TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Folder Files Don't refresh upon Deletion

This only happens from time to time whenever I access folders from the Libraries shortcut tree. It technically does get deleted because if you try to delete the file again before refreshing, the system will say it no longer exists. If you search google with the keywords "windows 7 library refresh delete," you'll see the complaints about it.
Just tried this and yea, it's only happening from the libraries shortcuts. This only just started happening.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sims 3 Folder Files Don't refresh upon Deletion

OK, I'm only asking this here because this only happens in my Sims 3 My Documents folder. When I delete something, a cache file for example, it only gets removed if I refresh the folder. I can only find articles from when Windows 7 first cam out that pertains to all folders and files. This has only just started happening and it's driving me insane! Does anyone have a clue?

I re-named my Sims 3 Folder and installed the de-crapped updated version of the Greenhouse just fine into a empty game. The lot was in the bin, and the roof pieces cut the roof (just like Inge's). So, this means that de-crapifying the pack doesn't make it non-installable.
To install the new version of the Greenhouse in my actual game I did this: 1. Got the back up of the old (de-crapped) Greenhouse and re-installed it. 2. Went to the "Installed" tab in the launcher and the Greenhouse was showing first in the list. 3. Uninstalled the Greenhouse. 4. Deleted all caches. 5. Installed the new de-crapped Greenhouse via the launcher.
Then I went into the game and the lot was in the bin, the roof pieces were showing up, etc. I also checked the ccmerged.package just to be sure and it wasn't touched at all during the process.
Edit: @KawaiiMiyo, by the way, the Lemon Tree & the Purple Eggplant plants come with the Al Fresco venue that was released alongside MV, not the Greenhouse.
I think I've got a case of PEBCAK because now I have two lots and no objects.

I'd like it a lot better if I could fucking get this Sim fucking abducted already. I made a Sim just for that! He's got space rocks and moonstones coming out his ears and Searches the Galaxy when he's hip-deep in snow! What the fuck else do I need to do you weedy green bastards?!
Make sure your aliens have space ships.

I'm sorry but I think that sounds like way too much work and sounds like it might end up in a BFBVFS. Where did you find this Sims 3 complete thing at? Sounds fishy, just get the real individual torrents like everyone else and do it the right way, not this shit. Just my opinion.

If you have s3oc there's a base game eggplant that shows up, maybe added from a patch? Try that, I'll clone it and check next time I run it if I remember.
I think the basegame eggplant is the one you get from gardening opportunities that grows literal eggs. When I thought about that I thought so too maybe, but I remembered seeing an eggplant in the thumbnail. I doubled checked, it's a purple eggplant, marked as base game.

When the Pose Player came out, it opened the floodgates. Suddenly, every other upload to MTS was a damn pose pack, catering exclusively to the Brynnes of the world (which should have been the first clue that pose packs are a Pandora's box of stupid). Incidentally, the Brynnes of the world are also the people responsible for the 9,000 eye colors. They're the only ones who play their games zoomed in enough to tell what color their sims' eyes even are, much less differences in striation of the iris.
HA! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks all those "different" eyes are a total waste of time.

What I find most appalling is that there are several offerings on the very same page that are far more deserving. Cmomoney's pool slide (something many players have been asking for since 2009), Enirei's mod that allows your werewolves to actually behave as more than glorified collectors, and Fentonparkninja's entirely remade attraction system, just to name a few.
Lets not forget the Beard-o as well. *cough cough* ![Wink](/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

kissing_toast do you happen to know the correct names for the Purple Eggplant? I've been trying to add it to the plant list xml but cant seem to find the names. I was able to add the lemon tree since it was already there on the store plant list xml but the eggplant isnt and its driving me insane.
it's named accessoryEggPlant in the package, what does doing that achieve?

Updated OP. If you use sims3packs and rely on the launcher to update your fixed ccmerged file re-download it, they've added stuff for the new plants. The wedding cake? The one object I thought wouldn't break. So what's wrong with it?
Nothing if you use the legit version ![Wink](/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Also forgot to double check that one but it should be good.

Got the lemonade stand and plants fixed, twas a bitch. Will finish the oven and wedding cake tomorrow, for some reason in my initial run I was only able to make eggplant lasagna.
KT, I have no idea what your problem was with the plants but it may be related to the ccmerged.package, as my plants work perfectly fine, and I have only adjusted the ccmerged.package. The plants added two new resources to the ccmerged.package, and you have to set their group to 0x01000000. Holy shit snacks I didn't even think to look in there yet! Of course those are the two files I've narrowed it down to. I thought it was weird that they put those files needed for the plants in the package with the veggie cart as opposed to the pant packages, oh well. Thanks .
