Now it's clear? So...I repeat the question: It' s happening only to me?
No, it is not only happening to you. BUT, since test Awesomemod was updated, and boats cannot go on the road now, most people have stopped complaining. If you have updated Twallan mods, try with a new game, maybe the old game is broken.

I sometimes get a reset when the sims try to explore a cave, suddenly they're all standing on the shore of a nearby island, still in their scuba gear.
I've had two burglars in the middle of the ocean, no police. I think only the burglars have boats. One burglar stole a chest of drawers and took off in his speedboat in the middle of a storm. Gotta give him points for effort.

Erm, you could try the updated test Awesomemod? 6 July mine is timestamped. I have been running with setConfig smarterVehicleChooser true and I have no sound issues, nor have I seen a boat on the road.

I only have AM installed and I have the sound issue. Later on today I plan to install Twallan's no CD mod and take out AM, try a new hood and see if I get the issue. If I do, then we can rule out AM.
I did wonder if it's some kind of AM polling issue.
My sound issues started the minute I tried to buy boats for my sims.

Well for now I have found a suitable work around. I added this line to my resource.cfg file in my mods folder:
Priority 500 PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc
Then copied the dbc files into a folder named DCCache in my mods folder. Zipped up the mydocuments DCCache folder for when I need to add more store stuff then deleted the original. I only install store stuff through the launcher and everything is arr'd so I had no ebc files(legit store stuff). Works like a charm and all my fixes still work. Now my game starts up everytime. This will do for now until something else comes up or when I feel like playing around with cc magic or something.
Why can't you use the .dbc files from the mods folder when you wish to add content? Move them back to downloads, do the deed, then move them back to /packages.

We've had a deadline at work too, finished last night. I might have time to build something if we roll it over. I've put a poll up for 5 days, so we'll see what happens. Sounds like there's a bit of interest.

Hmm, EA store, definitely OK.
I dunno about CC. Personally I find it a pain to track down and load things for just one lot. You could put the CC up for download along with your lot. That might upset a few people and cause some fights, so that would be OK.
OK. CC is allowed if you include it for download in your post.

This month you will need to find a picture of something you like on the net and attempt to build it in the sims. Of course with sims' building limitations you sometimes have to be a bit creative in work-arounds. An example of this is Woozlebury Mews, a townhouse I made. Another project I am working on - but not for this competition - is this rather cool picture. So: Find a picture of a house, or commercial building, or even a park/garden you like. (If you mainly do a garden, then make at least two seasonal versions. e.g. summer / winter garden.) Keep the picture for display with your creation. Make the lot as big or as small as you like, but keep in mind that people generally prefer smaller lots for fitting into crowded hoods. ETA: Name your lots. Use any store content you like. If you use custom content (CC) you MUST include it for download with your lot.

Something interesting, I hope. Thanks for this ReRybka, it was a fun challenge. ETA: In case anyone was wondering, the alien sims are doing well in the hood. In fact they've gone a bit native and abandoned their spacesuits and duties. What is even worse is their discussion about removing their contraceptive implants and having a family. Let's hope the mothership doesn't return any time this generation.
