Title: Needing flowers? Help finding a link
Post by: lindaetterlee on 2007 February 01, 01:03:16
I lost all my bookmarks and i need to find some flowers i once used. They came from this german/dutch website. Wier something another. They aren't maxis typical flowers. They are stand alone and look more realistic. If anyone can help me with a link I would greatly appreciate it.

I lost all my bookmarks

(because I feel like being a show-off today)
Sniff, I just managed to lose my complete Sims 2 folder, due to some sitting-behind-the-pc-waaaay-too-long. Now I'm going to have to redownload all my hacks again  :'( I'm not even going to bother getting all my other CC back.

Sorry I couldn't help you, I just needed an excuse to vent my frustration

Thanks, but I've just decided never to play sims again. I had reinstalled my game, redownloaded my favorite hacks, started up my game, and poof! my computer crashes, 3 times in a row. I've had enough of EA, from now on I'll stick to visiting MATY and playing Guild Wars.

Thos are great but not what i was talking about. These are like single flowers that you can place anywhere also full flower squares that don't have the green grass stuff under them.

MarinaSims2 has similar items, as well as planters to put them in.

Persimmon Grove. *sigh*

*ahem*That's an ex-pat New Zealander wot does Persimmon Grove.  8)

I built some lovely kiwi villas with the stuff from that site. Lifestyle blocks were perfect for Persimmon stuff too. (Lifestyle blocks are tiny farms for rich people to play with at weekends).

Persimmon Grove is one of the few things froms Sims that I still miss. Is it archived anywhere?

On the subject of plants , Parsimonious (http://www.parsimonious.org/furniture2/outdoors) has some nice indivual flowers that are great for a wildflower or cottage type garden. An added bonus is that they don't need watering.

Seems to be only the first page (http://meanreds.com/persimmongrove/index.html). It's not as nice as before either. S/he said, when I emailed to say thank you, that s/he'd been away from NZ for about 18 years and asked me if s/he'd remembered it right. S/he sure had, beautiful content. S/he lives somewhere in the Mediterranean now.

Persimmon Grove ran into bandwidth problems and had to move (see below) It's here now
http://www.persimmongrove.org/

"In April 2006 new (lower) bandwidth limits were imposed on Persimmon Grove.

When the owner of Coconut Hut heard of Persimmon Grove's impending doom, she immediately arranged for
the entire site to be hosted elsewhere, so it could continue to be used as a resource for The Sims 1 community.
I am delighted that this was made possible, and very grateful to Shadowmistress for her generosity.

I give permission for all Persimmon Grove objects to be cloned — an acknowledgement would still be nice!

Thank you, that was a lovely trip down memory lane. I haven't really got into plants in the same way in sims 2, they just seem two dimensional after Persimmon Grove.
