More Awesome Than You!

Hello!  I've searched for hours on various simsites to find out why this is happening.  I hope this isn't TMI, but here's what led up to this.  (However, I did learn where the infamous JM Pescado is now - smile.)

1.  I started a completely new neighborhood to play a Legacy challenge.  No hacks, no SimPE'ing, only moveobjects and the occasional boolprop snapobjectstogrid false.

2.  I waited until I had four members of the 2nd generation ready to go to college, plus moved in one NPC (Meadow) and two YA's I created with CAS, so 7 YA's moved into the large private house in the Sim State University neighborhood, which I had never played in before.  Then one Sim fell in love with an NPC, and she asked him to move in.

3.  I decided to make the house be a Greek house.  Everything went along fine, and several of the people in the house also joined the Secret Society.  In each case, I had the Sim stick around after graduation to max out as many skills as possible before they were forced to move back the the 'hood.  The taxi came and got each one just fine.

4.  Now the remaining Sim is the NPC that moved in with the group and became a playable Sim.  He's in his last semester of college, but he doesn't have the 'ask so-and-so to pledge' option - even Sims he's got a 100/100 friendship with.  He still 'visits campus'.  During the game the Sims kept bringing back more letters and I kept deleting them for $100 a pop - was this a mistake?  I had already put letters on the house, so I didn't want those letters.

5.  I tried opening a dorm house and playing one of the characters there to have them pledge the Greek house that the single guy is in.  Everything went along fine, they pledged (I did it twice) and used the phone to 'move to Greek house.'  However, they never show up at the Greek house.  When I go back into the dorm, both of those players show as still being in the dorm, but if I click on their avatar I don't find them.

So is my Greek house irretrievably corrupt, or is there a download that will fix it? 

Does anyone know what, if anything, I did to cause it?

Is there a way to reset JUST THAT LOT to the original vacant house without uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

I'd really hoped to have a permanent fraternity there that I could use, and I had it tricked out very nicely and spent a lot of time doing it. 

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.  I had a fraternity lot go bad before and had to uninstall/reinstall and I just really don't want to do that again.

Is the house a level 6? Do you have the level 6 frat fix installed? That's my first thought when reading this, but I may be off base.

Yes, true. The greek houses are extremely bugged in the game. The only thing I can recommend is getting all the greekhouse fixes from JM's armory. You might want to check and see TJ"s (VS) fixes too, but be careful they can be incompatible with each other. Other than that, I have no advise. If you have already done all this, pardon the redundancy. ;)

Hi Rooby.  In normal game play my sims only ever bring back a single Greek letter so I'm guessing you have a glitch going on there.  Unfortunately it is normal for sims to 'go missing' after moving to a Greek House.  It is advisable to play the Greek house and get the residents to ask someone to move in.  For a quick fix, play another house and add the missing sims to the family using boolProp.

*Edit* I would also suggest going to http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/hacks/ and getting a copy of amnesiafix.zip and fratfix.zip

Not having the 'ask so-and-so to pledge' option does concern me.  If it was the straight level 6 Greek House issue your sim should still be able to ask another sim to pledge.  Immediately the other sim will turn you down declaring you do not have enough friends but you should still be able to use that option.  Did you exit the lot after applying for a charter?  If you do not exit then re-enter the lot, the pledge option will not show.

The house was a level 4, so the level 6 issue wasn't the problem.

I installed the amnesia patch and a couple other Pescado fixes.

Now poor Alec has blank wants, still can't ask anyone to pledge, and the two new members don't show up in the house or at their old dorm.

I guess I'll let him graduate and see if he is 'normal' when he's back in the 'hood.

Did you back your neighbourhood up before things got this bad?  At least then, if you find a solution you can go back to the back up and fix that, then play it through again.

I just solved a problem I had, not directly related to Greek houses, but the fixes I used were recommended to me by Schmoopee, and they worked, or something did, and lluckily I was able to carry on playing _ but I used the Uni Timer to freeze the time while I got things right.This is where I got the fixes which I used:
