I've also noticed that my sims with no aspiration benefits have slower-dropping needs and so on. I haven't gotten to test whether or not similar vacation benefits are borked now - has anyone had any experience with that yet? The family I'm playing just came back from a vacation and the benefits seem to be working normally, at least the ones that boost badge/skill time and keep comfort/fun/social maxed. The other benefits weren't applicable to them so I don't know if the rest are working or not.

No, I don't think it's necessary to remove them especially because they get replaced the first time they spawn in their respective vacation subhoods. I generally go back at a later time and delete them through SimPE because I don't like that the "Went to College" memory was added to the list of generic memories, but that's just a personal preference. You may want to burninate the "Met So-and-So" memories of everyone you spawned them with if you delete their relationships just to be consistent, but again I don't think it's entirely necessary.

If you want to choose the hairstyles, faces, and clothing of your locals, you'll need to create them in CAS and then add them to the correct locale. Make your locals in CAS, move them into a lot, use the lot debugger to remove the Mystery Sim and their trash memories, then you can use Argon's Townie Brick to add them to the correct locale. Exit the game and use SimPE to remove their relationships and any family ties they may have. You can also change their last names in SimPE at this point if you want. It's been a while since I created my locals but if I missed something I'm sure someone will jump in and poke me with a stick. If you have FT I'm not sure if the brick will still work. It was throwing out all sorts of errors for me so you may have to wait for an update or find out if Argon's older makelocal fix is compatible and follow the instructions in that thread to move your Sims to the correct vacation destination.

Is anyone else having trouble with custom lots? I cannot seem to get any of my custom lots to load. If I make in within the game it runs fine, but any lot I download will get stuck in the loading screen forever. I can hear the Sims moving around, flushing toilets etc., but I can't seem to play the lot. Is this like the Pets CAS thing? No pre-FT lots are allowed?
Have you tried loading the lots with the testing cheats enabled? Perhaps there is an offending object on the lot that can be reset or deleted. I haven't had any problems loading downloaded lots.

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Just Another Randomizer

My husband wanted to write something in Java (I don't know why, he does things like this all the time) so I asked him to make a Sim randomizer for me that did a few things that the others I have don't do. This is a very basic text-based unpretty randomizer as he just intended for me to use it, but I thought I'd offer it to anyone else who might like it. The first option will roll for up to five badges and levels that you can assign to your Sims using the Badge Juicer. The second option rolls for turn ons and a turn off, including the newish skillz-based options. The third chooses a primary and/or secondary aspiration. There is also an option to randomize all. I didn't ask him to include personality because all of my Sims are born in-game or in rare cases, I use TJ's college adjuster to assign a random set of attributes. To use it, just unzip the folder and double-click on the .jar file. You'll need to keep the lib subfolder with it in order for the app to run. If you have any problems, let me know. Please to enjoy!

Are the characters being added Townies or hobby Sims? The game will generate a head for each hobby and a Food Judge if you don't spawn them yourself. I don't think there is a way to prevent them from being created, but if you make them yourself you can at least have control over what they look like.

Just a small issue - "Buy A Tent" appears as a blank want with a simolean sign in the corner. The mouse-over text appears correctly but the actual want image isn't appearing.

My child Sims with Nature enthusiasm are rolling wants to bird watch but the interaction is not available until teen.
The interaction "Paint Grilled Cheese" cannot be resumed if the action is canceled or interrupted. The only option is "Scrap Painting".

What about judges, are those separate NPCs or do the hobby heads work as those?
AFAIK the Food Judge is a separate NPC but unlike the iconic hobby Sims, you can't interact with him/her at all. I don't think any of the other contests have a judge but I'm not 100% on that. Thanks ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but does anyone know what the Sports & Games hobby head looks like? The L&P guide shows the Sports Sim wearing the coach uniform with a blue baseball cap and the Games Sim wearing the jumpsuit from the top of the Gamer career.

Just a question though, if you don't bother to spawn dormies in your uni n'hoods will the game automagically create some when I send my sims to uni? If you are using nodormieregen then no, dormies will not be created. You may also want to use nossrespawn if you add your Sims to the Secret Society (via testing cheats or a mod) so the game doesn't generate a plethora of fugly members.

I had an infant receive a lamp last night - it was her very first memory. ![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/gynarchy/genie_lamp.jpg) Ugh. Does that mean you have to un-ban the gypsy if you have her banned with the visitor controller? She was banned from my lot and was still able to drop off the lamp.

Did the game spawn these professors or did you custom create/spawn them? The game spawned them automagically when my founder Sim started Uni. Isn't there a nomeetproffessors hack somewhere that prevents the spawning of profs altogether? I have TJ's hack that stops Sims from meeting their professors, but AFAIK there is no way to prevent the game from spawning a set of them. If you kill them off, the game will just generate new ones. I don't even have a rational explanation for my deep hatred of them, it just annoys the shit out of me that they pop up all over the place. They are walk-bys on community lots, they show up at my businesses to browse but not buy anything, and now they are turning up at hobby lots. They should be like all the other Uni NPCs and just stay in the subhood, not out infiltrating the rest of my neighborhood like a professor army.

My Grilled Cheese Sim is the only one for whom I chose a secondary aspiration. He was not perma-plat when I installed FT but mistakenly became so at some point when I wasn't paying attention to him. He has not yet fulfilled his LTW of eating 200 sammiches. The other Sims in the household all have the Fortune and motive LTA perks but have no issues with using aspiration rewards.
