201  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures install/update problem on: 2009 November 18, 22:43:29
Does the new patch have to be installed before WA can be installed? Or can I just install the EP as is? I'm not installing it until AM is updated, but I'm getting files backed up and reading what I can so hopefully nothing goes wrong come time to install WA.
202  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures Hits the Interwebs on: 2009 November 18, 01:21:50
I pre-ordered the download version of one of the earlier TS2 Stuff packs and it made me wait until noon on the release day to install it. I remember there was a countdown timer that told me how many days, hours and minutes I had left until I could install.
203  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: PLEASE HELP!! SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES.. on: 2009 November 17, 18:59:36
I know I'm going to ask a stupid question but humour me please I bought Sims 3 in US and I 've just ordered WA from UK are you telling me that they might not work together or is that just for downloaded copies ??

They'd be different regions, so no, they won't work unless you change the region code of the base game in regedit to match the EP's region code.
204  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: PLEASE HELP!! SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES.. on: 2009 November 17, 17:49:19
In order for me to get this to work I had to uninstall my legit copy of the base game and reinstall. Then I had to install the patch. Then i went into regedit and changed that from 1 to 7. I then installed World Adventures and it all seems to be ok but now I am getting another prompt for an update. Anyone know anything about this update? And if I do update will the crack be no good?

I really hope I won't have to reinstall the game. I'm not even really worried about losing saved games or anything, it's more I don't want to lose the families I created that are still in the bin and I don't want to have to reinstall all the CC again, especially not the Sims3Pack files because those take way too long to install.
205  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures Hits the Interwebs on: 2009 November 17, 17:03:12
They aren't talking about the EA digital download.

Yes they are. Read their post again.
206  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: World Adventures Hits the Interwebs on: 2009 November 17, 16:05:13
I'm downloading now. It won't be done for another 6-7 hours but that's ok because I'm not touching it until AwesomeMod is updated to work with it.

Is there going to be a list somewhere with all the hacks and whether or not they need updating for the EP like there was with TS2? I have a total of about 18 hacks, including AM in my game, most of them are for small things like removing the sleeping Zs, music notes, etc and stopping things like coughing, wrench tossing and foot tapping.
207  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: PLEASE HELP!! SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES.. on: 2009 November 17, 15:36:48
Ok, I'm probably going to sound dumb here, but I don't have any idea of how to do that. I've never done anything with regedit before and I wouldn't know what I'm doing. Any chance of more detailed instructions? I have XP if that makes any difference.

Edit: I think I figured it out. I got into the registry and found where it had The Sims 3 folder. I right-clicked on SKU, clicked on Modify and in the box that says Value data I changed the 1 to a 7 and clicked ok. Is that all I need to do? I hope I didn't screw anything up.
208  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: PLEASE HELP!! SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES.. on: 2009 November 17, 15:20:26
I have a store bought version of TS3 and am planning on downloading WA. Am I going to have the same issue? Because if that's the case, I'll save myself the trouble and buy the game.
209  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thumbnails on: 2009 November 08, 19:50:19
That mustache guy was discussed in this thread a few months ago.
210  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Thumbnails on: 2009 November 07, 14:07:12
It's not just Mortimer. I played the family for awhile and Cornelia, all the way until she died had her thumbnail occasionally revert back to her original adult form. I think Gunther had this problem too.
211  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Young Adult mouths are higher, any fix for this? on: 2009 November 04, 11:52:06
I've noticed it too, I just didn't think much about it. If I don't like how a sim looks when they age up, I end up using "editsim" to fix them.
212  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 October 21, 15:45:41
That's the same fix they told me to try to stop the game from freezing in CAS with my Radeon HD 4850. It didn't work, so I had to go back to my x1900. My graphics look horrible, but at least there's no crashing. I have had that fix for awhile and I got the riddler tiles anyway, so, no, it's not a fix for it.
213  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 October 20, 13:55:33
I bulldozed the Goth hoouse and replaced it with another home I downloaded and so far, I haven't seen any other riddler tiles.
214  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 October 14, 18:46:16
I just got these in my game last night, but only at the Goth mansion so far. The first time I noticed the question mark tiles, they were only on a few sections on the wall closest to the graveyard. The next day, there were more along the side as well as lots in the bottom of the pool. Now the entire house is covered in them. I was planning on replacing the mansion with a new one anyway, so I might just do that. Actually, the Goth house was the only original house I kept. The rest were bulldozed and replaced with lots I built or downloaded.
215  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Black Screen Then Computer Freezes on: 2009 September 04, 02:57:59
Over on the EA Sims 3 site in Technical they have a hotfix for ATI cards. I didn't really look at the post as I run Nvidia, but it supposed to fix a problem pertaining to ATI and the Sims 3 specifically. Just thought I'd mention it if any of you were interested.

I checked it out, and it just says it fixes "graphical corruption" which doesn't sound like my issue. With such a slim chance of it working, I doubt it would be worth the time it would take to switch the cards again.
216  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Black Screen Then Computer Freezes on: 2009 September 03, 21:02:58
The black screen freezing happened to me, usually in CAS with my Radeon HD 4850. After trying every possible solution and nothing helping, I gave up, took out my video card and put in my old Radeon x1900 and it hasn't happened since. Now I'm out $200 because I bought it in February, before the delay was announced, so by the time TS3 did come out and I figured out it didn't work, I was past the time that I could have returned it. It wasn't because of drivers or over-heating, so I still have no idea what caused it. XFX, when I contacted them, said that it's probably a glitch on EA's side, especially since I was able to play several of the newer PC games without any issues. Either way, I give up because it's too much bother to uninstall the old drivers, switch the cards out, install the new drivers, try the new possible solution, only to have it fail again and have to repeat the swap again just to play TS3. I'd rather just put up with slightly crappy graphics.
217  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 was to include weather. on: 2009 August 31, 02:10:00
I remember back before the game was out, when they were explaining moodlets, they used weather as examples. Like they said that if a sim is caught in the rain, they'd get a negative moodlet for being soaked. Plus, there are files in the game for stormy and cloudy skies, which seem to relate to weather. I think they were thinking about making weather in the base game (at least rain) and later changed their minds because they couldn't milk more money from us for weather if it was in the base game.
218  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Really Long Save Tiime on: 2009 August 21, 00:18:24
You can't really compare Sims 2 cc to Sims 3 cc. Most of the files for TS3 are much larger, so less total files will take more room compared to TS2. But, that being said, I have a decent amount of cc in my game, and it only takes between 10 and 20 seconds to save, no matter how long it's been since my last save. Of course, I do play with story mode (or whatever it's called) disabled. I just leave aging on and I flip back and forth between my families. That way I don't miss much and I have complete control over my sims.
219  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: NEW: Nude Pregnant Belly (WIP) on: 2009 August 19, 16:41:29
I just downloaded it. I always wondered why my pregnant sims suddenly didn't look pregnant when taking a bath or shower. Even in TS2 they had pregnant bellies while nude.
220  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuff from early development hidden in the files? on: 2009 August 14, 16:04:05
I wonder if they left in any objects or hairs like they used to do in EPs. I noticed when removing a daylight mod to patch (it made the daylight hours longer) there are lots of sky files and I found some named stormy, overcast, etc. which makes me think those have to do with weather. I wonder if they did like TS2 and put some of the files in, but didn't finish weather.
221  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New EP & still no Hood Editor! on: 2009 August 12, 17:07:34
Honestly, I don't even care about completely new neighborhoods. I just want the ability to put down new lots wherever I want them just like we could in TS2. For some reason the lot placement in both SV and RV bother me. I want to be able to place whatever sized lot I want where I want. Actually, this was the reason that I quit playing Castaway Stories after getting through the story just once. When I found out you couldn't add any empty lots, I didn't want to play anymore.
222  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Anyone know of a Mod to off your sims? on: 2009 August 09, 22:00:57
I miss the flamingo I had in TS2 that let you kill off sims with any of the death types. It was handy for storytelling purposes, and it allowed me to make nice haunted houses with ghosts of all ages, not just elders. I hope we can get something like that eventually for TS3.
223  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: School/Work Perfomance Problem is Making Me Sick on: 2009 August 08, 21:42:12
I've noticed the same thing, only my sims aren't fired when I find them, their performance is just in the red. And I don't have story progression enabled.
224  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 07, 00:36:19
I've never seen that trait before.
225  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 August 06, 16:28:26
I don't care if Jordi likes pudding! Shut up!

What?

They said more than just that you like pudding. It was funny at first, but got annoying after they spammed it 30+ times on tons of threads. I guess you have some obsessed stalker.
