What a fantastic collection! Sorry about the loss of the Tardis, it was looking good. You'll have to pop back on your timeline and recover it.
Don't know if you realise you posted two identical threads so I've merged them. You can delete one of your posts from in here.

I decided that if Eaxis could have square houseboats, then I could have a square spaceship. So I've built a mining ship module that can be landed on planets and then picked up later by the mothership. Currently the module is parked at 3.14 Wormhole Road, on a 25x25 lot. It is §148,749 furnished and §53,333 unfurnished. I've used the central area as the fuel mine and added some special effects. I got to use all the spacey furniture and replicators and teleporters and wallpapers and stuff. I also got to play with the lights again, so I am happy. The house has an airlock at each entrance to allow the homecoming alien sim to blow off the smells of the day and refresh their nasal palates. You may notice strips across many of the doors that release needed gases and also just a smidgen of perfume. So without further ado: The lava pit at the centre of it all. If you want to get rid of the smoke and keep some of the other effects, just look for the fog emitter putting out the smoke. I was looking for the mailbox inventory, to clean it out before packaging the lot, when I noticed I could trigger an alien visitation. I quickly replaced the caretaker couple with Lillibao Xoxxaw and Arkvoodle Pha'Lhaxalic, and the moment they met red hearts twirled all around them. So they're saved in the house, having just met for the first time. I haven't heard the alien voices before, they're really cute! Don't know if the packages will work at all and where they should go if they do. The mods or the library folder seem like good candidates. P.S. The mailbox never did get cleaned out, so you might want to do that.

YISS! That was my favourite house of them all. I am currently playing my sibling scientists in it, although it now boasts an underground lab as well.
ReRybka, just a quiet word here. Do you know who I am?TM Hmm?
I am a power-crazed crotch with modly powers. Let's hope you don't CHOOSE to make colour schemes mandatory, get my drift?

Can anyone make 16 Alameda Walk sit flush to the ground? Everytime I try to install it into a game it creates a great pit of the lot on which I place it?
It does that for me, too. The house was probably not built on a flat section. I've voted my votes. I didn't vote for any houses with living underground, or those that made sims live in glass boxes, as I personally prefer realism in my game. It was still a hard choice as there are so many yummy lots.

My house does not really conform to the colour scheme at all, or only by a big stretch of the imagination, I don't mind if it gets left out of the voting. I don't expect speshul rights. It was fun to build and I now have a huge number of new starters from this thread. I am content.

You will need to find a fileshare site, like Dropbox or Mediafire or Mega. If you don't have an account with one, you will have to make an account (don't use your real name) and then upload your house to that site. Then you can get a link to share your download. Put that link in your post.

Grandma Murphy's Piece of Quiet This is a three bedroomed house on a 20x15 lot. There is one car parking space beside it. Furnished it is §19,779, unfurnished §15,641. I used the fresh modern living space theme with the blue and two greys. Ahem, when I say 'used' I mean that if you're prepared to play 'Where's Wally' ('Waldo' for Americans), you will indeed find all three colours in each room, some more than once. See, when Grandma moved in she couldn't bear to rip out all the lovely wood panelling just for a competition on a forum, so I had to be inventive with wallpaper. My accent colour is orange which will be rather obvious. I made a family to playtest and haven't found any difficulties, except maybe the dining chair on the far end, a sim only used it once and had the plate on her lap instead of on the table. Oddly enough the family I made bought the house and had about §1700 left, I don't know if famblies get more than §20K now? So the story goes that Grandma finally found her 'piece of quiet' out in the suburbs, she was happy to retire and planned to spend her days trying new recipes and meeting the neighbours. Life was idyllic until the knock on her door one stormy night, Grandma's daughter Priscilla and Priscilla's four children were shivering on the porch with nowhere else to go. What else could a poor grandmother do but invite them all in to stay? Six people, one upstairs bathroom, will Grandma retain her sanity? Download lot.Download lot with Grandma and her fambly. The children are twins, the toddlers are not supposed to be, but CAS won't let you make babbies. I was tempted to make Priscilla pregnant as well, but relented.

I don't usually participate in these sorts of things, but I did actually put together an entry. However, 2 different entries look a lot like what I came up with independently... So now it would look like I ripped them off. Back to the drawing board, I guess! Let's face it, there are a limited number of options for small houses in the sims. So what if some are similar? Your own use of accessories and colour etc will still make an individual house.

I figure you'll be able to choose up to three houses in the poll. Awesome! The color scheme thing has turned out to be a lot more annoying than I thought it would be. But I don't want to get rid of it halfway through the challenge, so how about this. Pick a color scheme (and one extra color) and use any of the shades on the slider part of the color wheel (like when you choose a skin tone). This way you have a theme of colors, but aren't stuck using specific shades. Nah, I think you're right, leave it as is in its entirety. Saying to choose a range of colours will only be unfair to those who designed within the guidelines. I do have a house half-finished, I'm sure I can cope, and it's supposed to be a challenge anyway.

Witch - the imgur thing isn't you, it is the links used. The direct links I originally grabbed didn't have the .jpg afterwards. No, that's not it, I still can't see any of your images in either post. I have no other blockers I don't think, checking now. Might be an ad block issue. ETA: Yep, ad block. Somehow i.imagur is registered as an ad site. I have disabled for MATY. Very nice lots, Skadi. I like SJ's lot and Jesslla's Victorian house, but boy oh boy, I just LOVE ReRybka's house. I know a wee bit about sims building and I can see real expertise here. Oh, the grey/blue and white house is really cool too. Jesslla I hope the poll will allow us to choose more than one house to vote for? BTW I am finding the colour scheme really restricting. One of the things I like about building is the exploration of colour as the scheme evolves through the process.
