Title: Hey Pescado, Your footstep tutorial - how can you make new sounds? Post by: porkypine on 2007 January 03, 22:31:50 Hi Pescado, Over at MTS2 you had a short tutorial on how to make the footfall noises to match the new shoe types. that's fantastic info for me because I didn't know how to do that and needed to know how to fix that. Is it possible to create new sounds like bells, etc. and if so, how do you add that sound to the game and match it up to the footstep?
What I'm doing is modifying clothing meshes from Maxis parts - changing boots to moccasins but I want to add bell and turtle rattle sounds instead of boot clunks when some of the meshes walk. You can see what we are doing if you go to the MTS2 project section and look at the N8ive Sims Turtle Island project. I'm just learning how to mesh and need to learn how to do animations for some of the mesh parts. Our stuff is not published yet because it's still in development. Help appreciated. :0).
