Ok, does anybody know what happened to Sagesims? And if it's gone, does anybody have the files from there and want to send it to me?

My brother deleted  my My Docs/EA games folder and I lost all my downloads. I don't wanna play elders with maxis crappy clothing.

I'm not surprised that the site appears to be shut down.  It hadn't been updated in quite a while.  It's a shame, because it was one of the few places to find decent-looking elder clothing.

I'm contacting andygal to see what I can do to help.

Meanwhile, I'd like to hear Andygal's plans to get even with her brother...

I wouldn't mind some decent looking elder clothing too, if it's being offered about. :}

All About Style has great elder clothes. Very stylish. And there's a very recent entry on MTS2 w/ 3 really fabulous elder outfits. So you could check those out for the time being.

Actually, you can open up any YA/A outfit with SimPE and add <checks notes> 0x10 to the age catagory.  YA/A/Elder is 0x58; YA/Elder is 0x50; A/Elder is 0x18.

They'll still slouch, but they won't have the pot belly or thunder thighs. 

Just be careful if you do this to a top or bottom; combining a converted YA/A top with an original E bottom (or vice versa) will have odd results.

Hairfish has done quite a few of her outfits at Mermaid's Cove.

I have quite a bit but I do miss the site.. In particular, I miss being able to send people there for the list of reasons elders are GOOD. lol

It shows how to use SimPE to make adult clothing available for elders to use.

I personally prefer this to standard elder clothing which (aside from a few creators with imagination) seems to act like a symbiotic entity sucking the life out the elders who are wearing them.

You just need to make sure you pair YA/A/E tops with YA/A/E pants, otherwise there's a nasty gap.

I'm seeking Sagesims clothing too.  I got a wonderfully appropriate warning about Necromancy and dead threads.  A fitting topic for elder clothes.
Seriously though if anyone can help with gigge clothes I'd be very grateful.  Elders were almost normal with those outfits.

I can't resist jumping in here to say how bad I miss Sagesims as well.  At one time I had a lot of their elder clothing, but lost all my downloads around Christmas.  I was so disappointed when I looked for the site again and it was gone.  If anyone has these that they would be willing to share, I would also be very grateful.   :-*

Mirablu, thanks for that link. I originally noticed SageSims was gone when I was looking for that particular page to send to a friend who asked what the point was of having elders in your game.

A search of THIS SPOT (http://www.spiffysims.com/modules.php?name=Downloads) gives at least some Gigge stuffs.

I have a bunch of Gigge clothing for anyone who's interested. If memory serves me correctly, not all of the files were titled Gigge, if true, then I have a bunch of those too. They're all in the same file folder and I more than likely wouldn't have put them they weren't from the site. Just drop me a line.

I'd love to have some of the sagesims stuff my elders have been lacking since it's been gone.

Here's all the Gigge content I had as of April 20052006. I did have a lot of elder stuff, so hopefully you will find something you like there. I'm going to put the package back in my game for a look, so thanks for making me find it again.  ;D From a quick scan there's makeup and hair there too.

Now I've put this up on my own homepage, I have a 30MB limit per day, so if someone has a large filesharing page, or knows a site that may be interested in uploading it, please feel free to do so. I'll probably leave this up on my page for a week or so. Or I could put it in the google filesharing area if anyone wants?

Also thanks alot from my part, Witch. I love to play the elders too, and think they deserve much better than the crappy original outfits. As if people would lose completely their taste the same day they turn from 25 to 65 (as in the game  :P).

You're ALL most welcome. BTW I don't think the downloads are limited on my homepage, I maybe mislead you all there. I'm allowed to HAVE 30MB on the site maximum. I don't know whether that would stop anyone downloading it, I don't know if there is a limit that way. :-/

ETA: Cheers for the nice comment about New Zealand Snowyrat.  ;D I love the global community of the sims, I've made friends in England, the States, Germany and even with someone on an island in the Mediterranean. Great stuff.

Sorry, I couldn't resist :D, but I hope sincerely you wouldn't be offended. In fact, I have a big framed Reversed World Map, bought during the trip to New Zealand, hanging in my hall - as a way to teach my children some critical thinking. All the friends who visit me enjoy it very much - it's not so common here.
New Zealand is probably the most beautiful country I've ever visited, and the people were really incredibly nice there.

It's not just the hair, did you know our water runs down the plugholes in the opposite way?

Whereabouts in NZ did you visit? I'm about a third of the way down the North Island, the Bay of Plenty. It is very lovely, though we're not so green as we would have you think.

What's a reversed world map? One where left is right and up is down? Or is it just a regular world map you're hanging upside down?
