Title: Nude skin as a nanny dress? Post by: TaWanda on 2007 April 05, 04:57:47 So has any body seen this before? Any ideas as to what might be causing it? A search here didn't turn up any results. All EPs, no stuffits, and no patch since NL.
I ripped out my download folder after I saw it the first time, but it is still happening. So far in at least 4 lots between Strangetown, Riverblossom, and a downtown hood. Pretty random, sometimes the nannies are naked and sometimes not. Sometimes a shower will fix it and sometimes not. Sometimes the nannies are already nude when the thumbnail shows them answering the call your sim placed, and even if they are dressed in the thumbnail they can still arrive on the lot nude. KInd of amusing, but weird. Runs screaming from the room. Title: Re: Nude skin as a nanny dress? Post by: Gwill on 2007 April 05, 09:30:09 I'd say one of the nanny dress textures (there are two, one red and one green) have been replaced with a completely black alpha channel some how, but I do not want to speculate as to how.
If you want it fixed, I suggest replacing your (program files)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Sims3D folder files. Or getting a replacement set. Title: Re: Nude skin as a nanny dress? I have a victorian replacement set I made myself (without permission) using one of Sussi's meshes and textures. Post by: floopyboo on 2007 April 05, 13:34:25 speaking of default replacements, i was fooling around with my hacks & had paladin's replacements in for a while (unthinkingly) earlier today. Now that I'm playing a normal hood without the requisite meshes, I've got npcs that look like your nannies.
Title: Re: Nude skin as a nanny dress? Post by: eevilcat on 2007 April 05, 15:47:56 I had a plantsim do that yesterday while producing a plantbaby. One moment they were wearing normal plantsim default clothes then just before the plantbaby appeared they switched to wearing an untextured dress that was a completely different mesh, but now I think about it, it looked suspiciously like the nanny dress mesh. I sent them to have a shower and they switched back to their normal clothes afterwards.
