The point is that EAxis basically undermined and systematically blocked talented and passionate fans from hands-on involvement with the game. We are left with a few stand out modders and a mass of dross. You covered the reasons why.
I spent a couple of days this week looking for decent sim clothing, it's sparse mate, it's sparse.

Thanks for posting all the links to the various compiled store updates. I know you most likely have to update the links alot as most of the ones listed were either broken or deleted due to copyright BS. Was just wondering if a new store update was coming soon or if its just better to plow thru the 5-6 pages at end of download thread for the newest files. Thanks again for all the links.
My job is to release posts into the wilds of this thread, what happens to them after that is not my problem. However, I'll just note that less than a fortnight ago I successfully downloaded everything in the first couple of posts from kinightguywhatsit. Some items are down to one link but the process is still functional. That left only 2-3 of the last pages of the this thread to go through for the latest downloads.

Here's my Store Collection, loosely grouped titles like Venues,Worlds,Hair,Sets, etc. All untouched,so you know what to do. http://sdrv.ms/U3MPZOI'll move your post to the downloads folder, but I think something labelled Sims 3 store stuff on a skydrive will have a very short lifespan.

Could you delete them from your inventory after they broke at least? Because some seemingly have trouble once the "unbreakables" break and they get stuck. They're very delicate, aren't they? Probably made of balsa wood and fine hand-crafted Japanese screen paper. Haven't tried yet, just noted one was ragged again. Will check it out. Yeah, they're extremely fragile! Oh and cheers for the info, Jayroo.

And if you're lucky your umbrella will last longer than one day. They break faster than any community lot toilet.
I was clever, I made an unbreakable set of sun and rain umbrellas for my fambly, only to find the unbreakable ones last about 2 days longer than the vanilla. ![Angry](/smf/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

I have had trouble with letterboxes as you describe too. I ctrl-clicked (or ctrl-shift-clicked, can't remember) on the mailbox and opened its inventory. It was full of boxes of omni-seeds and bills to pay. I nuked them all and the mailbox works again. I'm inclined to think it's the omni-seeds and not AM, but I also suspect AM is not getting the bills paid because of the blockage.

BTW TS2 sims are MUCH better than the gooey TS3 blobs of pixels. One of the major reasons I haven't switched.
I have always thought the TS3 sims looked much more realistic than the plastic Barbie TS2 dolls. It is one of the main reasons I would never go back to TS2, in addition to the fact the sims don't age independently. TS3 sims have defaults now which enable people to get that plastic or realistic look and feel, depending on taste.

That cheat is good news. I love the weather but I had seven days of straight rain in autumn and seven days of snow in winter. That's ridiculous, it should be a percentage chance each day. Also, the temps bounce around like a yoyo, there should be more of a relationship between the previous day's temperature and the current day. I understand that in seven days you can't really emulate a curve very well, but it shouldn't just be random.
I also haven't worked out what the damn weatherstone is actually for. My two witches have tried it singly and together and only once did it work - and even then I wasn't sure what it did except give an impressive lightning show.
