Actually do you people really need that party pack so much that you even bother to look for a pirated copy of it?
Dang! This website is stil in plain text to me. Cannot see the emotes and it doesn't even allow me to ctr-c and ctr-x ...

Heh, SpringCleaning is just over. I have never been so diligent in Spring Cleaning before.
Now its 1.6GB with 6300 files. Most of it is paid content. I have little free stuff because I am so picky that any thing with poor textures and such get booted out immediately.
The game takes 2.5 mins to load. Sometimes when it feels happier, it is about 2 mins.

The only thing I like about Sims 1 vacation is seeing skimpy dressed sims shivering in the winter LOL. I really don't like Pets and Vacation...guess the next EP is going to hold little attraction for me. But I'll still get it because probably most cc will require that silly EP anyway...

Now now, so Maxis found a way to enable lightning! Maybe we will have weather later than. Now I must try the elevator and kite. Looks humurously deadly. ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Simslice has a weather station that works pretty ok. I don't think it kills simmies though. His hack is such that it won't rain inside the house which is pretty awesome, imho.

|

I only propose 2 simple (no time wasting ) solutions here: 1. DON'T INSTALL LOTS (sorry if this sounds sheepish but hey, its the ultimate solution to your issue) 2. Create a "misc" folder and dump all those files that comes with lots inside...after that, forget that folder is there, pretend it doesn't exist. Go into game and enjoy the lots ![Grin](/smf/Smileys/default/grin.gif) And Sagana, I am not laughing because I thought of your problem long ago when I decided to be crazy and sort out my downloads...and yeah no 2 is the solution I am using now...and it works for me ... ![Wink](/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Would you download a hack from a modder who says stuff like this?
|
on: 2006 April 03, 10:50:37
|
It has always been said that testers should provide feedback to creators of hacks. I am just wondering if you would download a hack from a modder who said something like this. This is from http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?c=1&p=1137334#post1137334But I pasted the relevant parts here: User: Hi, I download this the other day and promptly tested it. Was having my YA make over his dormies when the game suddenly crashed on me. I never have a crash when playing sims before. It was in the middle of applying make up on the dormie or changing clothes for the townie when it happen.
I am not sure why the game crashed but after I took out this hack, everything was fine once again. Creator of mod: That's called coincidence. Interestingly, s/he has two 'helpers' out at that thread helping people with their various queries. So far, this is the only reply s/he made in that thread to a user's 'feedback' (as far as I can tell from those 7 pages of replies so far) and this is the only negative feedback on her thread so far. I just want to know what everyone's opinion on this is.

Hmmm...I didn't know that we could get hula dancers if the simmies are not in plat. So 'how plat' (as in what the level is) must the dead simmie be to get a marble stone? This is the first time I have a simmie dying in temp plat (and not perm plat) so I don't know how high the bar must be for me to get a marble stone.
Thanks.

And since the majority of downloaders are ignorant/ doesn't care, why should paid sites creators care? ![Undecided](/smf/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I think the only thing we can do is to inform people about it and to keep bugging the creators to do it. I think more and more people will catch on. And once Theo's tool gets released, creators will have less of an excuse for not doing it. I just posted a huge rant about it, heheh http://www.theliteratesim.comMotoki, its very well written! I wish lots of creators will read it. ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

All the hair binning info here is really helpful. It will prob helps me to improve my hair binning techniques if I ever want to do it again. But hey, in case we are all trapped in our little worlds here, I just want to highlight that most folks still don't care about hair binning or even know what hair binning is. I had to explain that to a friend who had hundreds of thousands of cc and yet had no idea what hair binning is. It seems only Mts2 and Matyians are very concerned about hair binning so far. And since the majority of downloaders are ignorant/ doesn't care, why should paid sites creators care? ![Undecided](/smf/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

My poor simmie is in temp plat mood when she passed on... Its not because she got her LTW to eat 200 of those blasted things. Damn, I wonder why I don't have a plat grave ![Angry](/smf/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Anyone have any idea? I am disturbed and because of sentimental reasons, I don't want to replace her normal tombstone with a fake decorative downloaded one (if there is even one out in the first place). I know there is no way to get her tombstone changed into the marble one but I want to know why it doesn't matter for me but it happens for Nihale. Thanks ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I had worked hard to ensure a grilled cheese simmie of mine died in plat. The grim reaper came to fetch her with his dancers and mai tai. But no plat gravestone for her! Is there no plat gravestone for a grilled cheese simmie or is there simply a bug in my game? ![Huh](/smf/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Thanks for helping if you have a grilled cheese death before.

Previously I fired a townie from one of my playable sims' shop. Another playable sim fell in love with her so I moved her in. Her job is reflected as "Employee" even though she is fired and her wage is shown as $0. So my conclusion is Maxis doesn't give them another job when you fire them and their status stay as employee, perhaps to be rotated in the 'employee pool' to be rehired again.

Heh, I thought all women or rather most prefer natural make up. Wearing too much makes one looks slutty anyway And I just wish to say that creators could consider having a few models instead of using the same one all the time. Having the same old sim all the time may help create a trademark but sometimes certain clothes, hair blah blah just doesn't look good on that one sim! ![Tongue](/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Btw, does anyone like Chaz Design's model over at TSR? I think she looks real glam for a sim! but nope, I wouldn't want to play her.

I know about the altar but I want my brides to wear my fancy wedding gowns I dl not the boring maxis one Brides might as well shoot themselves in the foot if they have to get married wearing that ALL the time So for now, its really a case of choosing b/w altar + maxis wear or wedding arch+ cc gowns+ home wedding? Nec. I appreciate u showing the pictures! ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) *grasps* there's a goth male wearing a skirt and I have been resisting downloading skirts like that for my males! ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
