Title: Another hack question
Post by: KellyQ on 2005 September 21, 14:26:37
A couple of months ago I downloaded a hack that enables children to serve meals/make meals for themselves. I think it was by dizzy but I'm not absolutely sure. I removed all of my hacks before I installed NL but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of this particular hack. Does anyone know the one I'm referring to and if it is compatible with NL? I really miss this one!

dizzy2's 'smart serve'. Get the Nightlife-compatible version 2f from varioussimmers.net

Thank you Jordi. I kept looking at the smartserve.package in my hacks folder and thinking it was one that one (I should not delete the RTFMs). ;D

I really hate how they limited kids from making almost any food. What kid can't make cereal?  ::)

My sim-kids live on muffins.  Parents are too busy doing other stuff to make food for them.  Come to think of it, my sim-parents rarely interact with their kids ...  :-\

They might hurt themselves with a spoon. :D
But that's true... any food that doesn't involve using an oven a kid should be able to make or at least use a microwave.

I totally agree. Most kids from the age of 5 or so can make a bowl of cereal or a sandwich. By the time I was ten I was cooking mac & cheese and hot dogs (without a microwave..we didn't have those in the '70s ;D). It's silly that in this day and age to think a kid wouldn't be able to not only prepare cold foods but a few microwavable ones too (tv dinner anyone?).
