Stop looking at it. Downloads go slower when you watch them.

Still, PMBD is really slow downloading. I downloaded another file from a different website and that didnt take long.

Use a download manager like Flashget. You can also have simultaneous downloads going at the same time, and it allows you to grab all the zips or rars off a page. Very good for PMBD.

Firefox seems to run and download faster... I could just be imagining that though. :)

Nah, I use the fox and I just tried to DL that file, took right at one minute with DSL lite. Never had a prob with slow downloads at PMBD.

It's free. Quit you whining, and go clean the toilet while you wait.

People keep suggesting FlashGet but whenever I try to use the thing it says you need an external download manager while DownThemAll doesn't.  The capabilities are similar, but I don't get why people don't recommend DTA instead.  Ah well.

As for the slow download, I'm thinking it could be something with a lot of people downloading crap from MATY and PMBD at the same time.  It'll probably download faster later when there's less people bombarding those sites.

I use File Download Manager  and it works great and is totally free,I have dial up since DSL isn't available where I live :P it speeds up Downloads considerably

MSIE is often slower than real browsers when downloading, as it a) does not begin a download until OK is clicked, and b) saves everything first to its cache, and afterwards copies this to the real location.

It is sometimes faster because it skips critical steps in the TCP ACK, and thse malformed transmissions will be accepted by MS (IIS) servers.

On the topic of flashget/flashgot...because I know a fair bit about the program and extension...

Flashgot is an EXTENSION for firefox that lets you use Flashget (and other popular dl managers) - Flashget works with IE, Flashgot, the extension, makes it work inside of Firefox. Although you can still use Flashget without dling the extension, it just works better with the extension.

So if you are running Firefox, you first need Flashget (http://www.amazesoft.com/download.htm) (or some other dlmanager but I can only recommend only Flashget), then you need to install the extension Flashgot (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/220/) for Firefox to utilize it seamlessly.

Exactly. Either play nice or be productive. And isn't there a pirate forum to do the whining in if you must whine?
