Title: Copy and Paste laptop problem
Post by: TaWanda on 2006 November 26, 01:32:18
Looking for some advice for my kid who is having a problem and needs your expert help ASAP! Laughing and pointing at her are encouraged. I already know I am not awesome. :D

 In her words:

I use Paint Shop Pro 9 a lot, and when I right-click and try to copy one image and then right-click paste it (as a new image, as a new layer, as a new selection... ANYTHING), instead it acts as a print screen. (I can provide a screenshot if needed?) I can't figure out why it keeps doing that, and it takes forever before I can get it to copy paste correctly, and then the next time I do it I have the same problem all over again.

It's also just regular copy-pasting too. Like when I try to copy the link location of a url, or a selection of text, sometimes when I go to paste there's nothing there, as if it never copied to the clipboard. It's been doing this for about a month now.

I use Windows XP (Service Pack 2) on a HP laptop.

Thanks :D

May be to "copy" the image, she has to use "shift+ctrl+prtscrn", and when she opens the Photoshop, use the Ctrl+V? I do it all the time, no problems.
