Title: Frame Rate.
Post by: lindaetterlee on 2007 April 25, 11:16:29
How do i find out my frame rate while in game? I've been noticing at certain sim times of the day/night the game crawls for a few moments. Usually somewhere around 12:30 am to 2 am. Not sure what could be a cause. This is with a avg lot. Not alot of content. No one preggers, no special sims(aliens, werewolves, etc.) Also with using visitor controler to zap any strays.

Any ideas.

If I remember correctly, that was about the time when the game does some calculations to check for werewolves and wolves/LOTPs to walkby, and generates LOTPs if needed. Maybe that's why: even if they don't show, as per visitors' hacks, the calculations is done anyway.

2 am is also both lights-out time for the outside lights as well as burglar probability time. I have a very fast machine that can handle settings to the max and a high amount of cc, but still get a very brief slowdown at 2:00 am, 10:00 am (if a maid is hired), and 8:00 pm in my neighborhood with a werewolf. For some reason Kitty likes to search for nibbles at 8:00.
