Title: Binning community lots. Post by: ScoobyDoo on 2007 July 26, 06:33:29 I binned one of the downtown restraunts, the 50's place, because I wanted to keep the orignal one too. I placed the orignal back into the downtown hood after binning and a copy into the OfB hood. I went in to edit my new place and found a chef there. Will this cause irreparable damage?
Title: Re: Binning community lots. Post by: SaraMK on 2007 July 26, 06:47:03 It's pretty common for that to happen (with downloaded community lots, too). You'll just have an extra chef. The lot caused the game to spawn the chef when you loaded the lot for the first time, so it's not that the chef actually came with the lot.

Thank You. I was getting ready to revert back to a week ago backup. Title: Re: Binning community lots. Post by: incurok on 2007 July 26, 12:35:39 i think i have a similar situation to this.. i never binned the lot or w/e.. but when i went in to edit that downtown lot.. the 50's restarunt, there was a chef in mine too.. but when i went into the lot w/ my sims that same chef was not there.. there was some other chef there... wasn't sure why that had happened either..
Title: Re: Binning community lots. Post by: BastDawn on 2007 July 26, 13:01:04 Don't worry about it, the NPC generated is irrelevant. The only potential problem is when you're changing the lot and get an "object in use" error when you try to move the object the NPC is attached to. You can either get around that with moveobjects on or quit the lot and return; he's usually gone when you reload. It's just a harmless glitch.
