Title: God I need that pillow fight hack...
Post by: AllenABQ on 2005 September 26, 16:29:35
Whenever I'm in a downtown club, store, park, whatever, if the game randomly puts two other sims there that are a couple and they start socializing they almost ALWAYS get around to starting a pillow fight!

Seriously, this has happened like five or six times now.

The latest was a trip to that Trap Door Corp place.  My sim was just taking a leisurely jaunt through some lesser visited lots.  He stopped, bought some cologne and a lot of sims began showing up.  Two were an elderly couple from the neighborhood.  And they start running around the store hitting each other with pillows.

AAAARRRRRRRGH!!!!

I like to see the pillow fight, and sometimes I even order my sims to do it - it has very comic animation...:).

Yeah, but, pillow fighting in the street, pillow fighting in the kitchen, pillow fighting every chance they get a free moment (and where do they GET the pillows from anyway?)  The only thing worse than Sims' obsession with pillow fighting, is their obsession with kicky bag.  I still have Twojeff's no kicky bag indoors hack in, even though it in Nightlife it disables kicky bag completely.  I can live with that. :)  I begrudingly took noroadpillows out when I found out it messes something up (though I at the moment I don't remember what.)

Noooooooo it's annoying! And the way these sims can pull pillows out of their asses is frightening. Gali, you are the most patient person I "know".

edit to add: posted at the same time as you, pearlbh. I left the no kicky bag indoors, as well. Can't say I miss it, with it being disabled completely.

Is there a pillowfight hack and is it compatible with NL?

I'm interested in it too.

I think it's just been updated. Worth quitting my game to download, I'd say.

Cool. Care to tell me where it is because I can't find it? :)

I searched the directory (under free samples) at the initial maty.com site but didn't see anything.

Maybe I'm blind.

Yes, it's been updated for Nightlife!  Now if we could just get the nobabyharassment hack back - the obsessive toddler bathing has started again.   :(

I haven't actually looked for it, yet. Just noticed it was in the "updated" section of Dr.Boris' thread.
Looking now...

Woohoo!!

Now if only we could get the no jealousy hack up and running again. My pleasure Sim's getting a little dizzy from being slapped silly every time he goes Downtown  :)

I can only imagine what happens to romance sims!

I think it's kind of silly that sims with a simple crush will go ballistic if they so much as see a sim on a date with another person - they don't even have to have done anything romantic yet!

*sigh*

in the middle of upgrading to XP, which is not going well, so it's been over 36 hours since I last simmed...    :'(

Agreed.  Who has ever had a crush after a date and not felt dismay when you saw the person out with someone else even though there was no implied commitment when your date ended?  I could certainly see reactions that involve losing some points off of relationships and maybe negative points toward the other person your crush was on a date with.  But I would think this would be limited, certainly not something that ends up in a slap-fest.

I mean, really. The second the poor guy steps out of the car, slapslapslapslapslap! Which reminds me. I also am really missing that nocrybabies hack, too.

I guess my confusion stems from the word Crush. In my head, a crush is when you like someone and they usually have no idea.

Therefore, if you have a crush on someone and see them out with someone else, you may feel sad but certainly shouldn't be angry with them, as they may not feel the same way and are probably not even aware of it.

Or is that just me?

That's how I always defined "crush". Unrequited love. I'm trying to picture myself going up to a guy I had a crush on in high school and slapping him when I saw him with another girl. No way! If I was too shy to let him know I liked him, there's no way I'm going up to him and slapping him! That would be a dead give-away that I liked him, I would think. And usually mutual crushes were two people that liked each other but didn't know the other felt the same way. Still, there'd be no slapping. Crying into your pillow, maybe...

I wish the sims used the same definition I do.
