Title: Moving sims from one neighbourhood to another
Post by: Ellie on 2007 March 17, 07:15:21
(I tried searching but didn't find anything very useful.)

So is it bad to move sims with a lot from one neighbourhood to another?
And if it's bad, will it screw up both neighbourhoods or just the one the sims are moved to?

The more technical details can be explained by someone more awesome than I, but it is a VBT... unless you completely purge said Sim of all friendships, contacts, memories, family tree, and pretty much anything linking him/her to the neighborhood. It is so much effort, you might as well just use Sim Surgery on SimPE. (I haven't used it myself, but it is a common suggestion.)

EDIT: Here's a tutorial on how you can use SimPE to clone Sims. (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=94489) I gave it a quick test, and it seems to work well.

Just the one the Sims are moved to.  But I agree with Diala, it's really a bad idea.

No it's bad for the neigbourhood as well.  You get a lot of dead and useless character files clogging the place.
Don't do it.
