I have no interest in playing him but I din't want to delete him because I thought the kid would have no memory of his old man. Is that true?

The Lot Sync Timer provides a method of simply fastforwarding through the lives of boring families while retaining sync, so you don't actually have to play them to elapse a given day on that lot.
