Title: The best Dream Date is done at home!
Post by: gali on 2005 September 27, 21:33:27
I have two sims - Beau Broke and his CAS fiancee, living in a private house. Beau went on some dates, but it didn't work, in spite of the chemistry, and so did his fiancee.

One day I decided that Beau will ask his fiancee for a date, at home. It was hilarious! They even danced the new dance (don't remember it's name), and wanted to woohoo 3 times. The bar went up madly...:).

After that, I sent them to the Gym, to find some SS members. When they returned home, Rain, the fiancee, brought with her a bucket of red roses, gift for Beau. They both had the Dream Date memory.

Why bother and go out for a date?...:).

That's good to know, as most of my sims are married. Gotta love the "smustle". ;D

I agree. By far, the most "dream dates" my sims have had were at a home lot. The frat house at Sim State is beginning to look kind of silly with all of the bouqets of red roses about.  :P I may try a few community lot dates just for fun but dream dates at home are so much easier to manage.

Have you noticed how some wants keep re-rolling on dates?

I have two vampire sims that have the hots for each other. They each get a want to make-out with the other one. Then, one gets a woohoo want and the other gets a woohoo in car want. So, they woohoo in the car. They both re-roll a make-out want. So, they make-out. Then, they re-roll a woohoo in the car want. This keeps happening until the sun comes up at 7am. Forget viagra - become a vampire.

Of course, after dates like these, they keep giving each other fountains, wide screen TVs, expensive stereos.......

I agree, the best dream date is at home. I love the feature of getting expensive gifts. You can sleep around to pay for that expensive television  ;) Romance sims are set!

I have had a ridiculous amount of woohoo rolls on at-home dates, while this phenomenon has only appeared once on a community lot date.  I still prefer the community lots, if only because it's slightly easier for my romance sims to run and hide on those.

Good thinking............

I've decided my Sims can have dates in the privacy of their own home without worrying about being slapped around by other jealous lovers.

Just beware of any 'romantic' interactions outside of the house though.........ouch!! :P

If lucky at home you can get 4 woo hoo desires at once.

Make sure your lot has a car, bed, photo booth, and hot tub.

I almost always get woo hoo and woo hoo in car, and a good amount of time one of the other locations.

Lock 2 of them, go woo hoo in the hot tub, then whenever you need a quick pick me up just woo hoo somewhere else until you need to have another date.

If you are really lucky with 2 skill maxed out sims living together you can often get a woo hoo in car/Woo hoo Makeout/Kiss loop going. Then you can just cycle make out and woo hoo until thier needs make them get out of the car or the date ends. Thats some major fast asp points.

Dates at home can be hazardous too, unless what happened to me was a coincidence.  I had a Sim buy a date from the Matchmaker and just after it started, he got a call from one of his fellow Romance Sim lovers inviting him Downtown.  When he refused, she appeared out of nowhere and slapped him silly.

Updated phone hack?  There is one?  I keep seeing 0/0 on the main page under The Firing Range heading, yet there are updates floating around.  I am very confused.

I can't figure out why my married family sims can't woohoo in thier minivan sometimes.  Sometimes they can and sometimes they can't.  They wanted to woohoo in the car on one of their dates and the option wasn't there.  So I let them woohoo in the photo booth.  When they got home, the option was there again.  Another couple, a family and knowledge sim, bought a minivan and they weren't able to woohoo in it.  Is it a bug with the minivan?

I had a couple of sims have a dream date on a community lot and they got several woohoo wants. They kept rolling the flirt, kiss, makeout, woohoo loop. It was at a restaurant so the only thing they could use to woohoo was the photo booth, but that sure didn't prevent the wants from popping up. I had them go at it 4 times. Actually I could have done more, but I figured after that and since the meter was already at the very top, they needed a rest. ;)

I get the same problem Rainbow. In the ute and the hatchback. I just keep clicking on my sim and eventually the option to WooHoo comes up. Dam annoying. Sometimes the sim to be 'woohooed with' gets impatient and leaves. Bugger when that happens and the date clock is ticking.

Yeah, I've had the same problem with the sports car.

I've had a problem when I "ask to join" in the car and the date gets in before (and sometimes at the same time as) my sim. When I click on the car, there aren't any social interaction options except "ask x to get out of the car". I have noticed that if you ask the date to get out of the car and then ask them again to join, then you get the kiss / makeout/ woohoo options. Now, I tell my sim to "sit in vehicle" and let the date follow my sim like a dumb ass over to the driver's side of the car. Once my sim is in the car, then I "ask to join".  I haven't had a problem with the social interactions not showing up when I do it this way.

If you'll note on my "honey the magic is gone" thread, I'm having a problem with woohoo in the car too.  I used the minivan... a family and knowledge sim couple (me and my hubby).  There were no social interactions at all no matter how I had them get in the car.  I had one get in first and told the other to "sit in vehicle".  I told one to get in first and then "ask to join".  Nada.  No matter what combo I tried, the interactions did not show up on the community lot.  At home in the driveway, though, they did just fine.

Hm, I know romance Sims don't like the minivan, but a family and a knowledge Sim?  Maybe they just refuse to be caught woohooing in a minivan in public. :D

I had the same problem the other night.

I have the most expensive car (don't remember it's name - 11,500$). Perhaps they want this car and not minivan?...:).
Sorry, but I never woohooed my sims in a car, only in bed and hot tub, and that was enough for them. I just followed the wishes, and never saw a wish to woohoo in a car...:).

I get that wish when the couple have babys or toddlers. With someone else looking after the little ones maybe they can only relax in the car. I know that in one of my families the child walked in when the parents were otherwise engaged. All woohoo stopped immediadetly, dad gave the child  a lecture and sent the child packing. I hadn't seen that before.

I actually find community dates easy as I didnt want to go home and work all night and day at home for a date!

Or maybe they are really shy? I don't have NL yet, but maybe Personality has a bearing on what woohoo actions are possible?
