can I be bothered trucking on over to find out?

Here's my Store Collection, loosely grouped titles like Venues,Worlds,Hair,Sets, etc.

All untouched,so you know what to do.

I'll move your post to the downloads folder, but I think something labelled Sims 3 store stuff on a skydrive will have a very short lifespan.
286  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Do I have to put the download in all the expansion folders? on: 2012 December 21, 06:55:33
I'm pretty sure I downloaded both... I have aweconf.package and framework.zip in my downloads... But, what the hell do I know?

Read the instructions again, framework.zip is a file that needs to be unzipped. Then placed somewhere.
287  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Do I have to put the download in all the expansion folders? on: 2012 December 21, 03:53:20
I find I have to drop the .dll into every game/bin folder or the new expansion is not recognised for booting without a CD. It's little enough to do.
288  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Do I have to put the download in all the expansion folders? on: 2012 December 20, 18:59:31
The old method, which Pescado still uses and obviously Jolrei does too, requires a .dll in each game/bin. I find this method works and have never seen the need to change. The new method uses the Microsoftian garbage pit known as 'My Documents'.
289  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Folder Files Don't refresh upon Deletion on: 2012 December 16, 01:52:34
Only to say that happens to me too, but not consistently, and in any folder. Win 7 64bit.
I hit F5 and it rights itself.

I didn't know it was an issue, it happens only rarely, I put it down to my SSD being too fast for Windoze.

Witch! There's a tard loose in my thread!

Not any more. Cheesy

I've used both the farm stands and successfully purchased seeds.
292  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 30, 21:13:25
Just an off the cuff idea, does anyone else use Buzzler's BoxOfSeeds sorter for gardeners?
293  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 28, 11:50:58
Pescado won't load a custom world to test, he'll need a save from a regular hood, most likely.
294  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions? on: 2012 November 22, 22:27:48
Could you delete them from your inventory after they broke at least? Because some seemingly have trouble once the "unbreakables" break and they get stuck. They're very delicate, aren't they? Probably made of balsa wood and fine hand-crafted Japanese screen paper.

Haven't tried yet, just noted one was ragged again. Will check it out.

Yeah, they're extremely fragile!

Oh and cheers for the info, Jayroo.
295  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 22, 19:11:31
I had to nuke all the seeds I found, they had no interactions. Haven't checked the letterbox since.

Did you find a pile of unpaid bills? 'Cos that would be the only link to AM.
296  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seasons Impressions? on: 2012 November 22, 19:08:57
And if you're lucky your umbrella will last longer than one day. They break faster than any community lot toilet.

I was clever, I made an unbreakable set of sun and rain umbrellas for my fambly, only to find the unbreakable ones last about 2 days longer than the vanilla.   Angry
297  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 22, 09:36:41
Do you use Awesomemod with debug mode on?

Also, did you try ctrl-click, which was the first suggestion I made.
298  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 21, 23:06:32
I have had trouble with letterboxes as you describe too. I ctrl-clicked (or ctrl-shift-clicked, can't remember) on the mailbox and opened its inventory. It was full of boxes of omni-seeds and bills to pay. I nuked them all and the mailbox works again. I'm inclined to think it's the omni-seeds and not AM, but I also suspect AM is not getting the bills paid because of the blockage.

BTW TS2 sims are MUCH better than the gooey TS3 blobs of pixels. One of the major reasons I haven't switched.

I have always thought the TS3 sims looked much more realistic than the plastic Barbie TS2 dolls. It is one of the main reasons I would never go back to TS2, in addition to the fact the sims don't age independently. TS3 sims have defaults now which enable people to get that plastic or realistic look and feel, depending on taste.

That cheat is good news. I love the weather but I had seven days of straight rain in autumn and seven days of snow in winter. That's ridiculous, it should be a percentage chance each day. Also, the temps bounce around like a yoyo, there should be more of a relationship between the previous day's temperature and the current day. I understand that in seven days you can't really emulate a curve very well, but it shouldn't just be random.

I also haven't worked out what the damn weatherstone is actually for. My two witches have tried it singly and together and only once did it work - and even then I wasn't sure what it did except give an impressive lightning show.
