Title: "The Sims 2 is already running!" Post by: Fish Dude on 2006 December 30, 14:34:54 Recently i have been sorting my downloads, to find a problem which has been crashing my game. Anyway, when i quit the game, i would try and move my downloads folder to the desktop or seperate folders, but i get an error message saying "This file is being used by another person or program." and if i try and start the game again, it says "The Sims 2 is already running."
I think i saw this problem before but i couldn't find it. Title: Re: "The Sims 2 is already running!" Post by: Karen on 2006 December 30, 14:40:55 You have to make sure that the game is no longer running. Even after you quit the game, it may take a while for the program to stop running. To make sure, bring up Task Manager (press Ctrl-Alt-Del) and click on the tab labeled Processes. Look through the whole list until you find one with an "Image Name" of Sims2xxx.exe, for example, Pets is Sims2EP4.exe. If it's there, the game is still running and you have to wait until it disappears from the list before you can do anything with your downloads folder.
Hope this helps. Title: Re: "The Sims 2 is already running!" Post by: jrd on 2006 December 31, 15:03:02 Ugh, who let the RL-er out?
