The Problem:

My sim, Alexis, is in the Show Business Career, however the Limo refuses to pick her up and take her to work. So, in order to get her out of my hair I had her call the Limo to "Go Somewhere." Well, she went...and now she won't come back. She's been gone for 4 days and no matter what I do I can't get the Limo to bring her back! I exited the queue, but that didn't work. Is there anything I can do?
I am really against moving them out of the house and if that's the only way, well then I guess she'll just have to be gone...forever.

That's these show biz sims, can't rely on them. She's probably on a 10 day bender with Paris Hilsim, flashing her lady garden and snorting coke off a toilet floor. Give it a few more days.  :P

Is there a retrieve missing sim option on the lot debugger?

uhm, how exactly did you call up the limo? is it via some hack or is there a normal way to do that? if its a hack or somethign then that might be a side effect because a while ago i had a hack sorta like that and i lost my whole family :/

That doesn't sound like normal game behavior to me.  I don't have any options like that on the phone that I remember, and if you call a taxi to go somewhere, you usually choose where to go and leave the lot with them.  Since you were already having problems with the carpool showing up to take her to work, I think something was already borked.  You may have a portal problem or a hack conflict.  But do try to use the lot debugger option to "Retrieve Missing Sim."  An alternative would be to enable testingcheats, then shift-click the mailbox and choose "Teleport here."

Well, in the phone book when I chose Transportation it had an option to go "Home" and it had a picture of a limo. I clicked on it and it said that the limo would arrive in a bit to pick up my sim. The limo came, Alexis got inside, and it took her to "Go Somewhere." I assumed it was like the "Take a Spin" option. The thing is that I left the lot and came back hoping my sim would be there. After a few sim seconds, the limo came to drop her off, but she never got out of the limo. The limo then left with Alexis still inside. I have tried the Lot Debugger and it didn't work. I really can't think of any hacks I might have downloaded that would cause this. I could have sworn the "Home" option was a new feature for Show Business career.  :-\

That sounds like when your visiting a secret society and your going home. How it got on a residential lot i dont know though.  ???

I'd open up the 'hood with SimPE and see where Alexis thinks she lives.

You'll probably have to use one of the cheats above to get her home tho.

Did you ever use the cheat on this lot to change the zoning?  It sounds like something I saw once when I playing around and changed the zoning on a Secret Society lot to residential.  I was having trouble with the Secret Society lot, and I couldn't get into it from Build mode.  I tried changing the zonining, I think to residential, thinking that I could make it visible on the neighborhood map.  It didn't work.  :P  I had backed up my game before trying it, so I just restored my backup.  Messing around with changing zones to SS or from SS while in Live mode is a VBT™.

And if all else fails, you can usually move them off the lot and then back in.

As you can see she came back, but she was stuck in a sitting position smack in front of the mailbox. Now I had a new problem, my sims could not pay the bills. So I, the "genius" that I am, used moveobjects to move her away from the mailbox. She was now stuck in a sitting poition somewhere else (she would occasionally move her head, btw). Then, I remembered I had a nifty tool called the Stuck Object Remover. Bing Bing Bing! I used it where she was thinking it would work. When I got back into play mode I got a message...

"Alexis has been burninated!"  :o

Yeah, she was gone. I unknowingly "burninated" Alexis.  :-\
My new question:

Is there any way I can get her back from this "burninated" state? Or should I just forget about her and move on?

Try saving the lot and going back into it.  Usually when you delete a sim that lives on the lot, they get reset and appear standing by the mailbox the next time you go into the lot.

Make sure they aren't a single parent with children first, though.  :P

When you -burn- a sim; they aren't deleted from the game. Just save and come back and they will be sitting beside the mailbox with default motives.

Yep, that's where I saw it too. I think they were referring to Britney Spears and her knickerless antics of late, flashing her Lady Garden for all to see! 

They sure were, they couldn't seem to leave the topic alone. 

I love those mags, if the young, beautiful, rich and famous can fuck things up so royally, hell, it makes my life just a little more bearable and provides me with entertainment to boot.  ::)

It worked! I loaded the house and lo and behold there she was!  ;D Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all of your help!

Only if she tries to snort coke off the toilet seats at home...
