Title: Dammit, Malcolm, FOCUS!
Post by: Assmitten on 2007 March 09, 14:30:40
I am using Malcolm Landgraab as a playable, and just did propose>move in with him. Now his tasks are interrupted constantly by "go here." It even stomps macrotastics and I didn't think anything could do that, even nuclear war. He doesn't need anything, or want anything. He follows his girlfriend sometimes, but mostly he'll just wander off to some random place.

Background: my sim invited him over as part of her group of friends (groups>invite>just for fun), and then she asked him to move in, and then he proposed to her. He started acting up shortly after that. No other sims on the lot are doing this.

Help?

Did you end the group?  He may still think he's part of her group.

Damn. I wondered about that. Someone who was part of someone else's group moved in that night too, and he said goodbye to everyone. I wonder if that was part of the problem. He does seem to be following her a bit.

I will see if I can fix that. Thanks, Rainbow.

Okay, moved in, engaged, and still in her group. You suck, Malcolm.

Well, problem solved. Thank ye Rainbow.

I am going to sound like Ye Old Curmudgeon here and say, "There's getting to be too many darn menus."

I had the same problem, only it was with the girl I had move in with Malcolm.  She kept wanting to "go here."

I agree, the menus are getting too cluttered.  Did you ever play Sims 1?  Do you remember clicking on your sim and it said "no actions available?"  :P

I vaguely remember that. It was all about the interacting with other objects/people. Sometimes I get lost in the menus when I'm playing and I'm tired, and all of the sudden everyone on the lot has purple peens that are outside their clothes. Whoops!  :-[

Sometimes I wish I could keep my 4,000 hack menus that make me so happy, and get rid of things I never use, like "primp."

Good thing I read this. I have not one but THREE sims suffering from this, and I could not figure out what's wrong with them! I figured it was a Seasons annoyance, or something.  ::)

Clearly, the Primp fix is not for you. There's a reason we classified that one as Blue instead of Yellow: While technically a real bug, primping ain't really useful. :P

Is it a bug or a feature? ::) It probably doesn't affect the Diva though.  She probably still primps autonomously since that's part of her coding.  I haven't seen her in a while to know though.
