More Awesome Than You!

It's Rose's pay hair #50: pretty, but it suffers from horrible clipping issues because Rose evidently couldn't take the time to see how it actually works in the game.  I like it enough that I pulled out all the MilkShape tutorials I had stashed away and added in the the newest plug-ins to get it working properly.  The hair is (still) not animated, but it bends pretty smoothly in the back at least; the hair bits in the front still don't work as nicely as I think a pay mesh should, but at least they don't clip into the chest as much.   :P  This package replaces Rose's, so copy her original file somewhere before installing this in case you hate my version.  You'll still need Rose's original files for the textures, which aren't included -- I'm sure everyone here knows where to find them.   ;D

Edit:  This will still clip through hoodies and thick jackets because the hair is very close to the back.

I was dreaming someone would that to some of rose's and peggy's hair. Do you plan on doing some others ? Thanks a lot.

This is a vast improvement, to be sure, but I still find the hair ghastly. Am I the only one who thinks that most of Rose's hairs (and Peggy's for that matter) are fugly?

Uploaded fixed version. Now the pirate version is better than the real Rose version! F'naa!

Nah, probably not.  If I was a sim I'd have only 2 active points -- I can't be bothered to do much unless I feel motivated for some reason.  I only edit stuff that I want in my personal game.

most stuff on paysites is shit. The best hair meshes around are Seomi's, if you ask me, and they're free, albeit they take a while to download (the server isn't very swift)

Goddammit! I googled Seomi, ended up on XM Sims and now have a whole new bunch of hair.  ::)

I definitely think that Rose and Peggy's hair are not worth the money they charge, BY FAR. But, they do have some neat hair meshes and styles.

OK, so I downloaded new hair. Heaps of it, then I thought I really must give my downloads a good cleanout. So I deleted most of my eyes and my custom sims all reverted to Maxis eyes. Oh yeah, that's right. So I spent the afternoon creating sims, copying DNA, performing sim surgery...

This sims stuff is bloody hard work!  :D

Now can you fix the one that gives girls beards that stick through their face? It is one of roses' ponytail meshes.

Scared me senseless when my sims got a black heart thought bubble about a cashier and the portrait in the icon had the beard!

Well, I downloaded it and stuck it in my game, but I haven't been able to replicate the error.  I'm not willing to make blind edits, so.... sorry.    :( 

No problem. It took awhile for me to get it too. Although last night it was doing it in CAS.

It's like when your rotating the camera, the face disappears and the hair in the back takes precendence. It's very strange looking.

Thanks; this is great.  I can't imagine how angry I'd be if I paid $2.50 and got the before version.  Sheesh.
