101  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Plants and paintings on: 2006 April 12, 17:35:32
I have been surfing (free sites) around looking for some nice plants and paintings but I am having a hard time finding some.  I did find some nice ones at MTS2, but I need more plants.

Does anyone know of any good sites with some nice decorative items?

Thanks much.

The guys over at HSR are apparently having fun. Too bad the menu animations don't all work while they're inverted...
Several other things don't work properly as well.

ETA: I see there's a thanks button now, and a new it's broke section. Hmm.... someone's been busy
The SHEEP! button is new, but the OOPS! You bwoke it. forum has been there a few days as a result of people's constant whining about it in the past.

Cheesy I like your spelling of the "OOPS! You broke it." forum.  I like Bwoke better.  LOL
103  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: MTS2 now MYL2 on: 2006 April 01, 20:18:52
Yes, I too enjoyed reading the posts by people getting all bent about it.  I could just hear their panties getting all bunched up as I read.

Pointing and laughing at them made my day.
104  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 16, 12:54:52
Looks pretty fictitious to me. I point out its COMPLETE LACK OF VERIFIABLE EXISTENCE. It isn't even available on the EA store! All they have is a vaporware advertisement. IT DOES NOT EXIST.

Okay, whatever you say.
105  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 16, 12:11:31
According to that page, this item is fictitious and does not exist. End of story.

I got an advertisement for it in my OFB case.  It's not fictitious, just simply worthless.
106  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need help with identifying creators of hacks on: 2006 March 12, 03:15:35
Wow, that was fast, thanks for all your help.  I checked Syberspunks hacks and the Quiet one is his.

Thanks everyone for your help.  It's much appreciated.
107  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Need help with identifying creators of hacks on: 2006 March 12, 02:53:13
I have two hacks that I'm trying to figure out the creators of.

NoMidStreamStop

NL_SS_QuietPregnancy

Would anyone happen to know who the creators are?

Thanks so much for any help.
108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Best Made Celeb Sim Ever? on: 2006 March 11, 19:26:16
Heh, I should upload my Ron Perlman sim there. I thought I got the likeness down pretty well and I didn't use facepaint, just some of Mermaid Cove's facial character makeups. I don't know if anyone would be interested in him though, since he isn't a prettypretty like Brad Pitt.

Ron Perlman is the shit!  I loved him in Hellboy.  You should definitely upload it.

Thanks so very much!  I do have Homecrafter and forgot I had it.
110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Help with changing floor and wall attributes on: 2006 March 11, 01:56:01
I have a lot of floors and walls that I have downloaded but they are all one dollar and do nothing for room environment.  I was looking at the package files in SimPE but I do not know what attribute to change.  Does anyone know what I need to change to increase it's effect on the room environment?

I was also wondering the same thing for some of the custom objects I have downloaded that have very low comfort or environment rating.  What would I change in the package file to increase these?

Thanks for any help.

I once saw Daniel Pleasant pee himself while holding his toddler and laughed my ass off.  I hadn't realized they could still do that while holding a baby or toddler.  I actually took a picture of it.

Did you download and install the DXT files and point Simpe to where they are on your computer?

You know what?  I need to have my lips ripped off right about now. I cannot believe what a moron I am for not paying better attention to the directions.  I totally neglected to download them.

Thank you for not pointing and laughing at me...actually feel free to point and laugh.  I definitely deserve it.   Grin

Thanks for such a quick response.  It's much appreciated.
113  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Creating default skin replacement - simplified method. on: 2006 February 18, 22:46:53
I am having an issue when I try to right click on the image and select Build DXT.  The option to Build DXT is grayed out no matter what file I try.  I have opened up numerous ones and it is always grayed out.

Any ideas on what the problem may be?

Thanks much.

Actually, Louis is a she, not a he.  And she is fileshare friendly, so you can request just about anything of hers over at Neighborhood 99 (which I've done several times myself) for stuff she hasn't put back in place at her simpage.

Gee, so sorry, I am not a personal friend of theirs so I did not know they were a female.  I was just trying to be helpful.
115  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for SimCribbling Skintones on: 2006 February 13, 03:07:12
Here is his page.  You have to actually click on the hair link to the left for some odd reason to get to the skins.

And here he is on the Exchange if you have problems downloading from his site.

I love all of his stuff.  Definitely good stuff to be had.
116  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Phone invite issue on: 2006 January 09, 16:40:06
I have been having an issue where a sim will invite someone over and I never get a dialog box of whether the invite was accepted or not.  The sim just hangs up the phone.  Then I will try again and the sim picks up the phone then immediately hangs it back up.  I'll try for a third time and either get no dialog box of whether they accepted the invite or I may get lucky and get the dialog box.  This happens all of the time, in every neighborhood with every lot
According to the log, this is not caused by any current hack, so either you have a really old hack, or you have something non-awesome making a mess. Sweep your downloads directory for stragglers.

Thanks!  You have once again proven that you are more awesome.  It was the old hack bringrealfriends.  I took it out and so far I haven't had the problem occur.

I appreciate your help.

I attached the log of the error.  I tried to figure it out, but I am not sure what I am looking at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Objects don't nag me hack on: 2005 December 31, 02:44:11
I think he is referring to the less whiny hack maybe?  I think they are talking about when sims pitch a bitch when they go to use the toilet, shower, pc and what not and they throw a fit because some other sim is using it.

If so then you can find it here and just scroll down to lesswhiny.zip.  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/nl/hacks/

I was checking out the new expansion pack details and watch one of the videos for it.  I noticed the male employee that the chick was reeming out had a new hair style!  I like it.  I hope they have more hair styles.  I'm a nut over new hair, ok, I am just a nut.  Tongue
120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: OT - You know you're an internet geek when.... on: 2005 December 11, 05:51:48
*Raises hand*

Me too.  I met my husband 12 years ago on my best friends husband's local BBS he was running.  Yes sir, he had a dial up local BBS, not this fancy internet shiat.  I was living with my best friend and used to stay up late and watch folks log on and watch what they did.  One night I decided to chat with someone and we hit it off.  A couple weeks later my friend's husband asked who I was chatting with and when I told him he said, "Oh my god, that's my boss!"  I met him after chatting with him for about a month and I knew before I even set eyes on him that we had the connection.  I ended up renting a room at the same house he lived in and we have been together ever since.  It took us almost ten years to finally get hitched though.  Yes, we are both computer geeks and we have four pc's in the house, one of which is our sever.  I was in the IT field for 10 years and he after 15 years still is. I was one of those that bought the original Sims game when it first came out and my husband was one of the folks that created meshes at TSR way back in the day.  He along with Dr. Pixel, DOT, Fae, Shenanigan, Marko and some others.  Seems like eons ago.

Ooh hacks, where?

I have this but haven't really had time to mess with it that much yet but will try this weekend to put some time into it. I want to make a Joan Crawford starlette and have her throw tantrums.  Grin

I looked all around the few sites that are out there and there isn't crap for hacks that I can find.  There is a hack for more employees to be available for hire and an experience and mood hack is located here http://www.themoviesplanet.com/.  You do need to register to have access to the download section, but it is free.

Here's the link to a few fan sites.

122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Who's getting the x-mas pack? on: 2005 November 14, 01:12:15
Nope, not getting it either.  It truly doesn't interest me, especially not enough to pay for it.  I have enough to do with what I already have and my new game The Movies.
123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Movies (the game) on: 2005 November 11, 18:05:20
theisz: Isn't there another mode of gameplay where you just make movies? Of course I could imagine that could get boring unless you have something specific in mind you want to film.

Yes, in Sandbox mode you have the option to just make the movies, but I do believe that would become boring real fast.  I am looking forward to the Advanced Movie Making and Post Production where I have more control over the movie scripts, scenes, props, music, sound effects, subtitles and speech.  I think this what most people will end up preferring to do as you have the most control over what the movie looks like.  Then again I am still farting around with it and trying to do it from building the studio up.  At some point today I am going to go get the guide book because it seems to be a multi-faceted game and I want to fully take advantage it.
124  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Movies (the game) on: 2005 November 11, 06:00:21
What sucks is you have to monitor your actors genre skills, stress levels, boredom levels, their food threshold (weight) and drink threshold (alcohol addiction) and their friggin overall mood.  This is on top of building your studio, hiring your staff of scientists, directors, actors, builders, grounds people, casting and film crew, script writers and so on.  Then you have to make sure everyone stays fat and happy and not overworked or not worked enough and they suffer from boredom.  You also have to train your actors in the different genres and make for damn sure they are the happiest or they throw tantrums and perform poorly.  You also have to watch the salaries of everyone and watch your budget all while maintaining a good image for your studio.  It's hard enough trying to build your studio the way you want it and it needs to be fluid so that your actors are not running from one end of the lot to the other during filming as the movies are timed.

So you've got firguring out how you want to layout the joint, building the studio, landscaping and making sure you have enough janitors to keep it clean and don't forget to have enough bathrooms.  I love how you hover the mouse over one of your people and it says they are going to take a dump.  LOL  You don't control the people like you do in the sims as far as telling them to go to the bathroom or have them cook.  They are mostly autonomous.  It's just there is so…so much going on.
125  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Movies (the game) on: 2005 November 11, 05:04:03
Shocked Holy crap this game has a lot going on.  I got it tonight and it's going to take me a while to get the hang of it.  It reminds a lot of Rollercoaster Tycoon where you hire all your employee's and build your lot and you have to keep track of so much it makes my head go splodie!  I need to get the guide book that goes with it.  I think I'll go pick it up tomorrow.  I'm not sure what I think of it yet because it's kind of confusing.  Maybe once I have the guide book and get the hang of it the more I'll know what I think of it.  It seems quite complex.
