Title: Macro/call not calling some friends
Post by: Kyna on 2007 July 07, 01:10:17
Macro/call is not calling all of my sims' friends.  The two sims in this pic are unemployed dormies, therefore available to take phone calls.  My sim is calling other dormies he knows, but not these two.  This started happening since I downloaded the latest director's cut.

My playable just graduated, moved back home, then moved in his dormie fiancee and married her.  When she uses macro/call, she only calls the playable sim she is already at 100 LTR with, and she is not calling the townies she is friends with (with lower LTR).

This is part of a new efficiency improvement, and working as designed. You will note that those sims are seperated by a more than 9-point spread in their STR-LTR scores. As long as STR -9 > LTR, AutoYak will just let them cook. Only when STR needs to be boosted for LTR to move up more, or when the STR falls low enough on its own, will AutoYak now worry about it.

Pescado, am I correct in thinking that it works as:
IF STR -9 > LTR
THEN LTR +9
on a daily loop?

I would've thought it was an averaging, but obviously not.

don't forget, STR also decays by a certain amount each day, so the numbers appear to be averaging towards a central point.

LTR moves up to 3 points towards STR, either up or down, every 8 hours. So over the 24-hour span, it will move 9 points. So if LTR will cook normally today, there is no need to specifically call. So if STR is 100 and LTR is 20, it will move +3 every 8 hours towards 100. If STR is -100 and LTR is 30, then LTR will lose 3 points every 8 hours, moving towards -100.
