Title: Exporting Sims Post by: SimulatedDork on 2007 April 06, 20:50:12 In SimPE, you can package in-game and CAS sims through the simsurgery feature of "export". Once your sim has been exported, it is saved to a seperate file. I am wondering if it is safe to delete an exported sim's original template by deleting 'hood it came from?
Note: I would delete the neighborhood first then create my sims in a new hood. Will the sims still be in CAS despite the deletion of the hood the clone - original? Title: Re: Exporting Sims Post by: Shivani on 2007 April 06, 20:52:19 Yes.
Title: Re: Exporting Sims Post by: maxon on 2007 April 06, 21:05:17 As Shivani says - yes. It is, however, also a good idea to reclone the clone with Bodyshop. There's a problem with straight clones from SimPE in that the file sizes are much, much larger than normal sim files. It would seem the cloning process includes some material in the file that doesn't need to be there. This sometimes results in the clone bahving oddly. If you clone again in Bodyshop and then delete the original clone file, you'll get a clean sim file to reimport into the game.
