126  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How many Sims ar in my neighbourhood? on: 2010 July 26, 21:12:28
I don't like bad grammar and certainly don't try and knowing make typos, but i dislike something more than bad grammar, and they are d**k heads like yourself ruining forums without inputting anything of value to the discussion, and who's only goal is to raise there post count to make themselves feel superior.

Something tells me you have no fucking clue what MATY is about. If only I could put my finger on it...
127  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 July 26, 21:08:34
I'm on a Mac so I need the decrapified files, unless that's also changed in the time since I last played Sims...

People like you are the reason the rest of us Mac users get a reputation for being whiny and demanding. Do a little research and solve your own problems.
128  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 23, 19:16:13
You should keep it activated.

Is checking a box suddenly too much work or something?
129  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: no cc shown in game on: 2010 July 17, 23:24:47
The launcher has nothing to do with package files whatsoever. Nothing you do with it will make any difference for packages.

This may just confuse things, but there is a custom launcher for managing package files over at MTS. I've never tried it myself.
130  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Ambitions Shelf - Homage to MATY or Declaration of War? on: 2010 July 15, 04:59:31
You can take it that way, yes. That being said, it's not uncommon for EA to reference people in the community. The townie named Cyl0n Sw0rd (or some variation of that, I killed them off immediately) was apparently a reference to Cyclone Sue, who used it as a username for awhile. I'm pretty sure I read the Cyclone Sue bit in the same thread I mentioned earlier, I'll have to see if I can track it down.

ETA: NVM. The Cyclonesue bit was something I read at PMBD, and it was the other way around. I could have sworn there were more references in TS2, so this may provide an excuse to fire up the game again.
131  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 July 15, 03:57:47
Thanks for the directions. I actually just downloaded some messed up patterns, and stupidly merged them without testing, so that'll be helpful.
132  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Ambitions Shelf - Homage to MATY or Declaration of War? on: 2010 July 12, 03:15:20
Indeed, some of the plants in TS2 had names like "More xxx Than You" which I always thought was a nod (or a stab) at MATY. Also, there's the book "Special Snowflake" in TS3 which made me laugh as it's a phrase thrown about on here and GoS.

Don't forget the "Los Pescados" (or whatever it was called) decoration in Family Fun Stuff from TS2. I remember reading some speculation that it was a not-so-subtle reference to Pescado.
133  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Problem With Lot Types and Professions on: 2010 July 08, 03:44:25
Remove everything and test out a vanilla game, and add in hacks one at a time until you figure out which is the problematic one. Delphy's dashboard isn't always 100% accurate, and this should always be your first course of action prior to posting. I'd also double check to make sure you have the most recent version of AM.
134  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Problem With Lot Types and Professions on: 2010 July 08, 00:51:21
I concur with Madame Mim: the first place you need to look is in your mods folder, particularly your hacks. I would guess that something is outdated or conflicting.
135  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 July 01, 01:22:26
It's entirely possible people commented that the download was borked earlier, but TSR deleted them. TSR is notorious for deleting anything other than "thanks, this is grate!!!" kind of comments.
136  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 June 24, 06:07:10
Anything in sims3pack form, doesn't have to be lots. Not sure if it has to be from TSR or not, though. I believe some lots at MTS have it attached.
137  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 June 22, 17:23:10
Never mind I just deleted the lot and am hoping that does the trick

Deleting the lot won't remove the doll.

I've still got the doll in my game after deleting the package in dc backup and deleting all the cache files is there another folder where it would lurk ?

The cache files don't store CC, and DCBackup is exactly what it sounds like-- a backup of all the content installed through the launcher. Remove everything from your Mods>Packages folder, and check to see if it's still in game. If it is, it's installed through the launcher and in your DCCache folder somewhere.
138  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 17, 17:07:00
My Firefighter guy is already up to level 8 after a few days and it's mostly just from increasing skills, mainly athletic which he does all day at the firehouse since he has nothing better to do. He doesn't even know his coworkers and only put out a few fires.

This. I actually had a sim get three promotions before his first day of work, simply because he spent his downtime working out. It was ridiculous.
139  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 15, 22:01:08
The link has already been posted in this thread. To be honest, if you can't find it you probably shouldn't be testing to begin with.
140  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 15, 05:02:40
AAAaawww sweety it's okay. I have luv for you too.  Kiss Don't be jealous, it's a Haitian thing. We like to thank those we appreciate.  I appreciate you having a big set of balls like that it's sexy.  Wink

What, as soon as you get your framework issue solved you turn into a fucking troll? Knock it off or leave.
141  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 14, 07:47:12
Actually, it is. There's a new framework installer for macs here, but I've never tried it. MTS has some pretty straightforward instructions on how to do it manually as well. Just replace the windows directory with User\Documents\Electronic Arts, and the rest is the same. There's not as much difference between the mac and windows framework as people seem to think. Even the old framework was pretty similar.
142  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 14, 07:12:29
I GIVE UP!!! I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I read all 20 pages of this thread and other threads....

I have the TS3 Framework Installer for Mac OS X  by Marhis . I installed the Awesome Mod in the package file and my game recognized it but it never loaded beyond the second screen. I uninstalled the longer party mod I had, still nothing. I removed all of my custom content and still NADA!

I removed my framework and installed the one listed by Pescado. I followed these instructions to a T:http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,17454.0.html
Still nothing....

I guess my hooked on phonics aren't worth a damn when it comes to figuring this out, lol.

Those are the old instructions. Have you tried the new framework method in Documents yet?

Edited to remove an extra question mark.
143  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Fambly starter - colour challenge. on: 2010 June 14, 02:51:40
I'm a big fan of Kuler as well. Since discovering it, my houses are starting to have a lot more variety color-scheme wise.
144  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 June 14, 00:46:40
Actually, I don't download lots at all either, but very nearly got this thing in my game anyway. I downloaded some clothes and objects in sims3pack form, which I always convert to package format. As I was looking through them in S3PE, I noticed one of the packages was the creepy doll download. Not sure which one it was attached to, but I definitely didn't download it on my own.
145  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 13, 17:04:48
- Outfit categories seem a bit scrambled (related to the fix above?), I found some everyday and athletic clothing in the swimwear category, for example.  Sleepwear also has a few random odds and ends from other categories.

I noticed this as well. I had some base-game swimwear bottoms pop up in the everyday category.
146  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 08, 12:04:04
I noticed the missing school issue as well when I attempted to create a school using the custom rabbithole rugs.
147  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Help with changing language and the launcher on: 2010 June 08, 11:30:41
You could always just torrent a multi-language version and select English when you install it.
148  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 08, 03:17:26
I don't see how it could be, I don't have any other hacks in the game. Could a bad installation be the culprit? (I'm guessing. I have no idea how that could affect it.)
149  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 08, 03:09:18
That's weird. I can still do that with Ambitions.

Hmm. Possibly AM-related, then. I haven't had the chance to test without it yet since RL has been keeping me busy. Thanks for the heads up.
150  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 08, 01:48:51
I noticed today that I can no longer click on a sim's picture in order to call them-- I have to use the cellphone and "call sim" interaction. Pretty annoying.
