TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Chemistry-Relationship panel - order mean anything?
|

Does the order in which sims appear in the Chemistry-Relationship panel mean anything? For example, if 2 sims appearing in the Chemistry panel both have 2bolts and same daily/lifetime score with the selected sim does the one that appears 1st on the list mean they have "more" chemistry with the selected sim?
What about 2bolts but daily/lifetime score differs, however the one with the lowest still appears 1st in the list?

http://www.jd-movies.com/allmenus.phpSimply typing boolprop testingcheatsenabled true won't work, nor will having it in your userstartup file. And it has to be in the latest EP/stuff pack game file (e.g. if you're using Family Fun, then update the Globalprops.xml file in your FFP folder, not the one in your Sims 2 folder...) Yeah, that's the site I got the info from. I thought a could use it by enabling testing cheats but as you have pointed out we can't do that. Well, since I don't do movie making, I won't be using the cheat as someone moreawesomethanme said it's too dangerous. ![Wink](/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) faceblendlimits on (default) will run a normalize on (born) Sim faces to make them closer to templates. This avoids some of the more extreme faces (unless you intentionally breed Marduk the Flayer). A side-effect is that you can end up with Elf ears, as the elf template is very close to template 1. So, it is best to set faceblendlimits to off if you don't want "Elf ears" or will the alternative be even worse?

Have you heard about any of the below "hidden" cheats? What do you think?
1 - 'AllMenus On' - This cheat unlocks ALL possible interactions with objects and sims. It only works if the game is launched in debug mode, so you'll have to make some changes in your game registry files. What does that mean? Can I activate it by using testingcheatsenabled?
2 - FBA 1 - useful for gameplay. FBA = find best action. Sims become 'smarter' and fulfill the needs that they need most. So if their hunger motive is in red they'll go and get something to eat first and then go play piano.

Okay, syberspunk, that explains it, ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . When they went steady neither had a crush nor was in love with the other. While going steady they developed the crush nothing more. So according to your explanation, when I had him cheat on her right in front of her face (and vice versa) neither got jealous because they were not in love. got it. It makes sense sort of, they are at the stage where they like each other alot (crush) but are free to date others. She did cry when he broke off the steady though. hehe. So what about his sister? She obviously recognized their going steady as committed enough to get pissed when she flirted with another guy. It's funny actually; the family was more serious about the relationship than the couple, lol. ![Smiley](/smf/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Any ideas on how to make it easier to break up the going steady (if that is all they have) without having to force a fight?

Wow, I didn't know that the lifetime want could be fulfilled in one shot, by having some stupid townie purchase a lot priced at 100K!, silly Maxis... I won't fulfill it that way though, to easy, at least not yet... ![Wink](/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Hi syberspunk,
A few more things I've noticed...(I haven't tried the new version 1.07 yet, so I'm still commenting on the old one, 1.06)
Going back to the couple that autonomously went steady (crush but no love), I had the guy cheat on her right in front of her face numerous times (kiss, make out, flirt) and not once did she get jealous. I then had her flirt with another sim in front of him, he did not get jealous but his sister who was in the same room did throw a fit (which means she recognized the cheating). Why are they not getting jealous if they are in the same room and even looking right at what's going on? He is a Money sim and she is Popularity, could this be the reason?
As a result, the option to break up would not appear so I had to have him fight her and then the option to break up showed (since she was furious). Would it be possible to make the break up option appear at all times or at least make it a little easier? I guess if they were to get jealous on their own then it wouldn't be a need for the easier break-up.
If the no jealousy is the result of their personality/aspirations, then disregard.
thanks

Forgot to mention I have the "Autonomy NL-and-later Marriage Traditional" version, if that matters. I like the autonomy, it just suprised me that he would accept going steady when he was already in love with another sim. Maybe you can just change it so that they don't accept if they are in love with another (red heart)? His love did get jealous (as it was done and accepted right in front of her). She lost the red heart for him. A little later she lost the crush as well when the girl did a flirt with her man. It was pretty funny to watch though. It definitely added some drama, lol.

I thought this mod will only allow autonomy if the initiating sim is in love with the target sim? I have had at least 2 cases of sims asking another to go steady when there wasn't even a crush there yet.
One example was a dormie trying to ask my sim to go steady. I didn't write down their relationship scores with each other but definitely were less than 40 daily/lifetime. She had not previously even initiated any kind of romantic interactions towards him.
The other case was when a playable sim asked another playable to go steady and he turned her down. Later on, while he was in love and had 100/96 with another playable sim, the first girl asked him again. This time he accepted! He had 47/35 towards her, she 49/42 towards him, no crush, nothing. Why would he accept going steady when he was in love and had a crush?

Regarding school. The school-at-home object would fall under the 'mods that give an unfair advantage over those who don't have it'.
In the next update, I'll be putting up some more flavor text explaining why the school system is operational.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. If this were to really happen I wouldn't send my kids to school, but hey, maybe the government has to keep tabs on any new people born into the society and this is the way to do it or something. ![Tongue](/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Technically, your female founder could have 7 kids with random walkbys and then get a job. ![Tongue](/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) You could also carry the love tub back with you in inventory to make it a little easier. (I just started thinking about strategy so this may not be a worthy enough item you would choose to take) ETA- That has already been addressed.
Teens are allowed to go to school. No Community Lots.
Okay, but is using the school at home objects legal? I'm thinking that since doing the workbooks at home only takes a sim hour or two, you can use the rest of the time having the child/teen skill build instead of spending 5-7 hours in school. This thread needs to be added as an attachment to the rules on the Legacy sight. ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Not sure if this has been mentioned before.... the Law Enforcement restriction states that Teens with less than 10 body skill can't leave the house for any reason, which means no school, so can I school them at home using Inge's school at home object - a desk that generates a workbook?

It only appears as an option if the Sim's mystery sim memories can be removed safely, without any adverse side effects.
You can still go in SimPE and do some editing, if you wish.
I got scared there for a minute as I deleted the memories using the cascade delete option in SimPE. Good to know I didn't mess up my game.

Maybe someone should suggest to Josh that it Not charge if you want to go home. Especially since, if you purchase stuff while you are on a comm lot, it seems like you could potentially have your sim stranded. I mean, I wonder what happens if you can't afford to go home. Hee. That could bring up some interesting scenarios, where your sim would have to busk or freestyle to make enough loot just to go home. ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ![Cheesy](/smf/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ...didn't think of that, I may test that case with some sim I don't like.

The outings thing is actually a race condition. The reason this happens is because the outing doesn't "reform" until after everyone has started unloading from the car, which means there's a free moment in which a sim isn't part of the outing. Naturally, he immediately seizes this opportunity to sod off.
Hmm, that sounds like a reasonable explanation. I thought maybe it was because the car (street parking) was to close to the portal and thus the accompanying sims were being sucked into the vast beyond upon leaving the car. (yes..I know... ![Lips sealed](/smf/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) ) syberspunk, actually I was just inviting them back over, Duh ![Embarrassed](/smf/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

I'm using this but I'm trying to figure out how to adjust it so that is doesn't charge 30simol. every time your sim gets in the car, maybe just 5simol. It charges when you leave the lot to go to a comm lot and when you leave the comm lot to go back home. So if your sim does alot of traveling that can add up per day.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sims within group or date leaving lot

I just started having a problem where sims that are in a group or on a date will leave (vanish) from lot upon returning to the controllable sims home (dorm, since I've seen this happen on a Univ lot). I was on a date and invited the sim back to the dorm, the date timer was at 3hrs to go and upon returning the date left. No end of date message popped up either. The same happened when on an outing. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
