 Cheesy
252  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Gahh..so what's the point? on: 2006 March 20, 06:46:13
When I've taken my sims to another playable's store to buy something, they will go to the register on their own. Then the playable sim who owns the store (though I'm not controlling them) will ring them up. Just let your sim stand at the register for a moment, eventually the other sim will ring them up.
I haven't played the owner's lot yet, so I don't know if he gained customer loyalty or if the stock is really out. I know that while at the store, restock markers came up whenever someone purchased something and the owner (who I wasn't controlling at the moment) would try to restock the items, but b/c there wasn't anything in his inventory, a messgage came up saying he couldn't. He also went to make more robots on his own.
253  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No 1st business memory? on: 2006 March 18, 22:43:13
Well if they bought it they should at least get a memory of starting a business like everyone else.
254  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / No 1st business memory? on: 2006 March 18, 18:33:21
Did anyone notice that when a sim purchases a deed to a business by someone selling it to them (real estate office), they don't get an "opened 1st business" memory?
My sims that started a home business or bought a lot over the phone have this memory but the ones that purchased it via the real estate office from another sim don't have the memory. They have the deed in their inventory but not the memory of starting it. Strange.
255  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: And the purpose of the cleanbot is??? on: 2006 March 17, 16:49:20
okay, for parties/wedding, etc. it may get some use. I guess for real sloppy sims that leave plates on the floor and puddles from showers (although not recommend), this bot may come in handy.
I haven't worked my way up to servo yet. I'm thinking of having my Mad Scientist making a whole warehouse full of them. Between them and the sentry bots, I'm envisioning an I-Robot type of takeover. (yeah I know, big dreams... Roll Eyes )
256  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: And the purpose of the cleanbot is??? on: 2006 March 17, 05:30:04
And letting it pick up puddles is a bad idea. Really.  Shocked The purpose of them is to sell them to dumb townies.

Lol, I said that to myself when I realized it really wasn't going to do anything usefull; This is the kind of crap to push off on those townies.
257  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / And the purpose of the cleanbot is??? on: 2006 March 17, 05:11:16
Okay, I could be missing something but what exactly is the purpose of the cleanbot?
If it doesn't clean the toilets, showers, dishes, take out the trash, empty the potty, etc. then what good is it?
How often is there a puddle on the floor or trash? and picking up old newspapers, that's only 1x a day.
Am I missing some of the features or uses? Otherwise this is totally a useless bot.  Angry

Inge has a couple new shinys that might be of interest
The Employee Token You use one token per employee and can preset times for them to start and stop work.  This needs to be used in conjunction with the Automatic Open/Close sign and will only summon employees when the latter is in Auto mode.

Wow, I was just thinking about requesting a hack for this yesterday! I thought it would be to complicated to do or take a long time since you have to take into consideration your playable sims that work at another's lot. (goes to show that's why I'm not a programmer but a tester  Wink )
259  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Walkbys are seriously messed up in OFB on: 2006 March 15, 21:48:17
Just shove them onto the VIP list.  Then they won't have to pay for the day (and you'll get free customer loyalty to boot!)

I've found that even when trying to give them VIP status, they still keep "deciding" at the ticket machine.
260  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Playable Shoppers on: 2006 March 15, 04:04:14
So if you teleport your sim to a business to buy something, they have to have the money-order trigger in their inventory, otherwise they won't be able to buy?
261  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Quick question: individual freewill on: 2006 March 14, 18:49:19
There is a hack for this on MTS2 (I can't post the link as I can't get to the site now). However, it is compatible with OFB, I use it in my game.
262  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: SimPE is released for OFB on: 2006 March 14, 02:35:14
yea!  Smiley
263  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 2 Warnings: Exit without saving and delete uniform on: 2006 March 13, 21:31:46
what do you mean by "deleting a uniform"?
264  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This is a store.. you are a customer... BUY SOMETHING! on: 2006 March 13, 20:14:55
Wouldn't that subtract from my playable sims funds?
265  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: House rules for Open For Business on: 2006 March 13, 20:13:13
If JM updates his harderjobs for OFB then I will use that too.

I think it is updated.
266  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This is a store.. you are a customer... BUY SOMETHING! on: 2006 March 13, 20:09:48
Yeah, I thought throwing a pay-party would be a quick way to make a fast buck, but nope.  Roll Eyes
267  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This is a store.. you are a customer... BUY SOMETHING! on: 2006 March 13, 20:03:50
Charging at the door hasn't been working to well for me. I have one comm. lot business, arcade/dancehall that I started with charging $70 then went down to $50 but only one or two sims pay to enter. I'm using the Bluewater arcade lot and I remodeled it a little and included a DJ booth. My sims has gained sales badges from trying to interest people, but they won't pay. What's the problem?

I also tried throwing a pay-party. I had my sim throw a house party on the phone and put a ticket machine out front charging $20. The person I invited to the party, even stopped to consider to pay. The music was playing and food was out but again no one entered.  Undecided
268  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Complaining on a date? on: 2006 March 13, 19:50:14
I had one of my sims, who has a home business, go on a date with one of her loyal customers. The date was in her house but the business was closed. A little into the date, she put out a bag of chips on the counter and he started to "complain" to her. Huh
She proceeded to talk to him and reassure him, they both gained relationship points.
Anyway, is this some sort of bug? Why is the "complain" interaction coming up when the business wasn't even open?

(this is pretty realistic to do on a date, though...maybe he wanted a home cooked meal?  Smiley)
269  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FFS OFB Compatibility List on: 2006 March 11, 20:24:14
The fasterbuyclothes hack is not working the way it used to. Now, no matter where a sim is standing if you click on a clothes rack the clothes choser will appear and they will pull a pile of clothes out of the air (even through objects & other sims) and walk to a changing both. Before they would at least walk over to a rack before the clothes choser would appear.
Should be resolved now.

Looks good.
270  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Smarter Cashier on: 2006 March 10, 22:23:23
It's a frikken cash register, not an ICBM launch panel!

LOL, they do act like it is though.   Roll Eyes
271  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 March 10, 22:20:58
I'm assuming the NL 3-9 version is for those that don't have OFB installed, is this correct?
272  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Smarter Cashier on: 2006 March 10, 21:21:57
So does this make it ridiculously easier to get the register badge? I don't want it to be to easy, I like the challenge.
273  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Want to buy that crafted item instead of making it? on: 2006 March 10, 18:06:19
What's this restocking business? (i don't get it)
274  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Community Lot items at home on: 2006 March 09, 21:04:00
I saw a hacked/cloned cologne bottle at MST2 for the home. (can't post link now)
I downloaded that and will try it.
275  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: FFS OFB Compatibility List on: 2006 March 08, 17:42:55
