Do you have a back up of the deleted neighborhood?I always do a complete neighborhood folder back up of the hood I play. that way if I have to delete the original for any reason I can use my back up and restore the neighborhood .  otherwise as Jordi says there is no way to retreive a deleted neighborhood

I've accidently deleted neighborhoods by not paying attention and being a moron. They should have that -moron proof- form of deleting stuff.

Delete? "Yes no"
Are you sure? "Yes no"
Are you -really- sure? "Yes no"
really DELETE This? "Yes no"

*Click*

.... AW SHIT! NOT AGAIN!

I hate "foolproof" deleting. People will delete it anyway, and it just obstructs me when I want to commit mass deletion.

I hate it cuz it makes me feel like the programmers think I'm an idiot.

"Are you sure?" "Are you _really_ sure?" "This will make things _go away_"
Yes! When I clicked the big button that says "delete" I _really_ understood that deletes things :p

Even if I am an idiot, I don't want my nose rubbed in it. And, as you said, it won't help if I'm being stupid anyways.

There's a lesson here. Annoying, superfluous dialogs only cause most users to habitually ignore them. Coders should concentrate on eliminating all but the most important ones.

In a new neighborhood, you get about 5 or 6 annoying, superfluous dialogs before you even start to play it.

Is it safe to delete a neighborhood? I've heard it's bad to delete sims, so I'm wondering if the same goes for neighborhoods.

Deleting a neighborhood will cause it to be destroyed in a Big Fiery Ball Visible From Space.

...since this is kind of the entire point, it cannot really be said that this is a bad thing.
