101  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: 1.15 AM for Mac? on: 2010 September 09, 18:36:41
Test versions are always in the same place. If you can't figure out where that is by searching, there is a good chance you shouldn't be testing it out in the first place.
102  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Frozen at the load screen (and queue that 'Grease' song to give my post a tune) on: 2010 September 01, 05:40:43
The only idiot here is the one who keeps posting the same fucking thing in every thread. Knock it off.
103  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: I'm afraid I am awesomemodelly challenged on: 2010 September 01, 05:35:01
You NEED to belittle others so you don't feel so small. If you don't want to answer questions, DON'T. MEANness isn't a requirement. Seriously, find something better to do with your time....all this does is prove your irrelevance.

JFC. You seriously felt the need to post in multiple threads about how mean MATY is? Meanness is very much a requirement at MATY, it provides Pescado with the entertainment he needs to keep updating everything EAxis breaks.

I find it interesting that you accuse MATYians of being "driven by a need to belittle others" when you post in multiple places about the same fucking thing. Yes, we get it. You don't like MATY. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
104  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Changing Settings on: 2010 September 01, 05:29:33
I also want to say that it was very refreshing to see you guys wanting to help AND doing it without calling anyone an idiot. While searching through the forums, I've found that it is not generally the case.

Way to completely condescend to the people who are actually, you know, providing you with information.

Kisses you silly boy!

Something tells me you were too lazy to bother with the FAQ.
105  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: I'm afraid I am awesomemodelly challenged on: 2010 August 29, 16:59:31
Clearly, Mac users are not destined to use AM. Or, seeing as how tons of other Mac players use AM just fine, it's just the ones who can't read.

I concur with Seqkat. If you can't handle getting the mod installed in in the first place, you're probably just going to screw up your game anyway.
106  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 29, 01:50:50
For someone who has nothing to prove, you're certainly doing a lot of posturing. If you don't know what that word means, I suggest you use some of your valuable internet time to look it up.
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 29, 00:55:39
Actually I don't see any grownups here...  Roll Eyes

Going from what you've posted here, I can't say I'm surprised at your inability to differentiate between children and adults.

Despite your insistence that you have "other things to do" than be on the internet, you seem to be spending an awful lot of time in this thread. Unless, of course, you were just trying to excuse your laziness and/or incompetency at using a search button.
108  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 28, 19:55:16
Daphoenyx: Get the fuck over yourself. This thread exists to help people install the store content when they have problems. Despite the fact that you claim to be far busier than the rest of us poor MATYians, you insist on repeatedly shitting in this thread and making it that much more difficult for people to find the useful information. This is not the BBS.
109  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 27, 23:59:02
I don't know where did you read that I am "terribly busy", but if you want to believe that way, so be it

Are you incapable of reading as well as searching?

Congratulations if it took you two days, unfortunately I can't spend 24/7 on the web, you know, there are also other things to do in life.

Stop filling this thread with your random bullshit.
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 26, 00:52:14
I don't need step by step, just a way where to look, which you gave me and I'm grateful for that, like I wrote. Congratulations if it took you two days, unfortunately I can't spend 24/7 on the web, you know, there are also other things to do in life.

I feel like I need a bingo card for every time some speshul snowflake comments how "busy" they are. Nobody cares.

I don't anymore. Now I'm using the TS3 Recompressor with .sims3packs.  Grin

Congratulations. For somebody who claims to be so terribly busy, you apparently have the time to update us on the minute details of your life.

Edited to fix a typo.
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: how to download store items into my game on: 2010 August 20, 03:33:14
I take it you felt the need to break from this tradition since you are, in fact, posting.
112  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Missing ambitions objects on: 2010 August 16, 20:59:31
Yes, but assuming that it isn't the patch doesn't tell us anything. Are all saves messed up, or just this specific one? What happens when you remove AM and start a new game? MATY may be awesome, but we're not psychics.
113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Missing ambitions objects on: 2010 August 16, 19:11:06
The AM explanation seems strange, since more people would be reporting it if it were caused by AM alone. Are you sure it wasn't the patch installation? What happens if you try a new, non-awesome game?
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 11, 18:38:06
That's true. Decrapifying is only necessary if you want to install via the launcher, OR if you decrapified your other files (Saves, library, etc.). I did this when I was playing under boot camp for awhile, and so now decrapify all my downloads before putting them in the game.
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: how to download store items into my game on: 2010 August 10, 23:25:33
Actually, I do. This is not the BBS (or whatever name that godforsaken place goes by now), and nobody at MATY will hold your hand. Here's a big hint: try looking for posts that include "TS3 Store" in the title. Read them. Stop asking stupid questions that have already been answered.

ETA: Damn, ninja'd by witch. Oh well.
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: how to download store items into my game on: 2010 August 10, 23:03:06
There's this funny little button labeled SEARCH that magically provides you with links.

I'm sure theres a tutorial on here somewhere that maybe I missed.

You're not wrong.
117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What is it? on: 2010 August 08, 06:38:00
I started playing Sims 1 in August 2000.

Edited to add:
Now can someone who has a clue actually answer my question?

Try providing some useful information, other than the fact that there's a mysterious file on your computer and you played TS1 for awhile.
118  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 August 08, 06:28:17
I'm a big fan of small worlds, and have been playing with Crescent Cove for a long time now, available right here at MATY. Plasticbox's houses fit right in with the atmosphere, which is a big plus for me. Some people reported crashes in the thread, though I haven't experienced any, so I guess YMMV.
119  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What is it? on: 2010 August 07, 05:48:19
Wait, what? TS2 was released in 2004. How does that equal 10 years?
120  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 04, 23:37:29
Are there any people on Mac who are remotely literate when it comes to anything techie and who also give even half a shit about the Sims? It doesn't seem like there are.

It looks like the techie people who were able to create programs running on both-- JFade and the 3Viewer, Echo and Postal are the two coming to mind-- are no longer involved in the community.

In addition to parallels, which Silent Dreamer mentioned, boot camp is another common way of running Windows programs on a Mac. I'm currently trying out VirtualBox, mostly for decrapifying and S3PE, and it's working fine so far. There are plenty of options out there, the people who whine about wanting decrapified files are just being lazy.
121  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 August 02, 23:41:40
By merging the two files I hoped that s3pe would find and delete the duplicates for me, but in my game the duplicates show up with duplicate thumbs.

Doesn't work that way. Merging duplicate files will just result in duplicate files being installed in the game. This is why you keep backups of the individual files.
122  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My sims won't stop staring at eachother, help needed. on: 2010 August 02, 23:38:10
I havn't tried taking them out, was hoping I wouldn't have to lol.

ALWAYS test without CC before posting. We can't read your mind, and have no way of knowing which mods you're playing with. As Zazazu pointed out, something is likely conflicting or out of date.
123  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can't get "buydebug" to work. on: 2010 July 31, 18:04:39
Are you typing "buydebug" in buy mode? These are the directions I got from googling:

Quote
If not already done, do 'testingcheatsenabled true' in live mode, then go to 'buy' mode, use 'buydebug on'. Then go to the buy mode that has types grouped together (ie surfaces, lighting, etc), look for the question mark bottom right corner, click.

Comes from the official forum, so no guarantees about accuracy. I've never used the cheat since I thought AM enabled it.

ETA: Never mind, looks like the problem got solved.
124  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 July 29, 20:10:03
Alternately, someone could ask Pescado for the source code to S3RC/Decrapify or use the existing source code for Peter Jones' S3SU that extracts packages to compile a utility that either decrapifies on Mac or extracts Sims3Pack to package on Mac.

As far as I know, JFade's 3Viewer still works for extracting sims3packs to packages on a mac, but it doesn't decrapify or compressorize.

As happy as I am with my mac, we're a minority in the Sims community, and it's ridiculous to expect other people to constantly cater to your own personal needs. There isn't a perfect solution, but since the majority of Sims users are on Windows, you just have to work around it.
125  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 July 29, 06:08:39
Thanks. I saw other people in this thread making requests, so I thought no one would mind if I did too. I'm not demanding anything. If you don't have the files or don't want to share them with me for whatever reason, fine.

For the record, I did try to solve my own problem, but this time I didn't manage to. I tried to find files that worked, but couldn't. Then I tried to find current information on how to clean them on a Mac, but only found instructions for people who have a second machine running Windows. If the information is there I haven't found it yet.

I'm skeptical that you looked very hard. If you had bothered to search, you would know that Pescado has stated more than once that decrapified files should not be shared, so no, you won't be able to find them. The answer is to decrapify them yourself. Google DOS emulator for mac and go from there.

Edited due to my inability to type.
