Title: Macro ->socialise stuck - repeating gossip endlessly
Post by: Kyna on 2007 January 25, 05:06:06
Macro ->socialise seems to be getting stuck on repeating "gossip" endlessly.  It's not trying other interactions, just gossip, from about 30 rel onwards.  This means I'm getting lousy 1-rel boosts for every interaction.

I thought at first that it was because this was a new 'hood (reverse-gender PV) and nobody could bust-a-move.  However, I'm currently in the Caliente household.  Both Nino and Dino have learnt to dance.  Nino was just trying to befriend a 2 bolt downtownie, and the option to BAM was in the pie-menu when I clicked on the downtownie, but macro -> socialise wasn't using it ... just the endless gossips.

I updated my hacks from the DC earlier today, so it's not that I don't have the latest version.

Anyone got any pointers where to look to find what's breaking my socialise macro?  Only a handful of my hacks are NOT from this site, and none of the non-awesome hacks affect socials.

I don't have any answers but I am glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem. Mine alternates between an endless "gossip" loop, "give friendly hug" or "admire."

I did find if I cancelled the interaction but left the macro, they would move onto something else (only to become looped in the next interaction endlessly), which is kind of pointless of having "macro" since I don't want to have to keep monitoring/directing their socials.

I am having this happen on both my work computer and home computer, in 2 different 'hoods, so I am reasonably sure it's not just a case of one hood being buggered.

This issue is being investigated. Usually this seems to happen inside a deadlock case of not being able to find a good action to choose.
