More Awesome Than You!

I know of the hak to limit kicky bag to outdoors, and the hak that pillowfights must happen in a room that has a bed in it and the target, but are there haks to prevent such things from occuring at all unless the Sims are directed to do so?

I'd also love the ability to do without the pranks altogether.

I have Uni, not NL installed.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm giving this a major, 4 months ago, bump, cuz I want the same thing.

I believe Targa (http://www5.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=168777) has done those exact hacks over at MTS2.

No idea if they've been made compatible with Nightlife.

Funnily enough, even though I have the no indoors kicky bag, I rarely notice an attempt to play it now, same with pillow fights, usually only happens if they get up in the morning with no urgent needs and, why not, if they don't need to do anything urgently?  And pranking has got decidedly less, dunno why!  Of course, in Uni I do ban all the Uni NPCs!

Well well interesting how this comes up yet again ;)  And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one wanting this!

hehehe I do have NL finally too.

The only problem with Targa's haks is that you can't direct them to do it either.  I want them to play occassionally when directed, not autonomously. So they wouldn't work for me.

Pranks I'd like the same way.  Take out the autonomy but leave the option to direct them to do it.

Guess I'll just keep hoping and wishing!

I tend to get the autonomous pillow fights right when I first enter a lot with new Sims.  Of course, the pillows being fish make it a little more bearable.  :D

I think it's rather nice to see it occasionally - mostly I get it between very devoted, fun-loving couples!

Sorry to butt in like this, but does anyone know if there's a mod available out there that stops sims from autonomously 'Punch(ing) you punch(ing) me' till the cows come home?

I detest this action as much as the useless hang out and taking forever to get off the darn musical instruments before the awesome 'nobuskers' was made. The Uni part of the game is worse than in the base neighbourhood; everywhere I turn, some YA would be playing this silly game when they've finished what I told them to do, or if somehow all the tasks I had lined up for them to do had dropped off the queue.

It's all fun and games until somebody gets punched too hard and causes a drop in relationships, not to mention they don't wrap it up as soon as you give them something else to do. If I had wanted to see the red negative signs, I'd rather it be as a result of poking/annoying/insulting/slapping/fighting etc, all of which are much more interesting to watch. Has this punching business always been like this? It goes on and on until you x it out?

I think it goes on until their fun is filled, but I usually don't wait around to find out.

I thought so too. Waited for them to finish on one occasion just to find out, and they still happily punched away. Hate this punching thing they do :P. Sigh.

Sims apparently like beating on each other, whether it's slapping hands, punching them in the arm, or beating them with pillows.   :-\

Not to mention half-electrocuting them!   The programmers are definitely teenagers who never "grew up"!  Only teenagers really think farting is funny!

Well, I know some guys who are chronologically adults, but still act like teenagers and think farting is funny!

That's what I meant, overgrown teenagers!  Body of a man, mind of a big kid!

I think that describes just about every guy I know.
