226  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Makeup?? Where do you get yours?? on: 2006 March 29, 08:08:49
For natural make up, Helaene is still the best for lip gloss.
As for eye shadow, if you want natural ones, its better not to use any because natural eyeshadows aren't visible on the simmies.

Try this creator's creations from mts2. I use her stuff for all my females (hell, even males).

227  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Community Weddings after OFB on: 2006 March 29, 03:09:25
Just realised that community weddings are disabled after OFB.
Any idea if there 's any way to enable the community weddings again ?
I fancy the idea of free wedding cake, free wine etc.

Thank you  Smiley

I prefer my teens to keep their loves too so I used TJ's hack for that. I mean its only realistic to remember ur loves especially those teen woo hoos.
So how violently did you break them up, JM? Run the unwanted lovers over with a tank?

And OT,
its amazing how those sims remember their first loves. The legacy heir had been dead for decades but the romance hubby is still fearful of falling out of love with the dead heir. How do you beat that? That fear has been consistently there. I was almost tempted to bring back the heir and have them fall out of love  Roll Eyes

I try to give the young adults lots of sex, drink and skilling. Just like in RL before they settle down to one partner for life (some of them might cheat but that's stories for another day).

Witch, what's defined as a good match for you? Chemistry blots or good looks?
231  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 28, 05:10:52
Actually if you ask me, I think going to uni with $1500 only is more realistic. And it helps to pass the long hours in uni by getting ur sim to take on odd jobs like tutoring and such.
Going to uni with poor skills also helps to pass time by getting them to skill in uni.

Usually I just let them go into uni with 1-2 scholarships (for daily meals' expenses).

Maybe people complain that uni is boring because they send a highly skilled rich sim to school.

I am now really looking forward to this new awesome shiny mod by JM. I noticed that he has been going around several threads to do promotion for this new mod  Grin

Have ur sims wear the ninja outfits so that it will look more ninja-ish  Tongue
234  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Post problems you've noticed, on: 2006 March 27, 07:14:00
Post-patch now, it seems that my university kids no longer get the five hour finals warning. Not a big deal really, but does this happen (or rather, not happen) to anyone else?

I haven't had a five hour warning since NL came out.  It could be a hack conflict for all I know.  But I've gotten so used to it that I've never tried to fix it.

Same here. I haven't the warning since NL.
235  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jealousy Question (featuring Sim Brynne) on: 2006 March 27, 07:05:44
Brynne, that sim is pretty good looking. If I am you, I'll give him that 20 lovers! Cheesy
236  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 27, 06:54:10
Jeez, ur families are so unhealthy...too much gambling, sex and drink.
237  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Binned hair sharing on: 2006 March 27, 06:51:55
OMG!!! Motoki is male!  Shocked
Jeez! I am sooo baad at guessing genders!
238  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Binned hair sharing on: 2006 March 27, 03:18:21
Opps, gender mistake again lol Cheesy

Ok, I shall go and bug him when I finally register.

ETA: Motoki, I presume you are female, right?  Cheesy
239  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: i hate my customers, *why?* on: 2006 March 27, 03:14:35
the ones i chose of Squinges have worked perfectly well so far, no reason to suspect they won't carry on doing so
unlike my attempt at something a couple of nights ago, which i think was the cause of the sims tv screen pics to come out of the tvs and float in the room Undecided
(don't ask)

Wow! Tv images floatiing in the air. I hope you took a picture? That could make some good horror sims movies' material!  Grin

Rome Raven

The guy you are talkiing about is dewshine.
He has a tutorial here. I believe there is a link in this thread or the other hair related thread leading to his tutorial.

Datagen is not supported anymore by Dark Matter. So I didn't use it. Besides, he said the hair toner is bugged. So I was afraid to use it and instead opt for the simpe way.

Hmmm...Motoki, I am going to bug Quaxi too.  Grin Did you start a thread to bug him or did you PM?
Gimme the thread so I can go and bug/beg him too.

And Motoki, I am following Dewshine's tutoral exactly but when I delete the grey textures, the hair couldn't bin! Sad
I have no idea why. The families are sorted too. Because of that, I left the greys in.
241  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 27, 01:51:28
Since when do your sim kids have time to play anyways?

Mine come home, do homework, eat, nap, skill, sleep. Weekends you say? No, you skill.
No, you cannot be a kid in my sim household and therefore you may not have the "fun pack" now go to your room and study up on cooking. Don't come out until you're at least level 8. Tongue

My sims have never reach max skills because I am always having the kids jump on the bed, sing at that machine, play games. Those bums need to work harder then ... Cheesy
242  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Restocking tags showing in strange places on: 2006 March 27, 01:49:23
I use cc on my shelves and those stocksigns are flying everywhere! So i was thinking it might be a cc issue. Looks like its a maxis issue then!
243  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Got myself a bunch of new customers! on: 2006 March 27, 01:48:26
For me, I use Inge's bush a long time ago and revamped all the monkeys and donkeys townies. Everyone looks decent now.
It only takes a few hours and if you aren't fussy, 1-2 hours suffices.
244  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Restocking tags showing in strange places on: 2006 March 26, 17:22:55
Those flying sighs, are they out of stock signs for cc or maxis objects?
245  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 26, 06:44:37
Don't need there are new interactions this time round. I read all the stuff regarding the family pack and there are only normal objects.
So in that sense, holiday pack is actually worth while ( ducks rotten eggs).
246  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / My SUPER Hardworking Employees on: 2006 March 26, 06:43:24
This is driving me nuts. When I open my business, sometimes I didn't see the need to have the employees called in since they aren't needed when family members are around! But they would still come in and when I send them home, They did. But I will receive a notification every hour that they are too tired to come to work ! I mean, I send you home and won't need you for the rest of the day so why are you insisting on coming in?!

IS this a godamn fucking bug again?! OFB is really making me mad  Angry

ETA: my stocksighs are also flying all over the place even though I am using Numenor's Less hack.
247  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: i hate my customers, *why?* on: 2006 March 25, 18:06:19
Sighs.
Just max motives. That will solve ur problem. I think ur customers are in a crappy mood.
248  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Binned hair sharing on: 2006 March 25, 17:14:31
Interestingly a lot of people have peggy feb special but I cannot find the Jan special...
249  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Binned hair sharing on: 2006 March 25, 02:55:44
When I edited one of my hairs with Simply Stella's method, the hair dissappeared from my bodyshop. I'm sure I deleted the right things, and besides - every single edited hair went poof. I restored the originals and the hair popped back in. Does this happen for anyone else?

I have no issues following her tutorial but I have other 'hairy' issues.  You can read about them here.
