yeah, that seems to be my only option; that or the teleporter shrub and clothing rack. Not ideal for a period hood but oh well.

I didn't want to change their clothes one by one but I thought there was something that allowed you to do it globally. It seems like the one from simwardrobe allows you to do it for NPC's. Has anyone used this?
Still looking for townie one, I know I saw it somewhere...

Well my screen and game settings were set to 1024x768. I changed them both to 1024x1024 and everything seems the same except icons on desktop are smaller and wants/needs panel is smaller in game. I thought the graphics would be sharper or something but I guess not. Does anyone know why the graphics appear bigger and more realistic when I tilt my screen?

I recall seeing a hack that lets you set/overide NPC and townie clothes somewhere, I just don't remember. Does anyone know of a hack that lets you do this?

Yeah, akatonbo, that is what I had it set to so I was wondering if changing to another resolution would make the graphics crisper or something. I guess it doesn't.

What screen resolution should you use to have graphics in game show up at optimum level?
Also, why do the sims show up better/bigger when I have my screen tilted? (I have a flat pannel)

I started my home based Boutique by starting with a residential lot and making it into a a comm. lot (before moving sims in)..puting all the community stuff I wanted (including clothes racks), changing the lot to residential and then moving sims in. After starting home business, I just used the sale tool to mark the clothes for sale.

Did you guys know that you have to restock the clothes on the rack? I just noticed this and one of the clothes rack actually became empty.

rainbow, I missed the 2nd story as it was my first time playing and I had never played the Sims before and knew nothing about the stories/lots, etc.

I don't like building my own lots from the ground up(to time consuming), so I prefer to download them or build upon an already existing one.

Okay thanks Lythdan & JM. I played that house when I was first learning how to play and didn't even realize it had a second story until recently. I didn't realize it was unplayable as is though.

I'm trying to get the Dreamer house from Pleasantville into My hood (not the people just the house).
I found the lot in the Lot folder of Neighboorhood1. I copied it into the LotCatalog of the main folder and renamed it cx_00..00##.
I opened that file in SimPe and I see 331 SimRelations of UnknowntoUnknown. This is bad right?
So, how can I get the lot into my hood? Should I just delete all the UnknowntoUnknown in SimPE?
Is there another way besides physically moving out the Dreamer family, moving the lot to the lot bin (in game) and then moving them back in?
I don't want to lose the furnishings, etc, and I know that will happen if I move the family out.

I have a comm lot business with a ticket machine (no open/close sign) and two weird things happened at this lot...

1 - I took another playable sim to this lot with a date. The owner was there working the DJ booth, cleaning, etc. I made my sim buy a ticket but the date stood at the ticket machine with the buy bar over his head so I waited and waited...the date counter was counting down but even though there was more time left on the clock the date bailed out and said, "the date was okay..blah..blah..blah..), he then left the lot.

2 - I had my sim stay on this lot after the date left. A couple of sim hours later the owner (who I wasn't controlling at the time obviously) left the lot (was hungry). There is a grill on this lot, so I don't know why he didn't make something. He didn't shoo people out or anything, he just walked off the lot like a regular customer. The business remained opened and the customers were still being charged (my sim included) only the owner wasn't there.

Has anyone had these occurrences? How can you have a date on a lot with the ticket machine if the date won't pay? Is the owner leaving the lot a potential problem? What if this was a business using cash registers and the owner left like that?

I have a salon and I can offer makeovers with no problem. They will even sit and wait until I assign a sim to be a stylist.

I just got an object error when a child was putting a toy back into the toy box. What do I do? (reset, cancel or delete)?

All I did was have him change into Everday, which did nothing then have him change into Formal. I think maybe it was because I had him workout and get fit, I don't know really.

I don't think it works that way, kindpeoplerule,
I had my female servo activated by a female and she does not get a face when she changes into formal.

Ancient, so how can I get my female servo to get the face? I had her change into everday & formal and nothing works.

My servo is now a cyborg. I had him change into "everyday" but that did nothing; then I had him change into "formal" and he changed into a tattered jacket with tails but is face is now half-human half-servo. I tried this with another servo (who is a female) but it didn't work. I'm thinking maybe it's because I had him workout, so he became fit, then when I had him put on his clothes, they didn't fit anymore and he "busted" out of his servo cover-up. Who knows. Huh

This just happened to me yesterday...I thought I was bugging out. Since this was one of my favorite sims I was upset and thought see was going to be pregnant forever and that I would have to get rid of the pregnancy. She eventually gave birth...it seems like it took 4 days though. I did some other crazy stuff with this sim while she was pregnant (she is a model) so I thought it was because of those things. To make matters worse when the baby was born, she was given an ugly custom skintone that I had to change in SimPE. Never do that again. lol  Roll Eyes

Yes, please make a mod so that they "Destroy" on command  Cool.

My one and only robot so far is named Arthur_Servo1 (didn't think of anything cool like Sunny...lol).
I am trying to figure out how to name future servos so that they can have version #'s. So like when
Arthur makes servos they will be named XXX_Servo1.1 or XXX_Servo2, and when that servo makes a servo
it will be named XXX_Servo2.1 or XXX_Servo3 (okay, am I confusing enough?).
That is why I wish you could customize the servo or they get more "features" the more you create or something.
Anyway..."destroy all humans"...yes I need that for my "I Robot" story scenario.  Tongue
