For some reason, My Sims, Even the shy ones. Only want to tell dirty jokes to one another. If there isn't a new Sim to tell one two, They may have normal wants. But so far 3 different Sims all have started their lives with the wants of "Kiss" "Meet new Sim" "Marry a rich Sim" and "Tell joke." After doing any these. They are replaced by "Tell dirty joke to *****" Wants for every Sim they know.They have these wants no matter Asp (I mean a Romance Sim wanting to marry?)  I've tried removing all hacks that I installed just before or since this started. and it did nothing. I haven't messed with the Wants file or anything. And I can't think of anything else to do. Oh ya, I only have the Base Game if that helps.

Typically doing things can cause wants to reroll, but the only ones I can think of are NL-related... other than sleeping or moving house

You can also force a wants reroll with the lot debugger, IIRC.

There is no version of the lot debugger that works with the original game; I believe it starts with NL.  In fact, there's not a whole lot of the FFS hacks that work with the original game only. Those that do can be found here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/samples/ffs/?dir=orig%2Fhacks%2F

But the problem is no matter how many times they reroll, They remain that SAME wants. >.<

How established is this neighborhood? Is it a new one, or one you've been playing for years?

One I've been playing for like ummm..... 2 maybe 3 months? Its still fairly young. but has a few Sims in it.

Have you tried deleting your groups.cache file? My sims kept getting stuck with the same LTWs all the time even though I had lots more choices, after deleting the file my sims started having more choices.  It's worth a try if you haven't.

The Group thing didn't help. T.T Is there away to find conflicts between mods? I have alot of custom content, and a few hacks. But I don't know if they have conflicts with one another. >>'

head over to www.simwardrobe.com and look in the programs area -- Paladin has a hack conflict detector that works pretty well and finds most conflicts.

I tried the "Find Hack conflicts" And got rid of the Conflicts. But still no change in the wants. T.T

I fixed it! *Is jumping for Joy.* I'm not sure what caused the problem. But! I removed the b"EA Games" Folder from "My documents" Reinstalled the game, And replaced the new "EA Games" file with the old one. Now my Wants are working normally again! Thank you all for your help. ^^' I just hope I didn't waste anyones time because of this.

Sounds like one of your game files got corrupted. Glad you managed to fix it.

Just curious, why have you decided to play base-game only? Have none of the features of any of the expansions appealed you?

I only had enough money to buy the base game. ^^' I Most likly won't have the money to buy any other Expansions for a few months.

What? Why? I can understanding preferring to buy the game- some people have an oversized dose of morality and can't bring themselves to pirate- but what did torrents ever do to you? The file type isn't illegal...

A Download that would normally take 1 hour for me to download, Takes about a month(Or more) to Download Torrent style. >.< I HATE THEM!

I agree that they are slow, but you can't really complain when it's free. *shrug*

You either pay, maintain your morals, but wait until you have the money to pay....or....you get them there, wait 10 years to download them, sully your morals a bit, and play now. It's up to you.

Note to my own morality: I paid for mine and would never pirate an actual charge-for-use game. Ones that have gone free to promote later games like Oddworld: Abe's Exodus, which I also had purchased when I was a little one but trashed years ago, fine. Booty-diving, fine, as to me paysites are clearly against Maxis/EA's EULA. However...you want to pirate it, that's your deal. I'm not calling the cops.

Ah, I hear that. I'm trying to get an entire season of GitS so I can go back and make heads or tails of plots that spanned multiple episodes, but it's going to take me a month at this rate, and I can't use anything but a browser at school anyway, so it's only evenings I can devote to it.

Actually, I used to use Torrents only for Subbed Anime shows. Now I don't use that file anymore, I always try to find direct downloads, Or go to Youtube to watch them. *nods.*

Youtube won't help with AMV making, though, and direct downloads are hard to come by sometimes
