So everyone loves to babble about Lies and Propaganda, but here at MATY, we focus on the reality.

So here's the challenge: Predict the BUGS and FEATURES THAT FAIL TO MATERIALIZE as seen in the LIES AND PROPAGANDA. Winner is the player with the highest number of correct unique bug and omission predictions. A feature omission must be backed by evidence that said feature was either promised explicitly or strongly implied by official propaganda images and/or text. So go for it: PREDICT THE LIES AND PROPAGANDA.

WOW! This will be a challenge. hard to choose from when there will be probably so many of these buggies popping up everywhere in this new ep ;). Just betting to see which old ones from seasons like say the happy go lucky lighting strikes bug will de fixed or not.

Aging on or aging off?

A romantic getaway could lead to pregnancy.  If aging is on, do they spend the rest of their vacation with a screaming baby (since there's no guarantee this Seasons glitch will be fixed ... and if is, they'll probably break it again the L&P) who never ages into toddler, or even worse the sim doesn't even give birth, but stays pregnant for the duration of the holiday with rapidly-dropping needs ...  Or if aging is on, can the babies age to late teens without ever attending school?

I'm betting we won't get an ocean to go with our tropical island. Notice how the screenshot of sims tanning on beach towels conveniently shows no water at all, just sand. They'll withhold real islands to force us to buy Life Stories: Castaways.

I'm also betting we won't get anything that takes advantage of the weather we got in Seasons. Forget skiing. Forget snowboarding. Forget a mountain location where you can do anything aside from the camping already shown in the pictures.

Lastly, I'm betting the way you turn into Bigfoot is by getting mauled by a bear, which will be the stupidest thing ever, though not a bug per se.

that bug did get fixed in the (first) Seasons patch (they are still working on the second patch apparently)

Uni: YAs will not be sent back to Uni after vacation, but to the main hood -> game crashes, because there is no home to return to.

General: Sims will get a malus for not attending work, though there is *no* way to go to work from the vacation lots.

General: Items sims purchase / win / whatever will disappear from inventory as soon as they are back home.

OfB: Profit from owned vacation lots will be deducted from the family funds.

What about if you have pets? I'm sure there will be a lot of bugs dealing with pets. For example: You take Fifi the poodle along for the trip. You come back home and Fifi is gone.

I'm pretty sure pets will get stuck on vacation lots. Poor Fifi.  :-\

1. Babies and toddlers are not allowed to go on vacation, by design. However, when a sim calls to invite another household on vacation with them, the ankle-biters show up and are not interactable. Since no social worker can come to vacation lots, the buggers die. Could be good, could be bad. Could be a new way for the Oversoul to enforce population control.

2. Increased chance of food poisoning on vacation lots = more dead simmies.

3. The firepit has a small chance of igniting sims by design. However, they bork the probability and pretty much every sim that comes within five squares of it ignites.

Using new pagoda-style roof causes random lots sharing the same 'hood to somehow spawn pagoda-style roofs as well, like a plague.

Ninjas will be running around non-Asian hoods.
Boats and Van tours will disappear off screen and never return, but only under rare and certain circumstances.

Just thinking aloud here... 3 destinations = 3 new sub-hoods = triple the NPC/townie spam.

New NPC type(s) will be introduced with borked DNA. Your game will collapse in a BFBVFS if one of your simmies romances one of said NPCs and brings them back to their home hood.

You are forced to play your vacation in its entirety as the save outside your home hood facility will be broken resulting in loss of precious sims.

You leave the rugrats at home in the care of a nanny who promptly disappears as you're not at work. Return home to find nasty note from social worker and no rugrats. Social worker returns an hour later to claim any children that were on vacation with you.

Most vacation activities take place outside, which is likely to prove fatal in combination with Seasons weather. Tents will attract lightning like moths to a flame and will not provide any protection from the elements so expect lots of frozen/overheated sims.

And I'm betting they'll be extra creative in the method by which these NPC's will get dumped into your neighborhoods, meaning it will take me that much longer to figure it out and squash it.

Let's see, we have sub-hoods, stealth sub-hoods, occupied houses getting dumped in the bin... what next, EAxis, what next, I ask you?

AAARRRGHHH!!

If we're going for re-runs of bugs or "features" from The Sims: Vacation, my vote is for the UK version of the game having NO NAMES OR DESCRIPTIONS for more than half of the new included items. This was the joyous bug that those of us who bought The Sims: On Holiday got, until DaveH fixed it so our games used the US English names. It was semi-fixed by Unleashed, but not completely.

New transportation introduced to get Sims from home to holiday spot will conflict with owned vehicles or overlay maid vans or exterminator vans already at house.

Game will not properly handle pet/child vacation-taking.

Items purchased on holiday will bork OFB inventory for business owners.

Babies will start crying inconsolably again.

Relationships made with Sims in holiday hoods will cause Mystery Sim blank wants and fears once they return home.

Weather will borkinate on holiday lots, regardless of default setting, leading to non-winter seasons in winter hood, non-fall seasons in camping hood, and non-spring weather in Asian hood.

There will be more ugly non-fuctional decoratives like giant bear log statue, and fewer interesting decorative items like dragon rooftoppers. The latter will break when people attempt to add them to downloaded Asian-style houses.

Roofs will not keep out weather in holiday hoods.

Return of the blue flashing accessories, and EAxian accessories will overwrite CC accessories.

Job data will not be handled properly, leading to either bosses calling Sims' mobiles when on holiday to bitch about absenteeism, or Sims will have unearned promotions when they return.

If pets or Sims get pregnant on holiday, the child(ren) will be lost, or the pet / Sim will be stuck in permabump phase.

Holiday postcards, if any, will not arrive at selected Sim friend's home.

If the game crashes while in holiday hood, BFBVFS, Sims will become corrupt and unable to interact properly (that Sim is on holiday, you can't call them), Sims will be sent home to stand and stare vacantly next to mailbox, requiring player to re-send them, or Sims will vanish into the ether, never to return.

Aspirations will be borked. They will attempt to add asp wants for vaca to Pleasure Sims in particular, and that will be the only asp they will have.

Maids will start obsessively cleaning any souvenirs bought, and the fish tank fix will break.

New annoying vacation-related play/prank interactions will break fixes where pranks were tamed into being desired at reasonable times of day and a reasonable amount of time.

New wants introduced with new game will, by design, queuestomp all other wants into submission, leading to holiday wants for all Sims at all times.

Carpooling will break, because holiday transport will overwrite required files.

New non-Sim Sim characters to avoid intimacy with, such as holiday transport driver or mascots.

Dressers will reset to contain only items worn while on holiday.

Fishing on comm and holiday lots will phail in epic fashion.

Occult characters will experience holiday-related borkination. Vampires may suddenly lose dislike of sun, plant sims may suddenly be in asp failure at all times.

Nannies in household when family goes on vacation will come along with but be uncontrollable once at destination. When family returns home and needs to hire a nanny again, they will be refused because they supposedly already have one. Or, dead household members will be along for the ride, but not as ghosts, as they were before they died.

New crap to strew all over lot instead of placing on counters/tables or in trash, like uni assignments, homework, coffee cups.

Sim that dies on vacation will magically be alive when family returns home.

Attempting to do money-making things like novel-writing or painting will phail while on vacation, because it will be classed as a job. New skillbuilding items will add useless tokens (like pool table skill or dance skill) that

Wolves will show up on vacation lots, leading to conflicts if Sims attempt to werewolf themselves while traveling, because, for whatever reason, werewolves won't be able to holiday.

New food items will phail in some fashion: they won't be available as leftovers, they won't satisfy hunger properly, they won't be edible if put in inventory (if even possible), or it will work, and, once back home, Sims will attempt to use sushi kneeling position if eating inventoried sushi at non-Asian knee table, and game will flail and then crash to desktop.

Just a few guesses.

How about problems for us who don't have every expansion pack to date? I've heard those with Seasons but without Pets get the wolf noises at night. I'm willing to bet that the weather system on vaction lots will be so borked that those of us without Seasons won't be able to play them without some major fix - eg missing interactions, or the game assuming the weather stuff is there and tries to use it, but it isn't there. I can see lots of conflicts coming my way. Also, all the bugs that Pets and Seasons introduced will be "fixed" for those with those EPs, but introduced to those who don't - eg the crying baby thing. Eurgh.

Yes, I get to listen to the invisible werewolves howling in the night. Kind of neat, actually; the gothic atmosphere without the hairballs.

My vote: Weird bugs crop up when sims die on vacation. Another sim attempting to take the grave home in inventory will result in FUBARing of family trees, new inventory bugs, resurrection of old inventory bugs, portraits of Goopy Gilscarbo turning up in everybody's inventory and finally neighborhood implosion.  EA Games feigns ignorance, releases patch, recalls patch, re-releases patch and finally, prematurely releases Sims 3 to distract us all. Sims 3 is so bug-ridden it's unplayable.

Also, if you play the factory-canned families that are foisted off on users of the new expansion pack and one of them dies on vacation, your computer will melt.

Meanwhile, Pescado released his fix two days after the EP was released and it worked.

Also, clothes from previous EPs and stuff packs are overwritten by vacation stuff, which will be uniformly ugly.
New aspiration, if any, is as pointless as "Pleasure" asp.
One or more of the new wants will not be judged fulfilled and roll off properly after sims have performed it.
New LifeTimeWants won't fulfill properly.
Children who do silly things autonomously on vacation will be taken by Social Worker.
Social Worker gets stuck on vacation lots with taken children who have dropped out of the queue. Children and SW starve to death.
EP will feature new 'special creature', like the vampires, werewolves, etc.  The new special creature will have its own list of bugs and fail, some of them repeated from previous special creatures.

Maxis will add a new way to die that is specific to the EP, such as being eaten by a bear. You are only supposed to be able to die this way when actually on vacation.

When a Sim goes on vacation, he will die from one of the other reasons (hit by lightning, combustion, starvation, etc.) This will confuse the game because although the programmers were told to make this death available only to Sims on vacation, they didn't take into consideration that Sims would still be able to die from the usual causes. This puts the game into an endless loop of dying, then jumping back to alive status, then dying again.

If you manage to ctl>alt>del out of the game, on next reload, your Sim will still be on vacation and in the dying loop because of the new auto save feature that Maxis introduced. It is supposed to automatically save your game when a Sim has critical motives and are moments from death, but actually kicks in when the Sim is in the process of dying with Grim on the lot.

Meanwhile, back in the regular hood, a Sim will do something entirely innocent and non-dangerous such as viewing a new deco item and it will kill the Sim by the new death, which is not supposed to happen in the regular hood ever. This Sim will actually die rather than go through the loop, but the tombstone disappears immediately. Some Sims will remember the death, while others will still think that the Sim is alive and keep rolling wants to interact with them. When another family goes on vacation, the missing tombstones will be there and there will be no way to interact with them. Jump bugs happen whenever one of these ghosts try to go haunting because they are supposed to be haunting their home lot instead of the comm lot that their tombstones are actually on.

Saving leftovers while on vacation is silly, and Maxis will pat themselves on the back because they realized this and disabled leftover storage while on vacation. This however, was totally unnecessary as fridges can't be bought on vacation lots. This completely borks the leftover system already in place. Many leftovers will magically disappear. Later you play a newly moved-in family and find the missing leftovers in their fridge. This spawns new corrupted gossip spam that shows up in the memories of toddlers who have been given Smart Milk.

The programmers have also run out of new monsters to turn Sims into. So this EP's 'monster' will be a Yeti. If you get a high enough LTR with the Yeti while on vacation, you will have the option to bring it home with you. However, it will be more useless than a Servo and more hassle than a pet. It will randomly revert to its pre-adopted behavior of roaring to scare the tourists, much like Sims who used to be a cheerleader will revert to their cheering behavior even after your Sim marries one of them. The roaring will cause visitors to leave and parties to suddenly end because it causes such a huge bladder hit to Sims, who start peeing themselves and leaving the lot.

When the BBS sheep attempt to cross this new monster with one or more of the older ones (don't they always?), the layers will be applied in the wrong order so that they lose their fur and look like a drowned cat. Yetis will freeze easier than all other Sim types, making you wonder how it managed to live in those snowy mountains all those years before you adopted it. Yet they will hog the hot tub from your Sims almost continually, and show no ill affects. Although Yetis will have both genders, they will not be able to breed because each lot can only have one Yeti on it and breeding with visiting Yetis is not allowed. The pre-release screen shots will feature plenty of baby Yetis running happily around their Yeti parents.

Yetis won't be allowed on Uni lots, just like the Servos, so teens whose parents have died and left a Yeti in the house will not be allowed to go to college. Yeti's cannot be given up for adoption since they are neither pet nor Sim, and who would want to give up one of these lovable muppets anyway?  So once you get one, you won't be able to get rid of it without Inge's teleporter bush, which has also stopped working with this EP.

The pedophile furries will work as intended by Maxis, stalking your kids until they go insane from aspiration failure. If your Sim marries one of these, they will from time to time, put on their costumes and stalk their own children.

The firedancers will light themselves on fire far too easily -- and the reach of the firey baton will ensure that every object within three squares of that sim goes up in flame as well.  Sims running up to freak out over fire dancers who are on fire will be lit on fire as well, until every sim on the lot experiences flaming death.

Sims will perform the special interactions they learned while on vacation repeatedly and will jump when the action is canceled.
While sims are learning the lumber jack dance they will be trapped in the action and finally die.
Sims get trapped on the massage table and will die(a slow death if it improves any motives)
Puppies will have the yeti as a father.
The yeti will show up instead of wolves when a werewolf howls.
Th yeti is actually a type of sim, he will invite himself into your house and help himself.
The yeti will randomly show up to eat at buffets.
New NPCs will appear in areas they have no connection with. Lumberjacks will wander the Asian theme (even lumberjacks need a vacation) Ninjas will show up on your camping trip and hang out at the beach. 
New NPCs will produce errors when trying to interact with objects from other expansions.
New NPCs will not die properly. When electrocuted they will remain looking toasted the entire time on the lot and possibly every visit after. Flies will constantly swarm about them because they can not die from it. If a cow plant eats on they will both pop out of existence.
In the event that sims can actually swim in the ocean, they will swim through land or they will not be able to properly leave the water.
Pets will be broken when they try to interact with new objects. Such as trying to dig in the zen garden.
New objects will not work properly when used on any lot other then a vacation one.
Errors will occur when someone tries to sell vacation souvenirs or items on OFB shelves. 
YA will possibly not be able to vacation at all. If they can there will be issues with classes.
Toddlers will not be able to go on vacation. There will be an option to leave your child with a care facility while you are gone. The baby or toddler will disappear forever much like the gypsy potion bug.
Parents will keep rolling wants obsessing over the baby, toddler, child or sim that they did not bring on vacation with them.
New items will override old or custom items.


Beach items will be few but useless anyway as there is no actual beach. they will be pools with sand colored tiles around them.
Items that seemed to be the most desirable that are seen in the pictures will be mysteriously missing from the expansion
The items we see in the pictures will be everything we get in the pack.
Many items are not new items like they say but merely recolors of old items.

People will be pissy because "thats not the proper technique for Tai-chi"

When trying to initiate the Lumberjack Song interaction, one of two things will happen. If your game is set to English (US), the game will crash shortly before the line "I put on women's clothing and hang around in bars" to protect the children from any deviant behaviour that this line (and several subsequent ones) would encourage. If your game is set to anything other than this, the interaction will go ahead as normal, including a change of costume for the lead lumberjack. The lead lumberjack will then proceed to the nearest bar, and will try and flirt with anything with a female gender preference.

The game will forget which of the 3 "social dance activites" (Smustling, Tai Chi, and Lumberjacking) it is supposed to be doing at any given moment during one of these activites. Expect to see Thriller making it into Tai Chi lessons, woodcutting via meditation, and most people walking away from the Smustle after realizing what they're dancing to/singing along with.

I do wonder what the new "creature" sim will be. It would be cool if they make them Fox Spirits. As those are Asian mythical creatures and one of the getaways is "Eastern."

But that's probably too creative for them.

Maybe mermaids. Since there will be oceans.

Either way they'll be broken. The adult textures for the creatures will actually be the child textures and they'll be all stretched out and fubar. Or after the "transformation" a major appendenge doesn't switch over to the new texture.

There will NOT be oceans. That's the biggest L&P of it all. Having looked at the latest screenshots, I see nothing that we currently can't do ourselves by sticking a lot close to neighborhood water. It looks terrible.

A fox spirit would be awesome. Highly unlikely as it is something very awesome, I mean look at the choices.
    * Huli jing, a Chinese fox spirit known for causing mischief and seducing humans.
    * Kitsune, a Japanese fox spirit which can be either benevolent or mischievous.
    * Kumiho, an evil Korean fox over 1,000 years old, which seduces and kills human men.
Sounds good to me!
Mermaid is doubtful as the oceans aren't happening. Once more would be an awesome idea... (funny how both of these seduced men to their doom in folklore)
The yeti seems the most likely choice but if they make it brown I suggest the first mod made should be a color change.
I would also lean towards a "Creature from the black lagoon" type. We have vampires and werewolves, why not get the whole gang together? With a Makin Magic or such remake they could add in a Frankenstein's monster type, much like the one that was with the chemistry set.
Its probably some kind of weird Tiki idol thing ....

I also agree that EA is not nearly clever enough for the lumberjack song. Being nerds you know most of them know it. Seeing as its not easily recognizable to a good deal of people it will probably be skipped as not enough people would slap their backs for their genius.
My next modification suggestions is to replace anything that plays during the lumberjack dance with a instrumental version of "I'm a lumberjack"

Those things are pretty cool. Odds are 80% of the games players will have no idea what they are. The funniest bit about them is when they are depicted in anime as some kind of anthropomorphic character they have balls bigger then they are.

Also, one of those special items you can only get on vacation will turn out to be as deadly as the remote controlled car in Uni.

Any kind of pregnancy option during vacations will end up being scrapped due to inability to make it function.
In the event that the pregnancy can progress on the vacation lots the baby will be accidentally left or the Sims will not be able to leave at the end of the vacation because of the baby or toddler.
In the event that they can become pregnant on vacation lots the pregnancy will not be allowed to progress on the lot to prevent bug above.
If they do not allow the pregnancy to progress on the vacation lot there will be issues with it progressing even when they return home.
If they can manage to work the code so that bringing a baby or toddler to and from vacation works properly, the bug where visiting sims kidnap your baby will once again rear its head.

(Kidnapped babies added a bit of folklore to my medieval neighborhood. Fae were fond of that little trick)

Yeah, but those are one-time-use unless you are a sorceror*, so learning the skill properly behooves you.



*Memory fuzzy, I never was a D&D person and didn't hang with D&D people, but I did get really into the NWN franchise a couple years ago. Reminds me, I have to go finish NWN2. My first playthrough with a Divine Champ/Paladin failed, Fighter/Weapons Master was going better.

I predict this:

Maxis was a little "sensitive" TS2 came out, of TS1 bugs. There was almost no sickness in Base game, (anyone here remember losing a whole families to the f^%#&+ rodent disease?) even now sickness is being a pain to engineer. As time has gone on they have forgotten about these bugs, and now will overlook them completely. Introducing the long awaited EP -

Plague and Corruption!

There will be massive food poisoning. Food created on vacation lots will go bad quickly without any sign it has turned to the dark side, this will cause a diarrhea pandemic. Return of Montezuma Revenge! 

All templates for "Vacation" Hoods and the accompanying lots will be bugged beyond belief, any family that does go on vacation start a "garbage bug." It would start in their household when they came back from "Vacation" (oops! meant error hell), there would be something off or wrong, any member of the family that was not able to go on holiday, babies and pets, would no longer be members of the family, the family would have been reset to those who went on holiday only. These erros would only increase, eventually the lot would be unplayable. Also, any sims that the family had interacted with on their lot or another would catch some of the "transient garbage" [ahhh, the gift that keeps on giving, I love it when EA gives my game herpes!]. The sims who had interacted with the bugged lot would now have the bug, and so it would snowball, how appropriate, out of control.

Because the testers were busy gagging over botched graphics and awful clothing, they would have never have tested the fire dancers and the Asian roofs on the same lot. There will be the possibility of catching the roof on fire by the performance, this will be increased exponentially if there is a dragon deco on that roof. The fireman will not arrive, they live in the base neighborhood, and no one thought of enabling them on Vacation lots. Furthermore, since there is a fire on the roof how will it get put out? No one will be able to reach it, to extinguish it, this will case a low vacation score and lead to lame "desperation" like actions. Also sims returning from vacation will have reoccurring nightmares of the fire, children who have seen it may be haunted for life by the image of the fire dancer being consumed by flames.

Mascots will randomly come up to sims and hug them, but since there is not enough of a relationship score to support hugging, children will refuse and asp. will drop. EA forgot the code the runts to have the corosponding wants to ingeract with the mascots "take picture with Yeti." Mascots will moth around children and teens, enough to prevent the kid from moving.

The "take a picture" action will not have been coded correctly. The picture will botch sims inventories making them inaccessible, clicking on the inventory crashes the game.

All Vacation actions and Wants are all in one bundle, thus sims who visit a campground may want to see the ocean. Sims on the beach will roll wants to have a snow ball fight etc....

Also NPC will be partaking in said interactions, snow ball fights in the forest, looking for Yeti on the beach etc...

Staying at a hotel, the cost will be miscalculated. the code will look at all objects on the lot, not just the ones controllable sims have access to. You will be charged for all hotel rooms on the lot, not just the one you are using. Also taken into consideration will be the "big money items" like the massage table and other items that cue a fee.

On campground lots the hotel maids will arrive and "clean" the campground. This will including tiding the tent, which removes any items left in there, since it *appears* that multiple sims can share a tent for the night, [kinda like the carpool?] undoubtibly they will leave something in there, even if it is just a token that says that this is the tent that I slept in last night & should use again. The tent will reset after the maid has cleaned it, the family will have to claim it again or it will be taken by some other random family.

Fishing will defiantly not work as it should, sims will not be allowed to cook, since this is vacation no one thought of enabling that & a comm. lot was used to make the Vac. lots. No one will be able to grill their catch of the day [that one is gonna make me mad!].

Now for the other food. Some "smart" Maxiod decided to clone the cooks for Vac. off the dormitory cook. They will only serve lunch meat sandwiches, mac and cheese and other dorm food. Foret about a nice black tie dinner.

True that. I wish it did. My grammar is not always up to par and neither is my spelling or punctuation. None of it is the fault of the educators who did their best with me. Mostly my own mistakes and those inflicted by the random "brain fog". All i can do is trust to firefox for my spelling and beg forgiveness for the rest. :P

The separate vacation destinations may just be giant lots on one new hood. Which will look a bit stupid. They would probably try to pan it off on us as a themed vacation island.

In the event that it is in fact three new hoods separating the three destinations, you will send your family to one hood and the game will get confused and send you to one of the others if you have all three attached to one main hood. Much like what will come up if you send your sim to one uni while there are more then one attached.

  Don't forget the game decideing to spontaneously keep repawning all available npc's and excess townies until you got more than a dozen of each npc type or more...
  Old respawn hacks will need to be updated and redone because maxis was touching a useless piece of dead code that was useless before and didn't need to be touched, but since it was there they thought they would frack with it anyways...

That just creeped me out... werewolves are hairy, but only some of the time whereas yetis are yetis all the time. With that in mind, the yeti will spend half its time thinking it's a pet and acting accordingly. The rest of the time it will behave like a human. EAxis will have kittens every time they release a patch as it will enable sim-yeti woohoo, resulting in the almost immediate release of a follow on patch which, will of course break something else. It'll be like getting jiggy with an oversized Alf... yuck.

Of course sims will be able to woohoo with the yeti.  Every expansion so far has had a fuckable creature, including the robots from OFB.  Why would you think the yeti will be any different?  I'd worry more about what the offspring might look like.   :P

EDIT:  Therefore, my bug prediction is that 50% of all yeti/sim crossbreeds will cause borked pregnancies, as the yeti "skintone" will not include a baby skin color, or skins colors for any age group other than adults and elders.

Yes, I predicted the layer problem back when I predicted that the EP will have a Yeti.

The programmers have also run out of new monsters to turn Sims into. So this EP's 'monster' will be a Yeti...

When the BBS sheep attempt to cross this new monster with one or more of the older ones (don't they always?), the layers will be applied in the wrong order so that they lose their fur and look like a drowned cat.

Sims will be abductable by aliens while on vacation, but if the family goes home before they return, they will be MIA until some random moment when Dad finally gets dropped off carrying alien twins the day after Mom remarries.

Some enterprising soul will succeed in making an alien-vampire-zombie-werewolf-plantsim-servo-yeti, whereupon the game will suffer a catastrophic divide by zero error and the entire neighborhood will disappear in a black hole of illogic.

For those with the holiday stuffpack, Santa will inevitably show up on vacation and tie up the toilet, causing the family's vacation score to plummet.

Replacement CAS's made with BV installed will suffer not only from the plagues of interloping werewolves and freezing Sims-in-progress, but will also have ninjas skulking through to frighten the cameraman.

Haven't spotted these issues myself, but seen them reported on 4 different TS2 boards so far: food being served in a hotel room tends to vanish when it's placed on a plate already on the table. The sims are charged for the food, though.

I don't know if this counts, but assuming the L&P second seasons patch fixes the piano, I bet BV breaks it again.

I've also seen reports that food served in hotels only has 1/2 the food value, so sims have to eat twice as much to fill their hunger.

I sent my sims to the Flaming Dragon and the dining there was beyond bad. Every time my sim would order food, either some kid or my guest (in the pet selector) would always steal the plate. Nobody could actually *eat* anything in the restaurant. You either have to eat out at a bar somewhere or order food to be brought to your room.

Not sure if this is an EP bug or hack related (I doubt it, though: most of my hacks were taken out of the game at this point), but after I exited the game after taking a very pregnant Sim on vacation, when I returned to that lot later, the painting she was nearly finished had disappeared entirely and she suddenly appeared to have her first baby pop when she was already in her third trimester.

So much for hotel restaurants. My sims had been out for the day and came home rather hungry. I sent sim witch to the podium and had her 'be seated'. She sat down. The other six sims were left milling around. Say what? Each sim had to individually ask to be seated. Of course there weren't enough tables and all my sims were at a table on their own. Trepie nearly died of hunger until witch kindly gave up her lobster thermidor. My last 3 sims couldn't even get a table because some stupid vacation sims were taking them up. I ended up manually lifting all their bars so I didn't have a mass starvation death on vacation.

I presume it would work if I made a group, but that just seems ridiculous for a meal together.

I've now gone round and put a grill on every accommodation lot.

You know how Sims tend to halt all current actions and reset to having all motives except bladder at full (bladder being at half full) when you install a new EP or patch? Yeah. That's happening every time I close the game and re-enter a lot later on. >=(

Also: for some reason, whenever I have a Sim drink eggplant juice, they'll occasionally get the maxed skill icon above their head even though they haven't maxed a blasted thing.

You know how Sims tend to halt all current actions and reset to having all motives except bladder at full (bladder being at half full) when you install a new EP or patch? Yeah. That's happening every time I close the game and re-enter a lot later on. >=(

I believe the word you were searching for is "reset".  :)
The thing is that this isn't happening to anyone but you, and you are testing a number of hacks. This is not a Maxoid bug. In fact, I doubt that it is a bug at all. I bet after you close the game (or before you open it again the next time) you're updating your hacks. Some hacks will cause a reset when installed. If this is not the case then you probably have some sort of hack conflict. If it does turn out to be a conflict then I am sure that you already know how to find the cause, but if you need any help I'd be happy to offer it.

Food serving issues in hotels and restaurants.
Haven't spotted these issues myself, but seen them reported on 4 different TS2 boards so far: food being served in a hotel room tends to vanish when it's placed on a plate already on the table. The sims are charged for the food, though.

I've had that happening frequently in my uni/NL/OFB game.

I thought that happened if there was some sort of decorative object on the table. The outside seating at the Crypto whatever nightclub that came with NL has that problem.
