Title: Help, for I am stoopid-Object Error(solved) and Vomit Error (LOL) Post by: starrling on 2007 September 15, 22:34:13 I have had a recurring BV error when a sim goes from their hotel to a comm. lot (on Twikkii Island, not that it matters). I have moved all my downloads out and put them back in according to which ones are most important to my game experiences. So, the Maty folder was replaced first, then TJ, then Squinge and all was still well. It wasn't until my MTS2 folder was put back in that the error came back. UGH! Do you have any idea how big that sucker is? So, by the attached error log, is there anyone out there who can (and is willing to) help me narrow it down or do I just need to put each file back one-by-one. I have a sinking feeling it's the latter but I thought I'd give it a shot. Beaniebabiesfriedinhotoil for anyone who can help.
Or not. Title: Re: Help, for I am stoopid (and probably screwed) - Object Error Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2007 September 15, 23:06:38 Try just removing the hacks from your MTS2 folder. That may fix the problem and then all you need to do is narrow it down to which hack is the offender!
Title: Re: Help, for I am stoopid (and probably screwed) - Object Error Post by: starrling on 2007 September 15, 23:09:55 I guess I misunderstood "object error" and thought it was conflicting with an object, not a hack. Hmm....thanks, I'll give this a try.
Title: Re: Help, for I am stoopid (and probably screwed) - Object Error Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2007 September 15, 23:17:11 Could also be a hacked object.
Title: Re: Help, for I am stoopid (and probably screwed) - Object Error Post by: starrling on 2007 September 16, 19:54:10 Well, it took me over two hours (and I actually finished the book I started yesterday because load times are SO slow!) and I never did see the error again. However, I ended up culling most of the crap that was in my MTS2 folder, keeping only the important stuff so the offending file probably got dumped.
But here's my next problem: I had the Traveller family go on a helicopter ride (to reward them for being my guinea pigs during load/re-load, etc. LOL) and they came back with motionsickness. I still had testingcheats enabled so I got an error message when the little girl tried to vomit. Is it an error on the programming or am I having a conflict again? If it's a conflict, I don't give a damn - how many times will a sim vomit in my game? (pregnancy vomit still works fine) So, here's the log file - it doesn't appear to be a normal hack/object-induced error. It says "Animation name is empty string." ??? Title: Re: Help, for I am stoopid-Object Error(solved) and Vomit Error (LOL) Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2007 September 16, 20:46:59 Maybe someone will come up with an anti-motion-sickness hack......
