Thanks, I found it. It was on Crazy Town. It's not one of the sites I regularly visit, so I couldn't remember where I saw them.
102  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "Log" and Region issues. on: 2010 July 11, 22:37:31
That was the answer to fix the region patching issue when the torrent first hit the net, does it give you an error after trying or just immediately throw up the "wrong version" error? I just download the manual patches. Region 2 for Base and WA, region 1 for HELS and AMB. It wasn't enough of a pain to for me to attempt a region change.

I don't have to change any regions to patch, just to install. I wasn't able to install WA at all without changing the base game's region to 2 in the registry, it would give me the wrong version error. I recently reinstalled my game after my old hard drive died and it was the same, I had to change my base game's region before it would let me install. After I did that, I changed it back and installed Ambitions and HELS like normal. The Launcher does give an error if I try to patch WA that way, because I guess it's trying to install all region 1 patches. But downloading the patches for the regions I need manually always works. I've never had any issues patching doing it the manual way.

I've been going through my neighborhood and redecorating the houses and making over sims, but the build/buy and CAS music is starting to get on my nerves. I remember seeing a mod somewhere that disabled the music in those modes, but now I can't find it. Anyone remember who made this mod and where I can find it?
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "Log" and Region issues. on: 2010 July 10, 18:48:52
I always have to change the region of my base game (store bought) from 1 to 2 in the Registry before installing World Adventures (Reloaded), but once it's installed, I can change it back. But even if I leave it, I can still only patch my base game with a region 1 patch. The Vitality versions of HELS and Ambitions are both region 1, so I get region 1 patches for everything except for WA. I can't patch from the launcher because of this, but with downloading the proper patches, I've never had any issues.
105  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 09, 21:32:29
As well, using the patch links in this thread, I am told I have the wrong versions for Base and WA, which confuses the hell out of me, since they've always been "1" before.

Launcher says:
Base- 1.12.70.006017 (Shouldnt it end in 1 or 2?)
WA- 2.7.7.006002 (Why does this one end in 2?)
HELS- 3.3.11.006001 (This one ends in 1, and the patch works for it.)
Ambitions- Something ending in 1, havne't tried yet.

Why are these so inconsistent? Whats up with the base number?

I guess I've gotta full reinstall. Ffffff.

World Adventures ending in 2 is normal. That's how mine is. My base game is region 1, as are HELS and Ambitions (both Vitality) but World Adventures (Reloaded) is region 2. So I have to get the region 2 patch for WA and region 1 patches for everything else.
106  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Anach's Sims 3 Mods - Updated 1st June 2010 on: 2010 July 08, 22:57:39
Will these need updating for the new patches?
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Sims 3 patch on: 2010 July 08, 21:21:45
I never patch until AM is updated. I'm not surprised the patch has issues. EA can't seem to fix anything without breaking other things in the process.
108  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Paysites must be destoryed - been destroyed? on: 2010 July 05, 22:27:42
OMG I still can't get the booty to load. I just get an error message saying "This site has temporarily exceeded its connection limit. Please try again in a few minutes." I have been trying for days this is the uRL that I am using, http://paysites.mustbedestroyed.org/booty/ Please tell me it hasn't gone for good. I will just lay down and die....

I'm getting that as well. I read in another thread that there's an ongoing DDoS attack, so that's what's causing it. It will pass eventually. This happens a lot of Demonoid and they're usually back to normal within a few days.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 July 01, 15:30:20
I ended up just using the Super Computer to kill off Marigold Racket, so problem solved. Well, sort of.

Last night when I was playing, I sent my sim to the consignment shop since I hadn't been there before, but there was no cashier and no other customers. I had her wait there for a full day (using maxmotives to keep her alive) and no one ever showed up. I just installed Windows again recently after replacing my hard drive, so this install is new as of 6/29 and I've only played twice. And both of those times were just to quickly makeover one of the families before quitting. Is there a way to force the game to generate a cashier?

110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 30, 23:34:33
I got a CTD when trying to change Marigold Racket's clothes. I clicked on the dresser and chose "plan outfit" like normal and everything seemed ok at first. I was able to pick her everyday outfit, but when I clicked on the formal tab, I got a CTD. I had just saved before sending her to the dresser, so I loaded the game back up and tried again, but this time instead of clicking on the formal tab, I chose sleepwear. I got an immediate CTD. Tried a third time, just choosing her everyday outfit, but when I clicked on the checkmark button, again it crashed. It doesn't seem to be any bad cc since I had just given Milly Pidgin a makeover in CAS and it was fine. So I'm guessing that Marigold Racket is just messed up. Does anyone else have this problem with her or any of the other pre-made sims?
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 June 30, 22:26:18
Ok, thanks. So this leaves my mods as the only things I didn't merge now, but I won't bother since every time a patch or EP comes out, they'll need to be updated.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 June 30, 21:39:21
I've merged most of my files down now. Actually, this is the second time I've had to do it. My hard drive died right after I did it last time, but luckily I had saved the pre-merged .package files on an external hard drive. Anyway, I was just wondering if there's anything that shouldn't be merged into a single package? I'm especially wondering about default replacement skintones. I have HP's replacement skintones and with all the ages and separate body and face files, there's a total of 20 package files. If I combined those into 1 file, would they still work? Or would it cause problems?
113  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 18, 15:38:21
As for missing fire trucks, did you look in your Sim's inventory to see if it is in there? It happened to my Sim once when the fire truck did not show up inside the fire station. I looked everywhere and then checked my Sim's inventory to find it sitting there. I dragged the fire truck out of my Sim's inventory and plunked it down at the fire station. She now has her own fire truck, and it shows up properly on the driveway when she returned from her missions.

When the firetruck went missing for my sim, it wasn't in his inventory or in the household inventory. That was the first place I had checked. I also checked the road from where the fire was all the way back to the firehouse, and it wasn't anywhere to be found. I later changed to another household and made him a fireman as well. I first replaced the firetruck and added a few more just in case, but after playing the second fireman for 2 in-game weeks, the truck never disappeared again. It was definitely strange. Oh, and there still haven't been any other spawned firemen. The two sims I had join the profession are the only two who are ever at the fire station.
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Tag Disabler on: 2010 June 17, 13:31:42
Is tag a new feature since Ambitions? I know kids could play tag (at least I thought they could, but I could be thinking of TS2) but I don't remember seeing teens or adults playing tag until I installed Ambitions. I had my sim go to the park to play guitar for tips and no one was paying attention to him because they were all too busy playing tag with each other.
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Product Registration Mod, Updated June 5th Again on: 2010 June 17, 13:25:18
Does this shiny new feature of AM impact this mod at all?

I think it means this mod isn't needed. At least that's how I'm interpreting it.
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Product Registration Mod, Updated June 5th Again on: 2010 June 16, 13:28:53
I have the .package version of the career bundle and my sculptor sim makes those red cube failure objects, but her husband who is a level 10 inventor won't make the last two inventions at all. I haven't tried the other careers yet.
117  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 15, 08:20:01
Huh. Well, I have a sculptor at level 10, but she didn't get an award ceremony. Will I get a message or something saying the award ceremony is happening?
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 15, 05:39:33
Yeah, I borked my game by changing active familiies while, unbeknownst to me, a ceremony was going on at the City Hall.  When it started up under the new family, the rest of the town was empty, because everyone was at City Hall, cheering like twits and undergoing critical motive failure.

Well, I guess that's possible since I was switching around families. Are the awards ceremonies just random, or does something specific trigger them? I played an inventor and a sculptor in one house for most of last night and while both got a medal to hang on the wall that they had to pick up from city hall, I never really noticed any actual awards ceremony. I know there weren't any sims at Town Hall that I could see. But there were lots of sims at parks and walking around town. I'm not really sure why no fire fighters were there, though because the stylist career was spawning other sims to work there. I had a sim join and there were like 2 or 3 other sims working, with one being a tattoo artist.
119  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 14, 15:08:43
I played all night and it was relatively bug free. I only came across one kind of big thing. I was playing a fire fighter and after the second fire he responded to, he came back to the station, but once he got out of the fire truck, it disappeared. So now I guess he has to either run or take a taxi to the fires? I also noticed that there were no other sims at the fire department at all. I'm playing Twinbrook, so I thought they'd have other sims set as fire fighters, but I guess not. My guy was alone the whole time he was there.
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange names on: 2010 June 12, 06:59:23
I think there's at least one premade family in Twinbrook that has names like that. I'm thinking it may have been added for Ambitions or the latest patch.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Creepy Doll in ur files messin with ur Sims3Packs on: 2010 June 12, 03:01:48
It reminds me of the red default replacement mailbox from TS2. It came attached with a house I downloaded and because it was named as a random string of numbers, it took ages to get rid of. It kept coming back, too, because I guess a lot of people ended up with it.
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 11, 14:59:03
I had the same problem as Shortyboo.
The first game I played, all the family links were okay. Then that save got corrupted so I started over with the same family (the Jones-Smith-Brown whatever) and they weren't related any more. They had lot all friends outside of the household.
I investigated, and some families in this save are borked this way, while others work just fine (the Rackets are correctly related).
What puzzles me really is that it worked in the first round and not the second.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue, then. Is there any way to fix their relationships and make them related again?
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 June 11, 14:34:00
Yeah, I ran everything through the Dashboard before and after merging and everything showed as being fine. I do have about 30 or so hair .package files that I can't get to merge, though. I tried splitting them into 2 groups and trying to merge them and each group gave me an error. After it says "manual merge of XML files required", I'd get a second pop-up that says there was an unhandled exception. It says "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" at the bottom. Then this box pops up after I close:

124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 11, 10:53:40
I finally got Ambitions to load, so I picked a household at random to play in the new town. It was the Bayless family. Anyway, the first thing I did was check out their traits, relationships, etc. and I noticed some odd things. None of them know anyone, not even each other. And none of them have anyone attached to their family trees. I figure this was supposed to be a family with a mom, dad, teen daughter and child son. Is this broken for anyone else? I switched to another family, and their family tree was ok, so I'm not sure what happened.
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 June 11, 10:48:49
In s3pe, make sure Display: Tags is checked at the bottom of the screen. Click on the Type header at the top, then the Tag header. This will sort the files alphabetically by Tag (such as _XML) and subsort by Type (such as 0x73E93EEB). Now they're all in the same place and easy to find and delete.

Thanks, I got it.

I merged most of my files (everything except game mods, sliders and default replacement skintones) and I got my objects down to just a few .package files and it definitely helped my load times. My game took over an hour to load before doing this, and this time it took a total of 10 minutes to get to the neighborhood. Unfortunately, my game is still running super slow. It hangs frequently and it takes a long time to load any textures. I guess I'll have to keep trying things.
