201  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Playing IP, my game run jerkily on: 2013 July 15, 20:52:03
Now it's clear? So...I repeat the question: It' s happening only to me?
No, it is not only happening to you. BUT, since test Awesomemod was updated, and boats cannot go on the road now, most people have stopped complaining. If you have updated Twallan mods, try with a new game, maybe the old game is broken.
202  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Playing IP, my game run jerkily on: 2013 July 15, 13:04:09
Install EPs and SPs in order - each one patches the previous. Sims wiki has the order. Don't worry about the SPs so much, but for EPs it seems to work better in the right order.

Use global patch 1.55

Use a crack OR Awesomemod OR your CD/DVD. (OR whatever Twallan's CD mod is).

Play game.
203  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Playing IP, my game run jerkily on: 2013 July 13, 21:55:35
No, it happened to many people.

Is your sound wrong? Can you see boats and jetskis on the road?

You need to update to the latest test Awesomemod to fix the jerky animation.

What's the status on recurring services, such as maids, for island homes?

My maid seems to be able to get to the houseboat, whether it's at a dock or in the ocean. My burglar had a speedboat but apparently the police do not.  Roll Eyes
205  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Having issues with Simport on: 2013 July 12, 13:57:19
Take a look at the sigs of others and resize your own. It's far too big.
206  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 09, 11:31:26
I sometimes get a reset when the sims try to explore a cave, suddenly they're all standing on the shore of a nearby island, still in their scuba gear.

I've had two burglars in the middle of the ocean, no police. I think only the burglars have boats. One burglar stole a chest of drawers and took off in his speedboat in the middle of a storm. Gotta give him points for effort.
207  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 July 09, 11:25:49
I have been running with setConfig smarterVehicleChooser true

It's OK to use again for those who use it.
208  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 July 09, 05:16:53
Erm, you could try the updated test Awesomemod? 6 July mine is timestamped. I have been running with setConfig smarterVehicleChooser true and I have no sound issues, nor have I seen a boat on the road.
209  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island on: 2013 July 06, 23:20:37
I ran for a couple of human hours last night with the new AM and no sound/choppy issues. That was with the fambly I was using saved to the bin and then put in the new hood. Oh and that was with smarter vehicles enabled.
210  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island on: 2013 July 06, 10:40:18
I ran for two hours, no sound or chop issues with smarter vehicle disabled. (New game.)

Pescado has updated the test AM, I'm about to try it with smarter vehicles enabled again.
211  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island on: 2013 July 04, 22:20:41
I only have AM installed and I have the sound issue. Later on today I plan to install Twallan's no CD mod and take out AM, try a new hood and see if I get the issue. If I do, then we can rule out AM.

I did wonder if it's some kind of AM polling issue.

My sound issues started the minute I tried to buy boats for my sims.

Wow, a floating palace! Those curved pieces are cool.

Well for now I have found a suitable work around. I added this line to my resource.cfg file in my mods folder:

Priority 500
PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc

Then copied the dbc files into a folder named DCCache in my mods folder. Zipped up the mydocuments DCCache folder for when I need to add more store stuff then deleted the original. I only install store stuff through the launcher and everything is arr'd so I had no ebc files(legit store stuff). Works like a charm and all my fixes still work. Now my game starts up everytime. This will do for now until something else comes up or when I feel like playing around with cc magic or something.

Why can't you use the .dbc files from the mods folder when you wish to add content? Move them back to downloads, do the deed, then move them back to /packages.

I reckon we can pretty much say this competition will now finish at the end of July. All the yes voters - I will expect to see an upload from you.  Tongue

Fucking fags.

Lame troll.
217  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 26, 20:28:15
I'm also thinking about CC and I'll backtrack on the requirement that it must be provided for download, links will do. Because I do understand that some buildings need extra content to match images.
218  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 26, 10:01:57
We've had a deadline at work too, finished last night. I might have time to build something if we roll it over. I've put a poll up for 5 days, so we'll see what happens. Sounds like there's a bit of interest.
219  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 26, 07:36:25
I guess this month's competition did not appeal to many.   Cry

I can follow the link provided by midge, but get stopped by ad-fly claiming a domain mismatch when I click on mega. I'll put the post in the downloads thread when it's a one click reliable download.
221  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 12, 23:32:31
@phoenixc - I don't know how you know what you've used, you will have to figure that out.

@jesslla - nice, but where's the external view? Huh? Tongue
222  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 10, 00:19:20
Hmm, EA store, definitely OK.

I dunno about CC. Personally I find it a pain to track down and load things for just one lot. You could put the CC up for download along with your lot. That might upset a few people and cause some fights, so that would be OK.

OK. CC is allowed if you include it for download in your post.
223  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Lot challenge, June 2013 on: 2013 June 09, 14:22:32
This month you will need to find a picture of something you like on the net and attempt to build it in the sims. Of course with sims' building limitations you sometimes have to be a bit creative in work-arounds. An example of this is Woozlebury Mews, a townhouse I made. Another project I am working on - but not for this competition - is this rather cool picture.

So:
Find a picture of a house, or commercial building, or even a park/garden you like.
(If you mainly do a garden, then make at least two seasonal versions. e.g. summer / winter garden.)
Keep the picture for display with your creation.
Make the lot as big or as small as you like, but keep in mind that people generally prefer smaller lots for fitting into crowded hoods.

ETA: Name your lots.
Use any store content you like.
If you use custom content (CC) you MUST include it for download with your lot.
224  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, May 2013, FOUNDATION on: 2013 June 09, 13:59:54
Something interesting, I hope.

Thanks for this ReRybka, it was a fun challenge.

ETA: In case anyone was wondering, the alien sims are doing well in the hood. In fact they've gone a bit native and abandoned their spacesuits and duties. What is even worse is their discussion about removing their contraceptive implants and having a family. Let's hope the mothership doesn't return any time this generation.

I appear to have lost the third one of my spiral staircases - a metallic modern one. Does anyone know where this originated?
