I can't stand the macrostat "Call people every damn idle moment you have" but I tolerate it because I get sick of sims being morons. However, for some odd and insanely annoying reason, one of my sims is constantly trying to call the damn bartender through macrostat. I can't have a cellphone on him or a phone in the house now because if I do; he will sit there and call them over, and over, and over, and over, and over (continue that forever).

Why in the world would it be making him call the bartenders? what must I do to make him stop that doesn't involve setting him on fire and laughing manically?

That behavior is important because otherwise there is no way to keep your sims from losing all their friends.

*BARTENDERS*? WTF? I've never seen any such thing. How exactly is this happening, and what version of game are you running? The only logical explanation I can think of is that you've somehow screwed up the controllers. Try removing them from the game, loading the affected lot, saving it, and then putting it back.

I'm running OFB and he goes to call just like everyone else, but keeps calling services for a bartender. Only he does this.

I'm going to do like you said and see if that helps.

Edit: Didn't work. The first thing he did was call the bartender.

This sims phone rights are cut-off. He can leech off his family for friends for jobs.

OFB-only, hrm. Checking into it. Does this occur only when Macrotastics selects the action, or will it occur even if you choose it manually?

There has GOT to be a 12-step progam for that... ;D

Are you using the correct (OFB) version of the hack?

There's only one version, and and it supposedly affects only THAT particular sim, which has me very baffled.

I sat there and watched him for a full sim day. At 7am he jumps up and calls the bartender service several times, but then switches to friends. About noon; he jumps on the phone and calls the bartenders almost twenty times in a row before switching to friends. About 7 at night he starts calling the bartender and doesn't stop until macrostats tell his ass to go to bed.

He can be made to manually call anyone, and never calls the bartender.


Maybe this is a one time only thing for this sim? Some of his coding has spazzed and its effecting his use of the macrostats?

Perhaps. I can't see a logical explanation for this, the code offers no information as to why he's trying to call a BARTENDER. Try deleting him and letting him mailbox respawn?

Success. He was burnated and the bartender calling ceased immediately.
