More Awesome Than You!

Haven't seen anyone mention this one yet, but I think I saw the Pets equivalent of the flying pig earlier today.  I was playing around with adding some of the new neighborhood decorations to Strangetown.  I plopped the monorail down the middle of the highway, and put two of the nuclear towers behind the crater.  While I was contemplating where to put one of the  new pet shops, some movement caught my eye, and I saw a UFO rising up out of one of the towers, glow green, and take off!  Anyone else encountered this one yet?

I saw that one the other day too.  It thought it was linked to the stonehenge thing somehow (I'd just placed that, and it seemed to zap over it).

Hmm, maybe it's tied to a couple of the new objects.  Funny, though...

yup, ive seen it to. Id dumped the stonehenge thing and the other ruin into plesentview .... cute ennit?

What flying pig?

Theres a flying pig float in OFB that was an easter egg.

I'd read that the OFB flying pig is tied to the water tower decoration. I've seen it a few times, both downtown and in the main hood. It has tusks. Blecch.

I've seent he UFO, as well. It showed up right after I'd set the Kim house down in my custom hood. That hood doesn't have a Stonehenge (except for Numenor's custom one,) and I didn't even know there was a monorail now, let alone placed one. Very weird.

I've seen the UFO with the nuclear cooling towers. It quite funny to watch, actually. It looks like the UFO is out of fuel or about to crash (with smoke coming out of the back of it) and it hovers over the cooling towers and "absorbs" energy. Then it takes off.

That sounds like fun; I'll have to check that one out when I get home.

Yea, it's worth poking around in the decorations -- they've added a couple, both static and with effects.

That;s usually the first thing I do with every expansion. I seem to be in a constant phase of neighborhood perfection. Add a tree here, put something in that empty spot. It never ends.

I've gotten the UFO 2 times now.  I hadn't changed a thing with my neighborhood.  So it's not tied to anything it is just random if you are in neighborhood view and idle.

I saw the UFO while view downtown picking a house to play as.

Wouldn't it be more fun to play as a sim? ;)

I never change my neighborhoods and I also saw the UFO.  I was beginning to think I was the only one that noticed it wasnt tied to anything.  I think its funny thats its been tied to almost everything.

Besides trees, I only have the cooling towers in my hood. I saw the UFO specifically interact with them and I saw it do the same thing multiple times. I don't like supernatural things in my hoods, that's what made me watch it. I decided to leave it since it's funny. Maybe they made the UFO interact with everything...dunno...but if you get a chance watch the cooling towers.

The one and only time I've seen it was in the default Downtown.  And it was hovering over the crashed UFO that's up toward the top of the neighborhood.

Maybe its connected to that?

Someone on one of the Yahoo groups I'm on ( Prosperity possibly) saw it.  She'd been using crashed UFOs as neighborhood decorations. According to her it was scanning them.
