Title: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: Bluescreen on 2007 September 19, 15:39:18 Hi guys,
since I'm an old, fortgetful bag of potatoes I put up a tiny, unworthy list of mods sites I visit more or less often. Maybe some people who are clearly more awesome than me might find it helpful, too, so here we go: - http://box156.bluehost.com/~aestudi1/forums/inteenimater/index.php --- Inteenimater --- TwoJeff --- Jenflowers Woohoo Teens --- Jordi Notes: Main stuff downloadable without registration, some subforums like "Testing Ground" from TwoJeff with Beta-versions of his mods show only up after registration - http://www.insimenator.net/index.php --- Insimenator --- XPTL297 mods & stuff Notes: Registration required to download mods - http://www.simlogical.com/ --- Inge Jones mods & stuff Notes: Forum available - http://www.sims2workshop.com/ --- Carrigon mods % stuff --- WinterMuteAi1 mods & stuff Notes: no registration neccessary for downloading stuff - http://www.djssims.com/ --- jfade mods Notes: Forum available - http://valdea.com/board/index.php --- DMA sets (worker, woohoo, entertainment, bar staff) and more Notes: Registration required to download mods - http://www.simslice.com/ --- mods & stuff from several modders & creators Notes: Bootified - http://www.modthesims2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=414 --- Monique --- Argon --- Numenor --- Echo --- Ailias --- Smonaff --- Cyberbob78 --- Morague Notes: when downloading with download manager be carefull to download only 1 item at a time, parallel downloads lead to errors. --- Windkeeper - http://simwardrobe.com/ --- Paladin's mods & stuff - http://www.sims2graveyard.com/ --- Squinge --- christianlov --- shaklin --- Dolphin26 This list is of course neither complete nor in any particular order. So if anyone thinks "hey, what about the great site of XY?", just add it in this thread! My humble excuses for opening this thread anyway. bye, Bluescreen Title: Re: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: Corylea on 2007 September 19, 15:50:57 Some of Monique's stuff can also be found on Insim.
Title: Re: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: mistymage on 2007 September 19, 17:03:41 One of my favorite modders who is non-awesome is Simsky:
http://simsky.parsimonious.org/ I really love his fire/burglar alarm since you only need one per lot and it reacts for the whole lot.. it does send up an error when in debug mode so it might be too non-awesome. The child training painting works great when you don't feel like teaching the toddlers. ~misty Title: Re: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: jolrei on 2007 September 19, 17:09:11 I really love his fire/burglar alarm since you only need one per lot and it reacts for the whole lot.. it does send up an error when in debug mode so it might be too non-awesome. I would be a bit apprehensive about any mod object that routinely sent out error messages as part of its normal operation. This suggests a botched mod. At the very least, it would be extremely annoying to anyone (like me) who plays with debug mode on quite a lot. Title: Re: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: dizzy on 2007 September 19, 22:43:18 I'd draw attention in particular to this:
Paladin's Sims 2 Hack Conflict Detection Utility at simwardrobe.com Run that every time you install new mods or upgrade old mods. Then delete whatever conflicts. Title: Re: Mod list for non-awesome demented people Post by: jsalemi on 2007 September 20, 01:47:02 Well, you don't always have to delete everything that conflicts -- there are some mods that will show up as a conflict, but load order counts. This is true (for now, anyway :) ) of some of TJs and JMPs hacks. I also know that you have to add a 'z' to the front of TJ's pregnancy for all genders hack if you use woohoo teens so it loads afterwards.
