Title: Uni/NL Patches. What hacks do we need to remove?

OK, so I've downloaded the official patch. It seems that none of the NL fixes replace anything I've added hack-wise, but the Uni list is a different matter. Some are obvious (piano fix, novel fix, etc), but others are not so.

So which MATY hacks are now obsolete?

And while I'm on the topic, I'd just like to thank JM for the stuff he made that has now been fixed in the official patch. And thanks for the hacks that fix the annoyances that haven't been fixed.

The only hacks you have to remove are: pianofix, and handheldfix.

Maxis didn't bother too much with the fixes made by the different modders; I think they just left the players to use these fixes.

So, JMP has to fix almost ALL his hacks...:). Go to work, JMP - stop conquerring the Universe...:).

There's also noplagiarism needs removing, and deathfix too unless I'm very much mistaken.

I went and made a quick and dirty list of all of the hacks that are now redundant.  Weather its complete or 100% correct is yet to be seen.

Thanks for your list. Looking at the list, I was thinking pretty much along the same lines, but couldn't be sure on a few of them as - following the advice of a fellow Simmer, I put some hacks in that covered things I hadn't yet experienced, but included them just to make sure.

NoNPCspam appears not to be needed. I have just three barista's, not a zerg swarm.

Has anyone been able to definitively confirm this?

I was recently testing hacks last week. I was pretty much playing around with my updated versions of Risky Woohoo, and while I was checking out Comm Lots, I noticed that there seem to be new NPCs at the clothing stores almost everytime I entered the lot.

Can anyone either confirm that:

A) The nonpcspam hack is NOT needed

OR

B) Having the nonpcspam hack does not blow up your game.
