I don't know how to do that.   One more thing,  I posted a thread before about my sims wanting to be friends with themselves and someone said it was the  handheld game causing it, so since then I have not bought any handhelds or music player thingies.   but I had a woman that I made in cass yesterday that did not have any handhelds or even a cell phone and she wants to be friends with herself.   

Ever since I installed NL and even after the patch, some of my sims that graduated college can only have one slot locked.   I have this one guy who graduated and I can lock three of his wants and he had three diplomas in his inventory,  but I don't think that is related.   

almost all of my sims have a diploma in their inventory,  even ones who never went to college.

Is this a bug or maybe a mod I have?    I am not starting all over with new people, I have invested too much time in the ones I already have.

I was just wondering if others were having this problem with the locked wants and extra diplomas?

my sims cannot throw food at the table or feed a bite of food to another sim,  I guess it is because of the "no eat crap"  mod.   but I don't care.   I am keeping it until it is updated.  I get sick myself watching them eat that rancid food .

I am also keeping "no buskers" until it is updated.  I hate when sims come to your house and start banging on the piano and they have no skills what so ever.   

About turning your computer off or not,  I am not sure what is right, everybody says something different.   I keep mine on all day and turn it off at night before I go to bed.
But I unhook my broadband connection as soon as I am finished browsing.   I have virus protection and firewall too but I am not taking any chances.   

I don't know that retchead woman but why is she jeoulous of JM?   She don't make any mods, does she?   I have never downloaded anything by her.   

I like the furious state too.   I love the fighting.   I have a couple of sims with only 1 nice point and they fight, shove, poke and fight with everybody.    I like the kids to fight too,  I hate when they are good friends with twin brother or sister and they keep playing "cops and robbers" til I want to scream.  So, I make them enemies with the insim.    I love it.

I don't have the p.c. but my sim kids run everywhere for about 2 days after they transition from toddlers.    How weird is that?     

I enjoyed reading the interviews, especially JMs'. 
 Poor thing he is old, old and has a long beard.  He  sounds kinda like Santa Clause  with an attitude.

sorry to hear about your computer, that stinks.   I hope you will be up and running again soon.

I may be getting ready to have one myself, my computer is three years old and the fan sounds like a jet engine at times.   

I had one dormie who did not come out of his room for a long time, so I used the move_objects and put him outside of his room,  then I had this sim girl interact with him and she did not like him so she kept shoving him and poking him and then she kicked his butt,   well, then I didn't see him anymore and I looked outside and he was standing at the edge of the lot, not on the side where they exit to go to class but the other side.   

Then in a little while I did not see him anymore and their were animations coming from his room, like pictures of the stereo being on,  so I went into buy mode so I could see what he was doing and he was not there, just animations.   I figured maybe he was hiding behind the door, so I rotated the lot all around and he is not in there,  he has disappeared.   

maybe he was afraid that girl would kick his butt again.   

whenever this happens in my game,  I try to remember what outfits are on either side of it, to make it easier to find,   and then I go into cass and the one that is not showing up except the head,  is always a maxi default.  which I assume means I have downloaded a skin without a mesh. 

 Then after I find and  delete it ,when I go back to the dresser I get normal pictures of clothes, no more just the heads.
  The same thing will happen when you are purchasing clothes downtown if you do not delete the offending skin. 

my favorite is the knowledge sim, they are easiest to get to lifetime platinum because most of them just want to max out all skills or be a mad scientist.   the only thing I hate about them now is they are the only ones who want to be vampires. 
 If you turn other aspirations into vamps or they get bitten downtown,  they have the "buy vampocillin d" want.   they don't want to be vamps.

I already downloaded but have not installed it,  Dark Matter says in all his posts about DatGen that you must have the update for your directx or some of the plug ins will not show up.

I removed the "piano cheering hack and everything seems to be working fine now as I have played several lots since then,  but I still am not sure if that was the problem or not because the last thing that happened before the NPC's started showing up was that my sim was on a downtown lot and she got bit by one of the Counts and turned into a vampire and when she arrived back home that is when the NPC's and Miss C. started appearing on the lot.

so, it may have something to do with Shaklins vampire hack as this is the first time one of my sims has been bitten by a Count since I installed the hack.

I will have to do some more investigating tomorrow but right now it is almost 1:00 am here and I am going to bed.

I need to clean mine out too and I am trying to deceide between datgen and simPe,  so I have two questions.

the last version of SimPe that I read about there was an issue with the program being too big for the screen or something like that, was that issue resolved?

and about datgen,  I would download it but I do not know how to install the april05 update to directx, if you double click it you get a bunch of files and then I don't know what to do next as it is not self installing can anyone help me please?   thanks

my game is seriously messed up,  the townies and npc's are appearing in my houses.  first some old lady townie showed up that nobody even knew and  then Miss Crumplebottom showed up and she went upstairs and started lecturing my sims about their bathing suits and they didn't even have bathing suits on and then she took out her knitting and she is still there.

 The last hack I put in was Inge "no piano listening"  and I know it is not that.

It is pretty funny though.

I have this one sim in uni who hates this girl that lives in his dorm.
 He has kicked her butt twice now, but still everytime she walks into the room he does the wolf whistle and swooning because she is a romance sim,   now how insane is that?     

I refuse to give up "no eat crap" and "no buskers".    I tried a subsitute for no buskers but I did not like it because it made the music instruments so that no sim could use them without being directed too, even on the college downtown lots.

If JM does not get the game soon and fix the"No eat crap", I am going to start cying, and you know how he hates wuzzies, even if you are a girl     

 He would probably get real mad and say "there's no crying in baseball"

I have 4.6GB's in my download folder.   Most of mine are clothes and hair, and clothes and hair meshes.   I only have 3 objects meshes and those are beds. 

  I would love to delete some of mine too but I don't know which mesh goes with what clothes. 

  I would pay anything to get a program where we could see the clothes and it would point to the meshes that go with them,   something like the simenhancer we had for sims 1.

Motoki, I just downloaded your elder fix, so I am going to delete all of my saggy, baggy elder ladies outfits,  that will clean out my download folder a little bit and thanks for the fix.   

I second that,  I just installed it last night.    I am crazy about the clothing tool, it is the neatest thing since white bread.   

I didn't know JM had a hack like this,  he has a lot more stuff that I am going to have to check out, damn,  he really  is more awesome than us.

I saw a post at MTS2 the other day that showed how to edit certain files in simpe to keep from getting the "this sim does not have a phone"  message.    but when I tried to find the thread again I couldn't.   You know what a mess it is over there.

 Shaklins' hacks have always been reliable in my games,  I had several of his hacks for sims 1.
